"Organized Team Communication Simplified"
What do you like best about Twist?

I use Twist mainly for team communication and organizing work discussions in one place. It helps me stay connected with colleagues without having to rely on long email chains or scattered messages. I like that conversations are organized into threads, so each topic stays clear and easy to follow. What I like most about Twist is the way it organizes conversations using threads. Unlike many messaging platforms where messages quickly become cluttered, Twist keeps discussions structured so each topic stays in its own thread. This makes it much easier to follow conversations and find important information later. The organized thread structure in Twist is very helpful because it keeps each discussion focused on a specific topic. This makes it much easier to understand the context of a discussion and follow the full conversation from beginning to end. The initial setup of Twist was quite simple and straightforward. After creating an account, the workspace can be set up quickly by inviting team members and creating channels for different topics or projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twist?

While Twist works well for organized communication, there are a few areas that could be improved. One limitation is that the platform focuses heavily on asynchronous communication, which is great for thoughtful discussions but can feel slow when something urgent requires immediate attention. In those situations, it may take longer to get quick responses compared to real-time chat tools. One improvement that could make Twist more effective is adding a clearer way to flag urgent messages. Since the platform is designed for calm, organized communication, messages are usually handled when team members have time to respond. While this works well for most discussions, it can be challenging when something requires immediate attention. A feature that allows users to mark certain messages as high priority or urgent could help ensure they are noticed quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Structured Threads and a Clean Interface Keep Conversations Organized"
What do you like best about Twist?

Twist helps me to keep the conversations very structured with threads, making my inbox easier to have visibility on the discussions, not getting buried in the other conversations. They also provide a clean synchronous communication, which helps me to avoid interruptions. Their interface is also clean and intutive, their organised channels help to keep track on real time chat tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twist?

Sometimes, it does make our team collaboration a bit slower, and rapid-fire conversations are not available on this platform, which makes the platform a little behind on the use case. Their integration ecosystem is also bit smaller when compared to their competitors in this space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect for Thoughtful Teamwork, But Lacks Urgency"
What do you like best about Twist?

I appreciate Twist for removing the anxiety that comes with the pressure of immediate replies. There are no 'online' green dots or 'typing...' bubbles, which I find refreshing. Twist supports calm, organized, and thoughtful teamwork, away from the distracting pings of instant messaging apps. I also love how initially setting up logical 'Channels' such as #Design-Projects and #Customer-Feedback makes it feel like organizing a messy desk into clean drawers. Moreover, Twist becomes more powerful when connected with other tools, since it naturally integrates with software focused on productivity and automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twist?

Twist is designed for slow, thoughtful communication, which is great—until something catches fire. If there is a server crash or an urgent client crisis, Twist feels too slow. There’s no easy way to 'shout' for attention. Most teams I know who use Twist still end up keeping a WhatsApp group or a Telegram channel on the side for emergencies, which defeats the purpose of having a single 'source of truth.' Knowing that Twist isn't meant for emergencies creates a bit of mental friction. You find yourself constantly thinking, 'Should I post this in Twist, or is this 'urgent' enough for the WhatsApp group?' That split-second decision-making happens dozens of times a day. It takes away from the 'peace of mind' that Twist is supposed to provide because you’re still technically monitoring two channels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Calm and Organized Team Communication with Twist"
What do you like best about Twist?

I use Twist as my go-to space for team communication where things feel calmer and more organized. I really appreciate how everything stays structured, so I can catch up when I need to, revisit past decisions, and stay productive without the usual chat noise or constant interruptions. Twist really helps me avoid the chaos of nonstop team chats. Everything stays neatly organized in threads, which makes it easy to follow conversations and find context later. I really enjoy being able to respond on my own schedule instead of dealing with constant pings. It helps me stay focused, manage my time better, and collaborate more thoughtfully without feeling overwhelmed. Getting started with Twist was very easy for me. Signing up and setting up a workspace only took a few minutes, and inviting teammates was simple and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twist?

Overall, Twist works well for me, but there are a few things that could be better. The interface feels a bit too simple at times, and I wish there were more ways to customize it to match how my team works. Finding older conversations isn’t always as smooth as I’d like, so stronger search would help. I also miss having more integrations, since that would make it easier to manage everything from one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ideal Tool for Thoughtful Communication"
What do you like best about Twist?

I really like how Twist creates a calm, reliable space for work-related conversations, helping to separate different ideas and projects. I appreciate its focus on creating intentional responses instead of impulsive replies, and how it supports remote and async work by letting me stay involved without being constantly online. The threaded format helps keep discussions meaningful and well-documented, making it feel like a shared knowledge base rather than a chat stream. It allows me to manage my time better without the pressure of instant replies. Twist fits naturally into my workflow as a place for reflection, alignment, and meaningful collaboration. Its support for asynchronous communication and the way conversations are neatly organized into threads feel purposeful, helping me stay organized, mentally clear, and genuinely productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twist?

While I really appreciate Twist’s calm and structured approach, there are a few areas that could be improved. At times, the interface can feel a bit too minimal, which makes certain actions like quickly switching between teams or finding specific settings less intuitive than expected. I’ve also noticed that for fast-moving discussions or urgent matters, Twist can feel slower compared to real-time chat tools, since it’s clearly designed around asynchronous communication. The notification controls could be more flexible as well, especially for highlighting truly high-priority threads without adding noise. Additionally, better integrations and richer formatting options would make conversations more expressive and reduce the need to jump between tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Calm, Organized Communication with Twist"
What do you like best about Twist?

I use Twist mainly to keep my work communication calm, clear, and well-organized. Instead of dealing with constant message notifications, Twist lets me follow structured conversation threads where discussions actually make sense and stay on topic. It’s especially helpful for asynchronous work, because I can catch up on decisions, updates, and ideas without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. I like how intentionally Twist is designed to reduce noise and encourage meaningful communication. Unlike other tools that push constant real-time chatting and interruptions, Twist focuses on organized, topic-based threads that keep conversations clear and easy to follow. Twist respects deep work and asynchronous collaboration, allowing me to stay productive without feeling pressured to respond instantly. The topic-based threads keep my thoughts and conversations organized, and the asynchronous setup gives me the freedom to respond when I’m ready. Overall, Twist makes communication feel calmer, clearer, and more respectful of everyone’s time, which is what makes it genuinely valuable to me. Getting started with Twist was simple and didn’t feel overwhelming at all. Setting up the workspace, organizing topics, and inviting my team was quick and intuitive. The setup was smooth, easy, and made it clear that Twist is designed to be simple rather than complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twist?

Sometimes it feels a bit slow when I need a quick response, and the interface can take time to get used to, especially for team members coming from instant chat tools. I also feel that onboarding could be clearer to help new users understand the value of threads and asynchronous work right away. With smoother navigation and a bit more flexibility in notifications, Twist could be even more comfortable to use without losing its focus-first approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Organized Team Communication with Smooth Setup"
What do you like best about Twist?

I use Twist for team messaging and communication with family and team. It solves my real-time problems and suits my schedule with calmer and less aggressive notifications by default. Twist shines for teams with thread-based conversations, making it easy to stay organized and reference information. It's the most defining valuable feature of Twist compared to other tools like Slack, where everything flows in one endless stream. The initial setup was so easy and user-friendly. What do you dislike about Twist?

I don't like the limited integration and ecosystem with huddles and screen sharing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Threaded Communication Boosts Team Focus"
What do you like best about Twist?

I use Twist as our team’s primary communication tool, and what I like most about it is its structured, thread-based communication. Conversations stay organized by topic, making it much easier to follow discussions and revisit decisions later. The distraction-free design encourages thoughtful responses instead of constant back-and-forth messaging. I also appreciate the clean interface and strong search functionality, which help quickly find past conversations when working on long-term projects. The initial setup was very easy, with creating workspaces, inviting team members, and organizing conversations into channels and threads being straightforward. The intuitive interface allowed our team to start using Twist productively with minimal onboarding or training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Twist?

One area where Twist could improve is real-time communication. For urgent or quick back-and-forth discussions, it can feel slower compared to instant chat tools. The mobile app could also be more responsive, especially when navigating long threads or searching older conversations. Adding more native integrations with popular development and productivity tools would further enhance the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
