Zero ROI." 0/5 What do you like best about Restoke? it doesn't do anything it claims it will do. The sales person was lovely (surprise.) But in reality there's zero ROI. time waster. predatory with signups (lies about length of commitment) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Restoke? predatory. do not use. We had what seemed like a positive experience during the initial trial period, however setup was taking FOREVER. It's clunky and you have to do everything manually (the AI is a joke, it doesn't auto-read anything. It doesn't scrub your email for invoices like it claims. You have to do it all - just like a free spreadsheet, but for hundreds a month? yeah.) They claimed they "fixed the bug" with that, and offered us to try 3 more months at a deep discount. We naively agreed to that 3 months (not more, not a plan, not a subscription.) However, 3 months came and went with no improvement - setup still horribly incomplete - aka ZERO ROI or proof of concept, still after almost 4 months. Then, without warning, notification, or invoicing... bam! a huge credit card charge (more than triple what we agreed to for the 3 months.) I emailed back immediately, noting that we had NOT agree to a further extension, nor to that price. They refused to reverse the charge or cancel our service. I have overhauled my food cost and recipe system into Restoke, and am better off for it. A one stop shop for stock management, food costs, prep, and more! Support from the customer service team and the in-built help system is great. Now that I have fully set up the system, it does a lot of the jobs I used to have to do manually. The set up has taken a while, but with the in built AI's help, it was much faster than it could have been. We only had snap shots of pricing and had to update costs and prices manually. Now it is all automated, and will give me warnings when previously cost effective dishes are no longer as profitable. I especially appreciate how detail-oriented the platform is-it offers everything I need to track expenses, monitor sales, and pull powerful insights to help us make better decisions. What truly sets Restoke.ai apart is their outstanding customer support. Our success manager has been instrumental in helping us get the most out of the platform, and their support articles and resources are clear, accessible, and always helpful. Restoke streamlines costing recipes and tracking costs of products and stocktakes amazingly, its simple enough for our non-techy Chefs to manage as well and also assists us with tracking things that are checked by our Food Safety Inspections as well. Keeping track of our costs is paramount and Restoke really helps us with this. The fact it integrates with Xero and our POS system easily is also a bonus and in these times essential. The best thing about them is their customer service, I would say its pretty much the most responsive & helpful out of all the systems we use. There is so much to gain from using Restoke. The recent update integrating with square and invoices from gmail giving cogs updates and analysis has been great. I have a constantly changing menu so punching in recipes for costing menus was a bit pointless for me. So yeah extremely happy to have that update. We are currently using restoke for all our recipe costing and our ordering & receiving. We've also got prep lists and daily procedures for our team in restoke. it's been really great for these. The support has been pretty good, and there's always someone real available on the chat to answer any questions. there are still a few features that we haven't implemented yet, but will get there over time. We have Restoke integrated with Xero, Square POS, and Employment Hero (payroll and rostering), and it's pretty solid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Restoke? Like any complex system, restoke was a HUGE task to setup. we had weekly zoom calls with the onboarding team to assist, but it still took a lot of time. but once it's set up the maintenance is much easier. Restoke has helped centralise all our data and systems. The supplier ordering feature alone is one of the best things about restoke for us! with the feature (the ordering) nearly anyone in the cafe is able to do the ordering, not just the head chef! it's taken a lot of the 'knowledge and decision making' out of the head of one person, and empowered the whole team to be able to do it. The service is great and if you have a problem it's often solved really quickly. I love how Restoke helps us manage everything with our Restaurant from compliance, procedures, recipe costing and helping us check our suppliers pricing so we don't miss the price increases. From ordering and helping us check our suppliers pricing so they don't try to increase on us. Managing prep recipes, helping us cost our dishes, managing our systems and procedures as well as compliance, helping us manage and organise our staff etc. There's so many things that restoke controls for us so our staff aren't asking questions every 5 minutes-how do I do this, where is that, how do I prepare this and how much. Restoke has all the right components to make our business life easier...our favourites are the stock management, cost of goods via recipes and the training and procedures module. Then you have so many real time dashboards to see exactly how things are going and things like cost of goods, profit margins on dishes and the impact of price rises by suppliers.
