In my role in TPM pricing, I rely on CPQ daily for most of my working hours. I find it to be an extremely efficient tool for handling complex pricing and quoting tasks. It processes uploaded Excel data within seconds, and its built-in rules make it quick and easy to identify and resolve any errors. One of the biggest time savers for me is the ability to edit Excel data directly within the system, eliminating the need to return to the original file and reimport it. I also appreciate the built-in address verification tool, which allows for fast address validation and makes it easy to update addresses on the fly using the convenient search feature. I think the data editing capabilities in CPQ could use some improvement. While it offers functionality that is somewhat similar to Excel, I find the user interface could be enhanced, especially when it comes to features like copy and paste. Additionally, filtering through large datasets remains rather time-consuming, as there isn't an option for more advanced filtering, like what you would find with a pivot table.
