I dislike about Smartsheet is that navigating the homepage could be more intuitive, especially when trying to find frequently used folders. I had to pin the folders I use most often to make them easier to access. I love the automation features between forms and sheets, I also love the different options for view including timeline and gaant chart features. I also think most sheets are very intuitive to navigate same with the UI of the entire site is great too. The filter option is very helpful when looking at my individual tasks/responsibilities. That it is not open source and that it collaborators often lose access to sheets quickly and I have to keep inviting them. This often slows down workflows between external partners. In addition, the learning modules aren't inclusive of all types of learners... it would be a great addition to have an "assignment" for those who are physical learners as well. OMG, you basically need a form or sheet given to you by your manager just to add anything to the sheet. When I check it on mobile, it always shows a date from like a year earlier, and I have to tap the day for it to jump to the current day I’m on. It also doesn’t give me a full month calendar view—only day by day—and it sucks. On top of that, the UI feels really clunky. The creativity to make things that work for us. We are a rock-yard, so nothing is tailored to us; everything we have tried isn't beneficial or is needs more than we need. Smartsheets allow us to make things that fit our needs, user-friendly but functional. After the years it has taught us knew things also to increase our productivity. Sometimes you need help to create genuinely dedicated sheets. It has possibilities beyond what one can think of, but it requires expert help to accomplish them. AI has helped to close that gap but I do still feel that we don't know the full potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Smartsheet to track my projects in a nice and neat visual way, and I like sharing this with my managers so they can assist in prioritizing tasks if needed. It makes it much easier and quicker to create a nice visual table, and it instantly shows it in other views, like a Gantt chart. I appreciate the ease of use, especially because conditional formatting is very simple to set up and all the possible variables are listed, making the setup very fast. The flexibility which smartsheet provides is unmatchable to other products. We have used smartsheet for resource management for our team and it offered huge fleixbility in terms how we design our management tool.

Additionally how it operates is also smooth as it is similar to excel so the team is comfortable in using smartsheet as they are already familiar with excel.

The UI is not what we expect from a product like Smartsheet. Though the features are pretty nice, but since the UI is not the best it doesn't give us the feeling of a premium product.

I use Smartsheet to collect data across multiple markets, and it really solves the data part with its amazing organization. The forms I create help capture information and obtain volunteers for events, which is great. The reminders are everything for me. They keep me on track and also ensure that my team is productive and proactive rather than reactive. The workflows and reminders that go out are amazing, and the way they send out reminders helps us stay on track across multiple platforms. The triggers for workflows are problematic. I've noticed triggers being reset; it appears as if I viewed the sheet and something happens in the background that retriggers notifications. This issue created a headache because it falsely retriggered emails with new dates, like updating a due date from August 6 to August 17. It caused confusion as people thought an already-completed item was pending again, leading to extra work due to a field error. Additionally, I had technical difficulties when I first came on board, including a profile issue that left me without Smartsheet access for several weeks before I was able to set up and work with it effectively. My biggest challenge with Smartsheet is that some of its more advanced features come with a steep learning curve. I love that you can essentially create living documents that can be accessed from anywhere and anyone can be granted access to them. It works great for us because we can conduct project reviews every week and put all notes and follow up items within it so anyone can reference those notes during the week. At least at my company, it's a challenge to get between project documents. I would like to be able to view all the projects even if I can't open them all. Basically I just have to go to the home page to access any of the projects I've accessed recently, but if there's a project I'm added to, I have to ask for the link rather than go through a tree of projects and access it that way.
