I like how easily I can keep discussions next to the work. Comment threads on pages and individual blocks mean feedback on a project doc stays with the section it’s about, instead of getting lost in chat or email. I also use the to-do checklists all the time. I can turn meeting notes into action items on the spot and tick them off as the project moves. Notion has a quite unique document structure and a very simple yet powerful UI. It is very easy to integrate it with other apps (like Slack, email, etc) or MCP AI applications. It includes AI features that help both writing pages, correcting your writing or do smart search.. Easy to publish your page as an static webpage or export it as PDF. Product work is full of details that can be missed when you're, in meetings going through files and having conversations. One thing I really like is that I can store feature requirements meeting notes, roadmaps and what we decided on Notion. The pages that are connected were really useful when a feature had documents because I could move between them without having to search through lots of folders. The issue that frustrates me the most is when a workspace gets a little messy as everyone is creating pages their own way. Sometimes it's a little tricky to locate the specific document as naming isn't consistent. I would also like a better way to differentiate between current product documentation and old notes. The UI / UX is quite vast. If you are new to notion I would say that using the templates is a great starting point. There are so many things you can do with it that it can easily become disorganised. The claude MCP integration has helped me a lot with building databases and useable workspaces for our team. The notion AI capabilities are also pretty extensive to use as support or guidance to get the most out of it. As for support I have never really had to use or access this as there is a lot of info out there and nothing the MCP cannot help me with. As for pricing and ROI we use it company wide so I would say that we do get that ROI. Performance, I would say I have not explored the reporting capabilities enough to give a good view. I wish there was a way to create folders on the sidebar so my pages don't get so overwhelming and I wouldn't need to make pages with links and then remove them to reduce digital clutter. I love opening my Notion to start creating something new but easily get overwhelmed when I look at my sidebar and its full of things I haven't finished yet or can't organize in a way that reduces the mental load.
