After I used my account for a month with a 0% refund dispute, they shut down my account, saying that my business is considered high risque without explaining any further, and they held my $4K for 120 days. Speaking to customer support was a waste of time as they won't help. The weirdest part is that my friend with the same business model uses stripe without issues. The second time. I wanted to integrate it with my real estate website. And they shut down my account in 2 months of use and with 0% refund dispute, saying business is also considered high risque, this time they hold $7k for 120 days. On releasing my funds, they started to change the date and said they were conducting further reviews... **What problems is Stripe Billing solving and how is that benefiting you?** processing card payment ### 2. No explaination on why accounts are restricted and funds in your account will never be returned. **What problems is Stripe Billing solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps you receive payments for your business transactions ### 3. Also, do not connect Xero to stripe it doesn't make reconciliation any easier and simply provides your clients with a method of not paying you the full sum of their invoice due to stripe taking a cut. It is also not presented to the client that the full amount will not be sent to the supplier. **Recommendations to others considering Stripe Billing:** Just don't use Stripe unless you have to, and do not integrate it with Xero **What problems is Stripe Billing solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were trying to solve the problem of automated payments process. ### 4. Great user interface. Easy to use API. Great product! **What do you dislike about Stripe Billing?** There is absolutely no way to reach a real person at Stripe. Email support is very slow. Receiving online payments is extremely important for any business and it is not good to go with a vendor that does not provide any phone or immediate support if something goes wrong. And things will go wrong. They mistakenly flagged our account as 'fraudulent' and shut us down with no explanation or any way to reach them! Several days later they apologized for the mistake and re-activated our account. Will it happen again? I don't know. It makes me very nervous to go with a vendor that does not have better communication and process for screening its users. I prefer WePay because they have a very involved process for becoming a partner with them, which means, they value our relationship and understand that we are trustworthy partners. **Recommendations to others considering Stripe Billing:** Customer service is important. Does your payment gateway have a relationship with your business or is everything automated with no path to contact them? How long can you expect to wait before hearing back from someone? If your company relies on online payments, consider the customer service aspect when choosing a payment gateway vendor. **What problems is Stripe Billing solving and how is that benefiting you?** Receive online payments.
