## About Notion Sites

Notion Sites is a built-in website publishing feature within the Notion workspace platform, enabling individuals and teams to turn any Notion page into a live, publicly accessible website — without writing a single line of code. Described as "the easiest way to get a website up and running," Notion Sites removes the need for dedicated web developers or third-party website builders by letting users publish directly from their existing Notion content. With Notion Sites, users can publish an unlimited number of pages to the web, claim a personalized notion.site subdomain, and enable search engine indexing so their content is discoverable on the web. The publishing workflow is streamlined to just a few clicks: open a page, navigate to the Share menu, select the Publish tab, and the site goes live instantly. As edits are made to the underlying Notion page, the published site updates automatically — keeping content always in sync without any manual re-publishing steps. For users on paid plans, Notion Sites unlocks a richer set of customization and optimization tools. These include site themes to control the visual look and feel, search engine optimization (SEO) controls such as custom link titles and meta descriptions, and integration with Google Analytics for tracking visitor behavior and engagement. Paid plan users can also purchase a custom domain add-on, allowing them to connect an existing domain they own (e.g., careers.my-domain.com or portfolio.my-domain.com) to their Notion Site, with support for up to 25 custom domains per workspace. When using a custom domain, Notion branding can be removed from the site entirely. Notion Sites supports a wide range of content types natively available in Notion pages — including text, images, videos, databases, code blocks, and embeds from hundreds of third-party services. If a published site contains a Notion database, visitors can toggle between database views and open individual records directly from the site. Subpages are published alongside parent pages by default, though permissions can be restricted to hide specific subpages from public view. Additional visitor-facing features include the ability to search within a site, duplicate a site as a Notion template into their own workspace, and embed the published site into external HTML pages via an embed code. Site owners can also configure custom URL slugs (up to 60 characters) for individual pages to create clean, readable URLs. Notion Sites is available to all Notion workspace members, with free plan users able to publish unlimited pages and claim a notion.site domain, while paid plan users gain access to advanced SEO, theming, Google Analytics integration, and custom domain support. The custom domain add-on is priced at $10/month ($8/month with annual billing) per domain, on top of the existing Notion plan cost. Common use cases for Notion Sites include company websites, team blogs, personal portfolios, resumes, product landing pages, company handbooks, and documentation hubs — all built and maintained directly within the Notion workspace.

"Vast UI/UX and Powerful Notion AI + Claude MCP Integration"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Notion?

The UI / UX is quite vast. If you are new to notion I would say that using the templates is a great starting point. There are so many things you can do with it that it can easily become disorganised. The claude MCP integration has helped me a lot with building databases and useable workspaces for our team. The notion AI capabilities are also pretty extensive to use as support or guidance to get the most out of it. As for support I have never really had to use or access this as there is a lot of info out there and nothing the MCP cannot help me with. As for pricing and ROI we use it company wide so I would say that we do get that ROI. Performance, I would say I have not explored the reporting capabilities enough to give a good view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

How easily a workspace can become disorganised. That it is not a good project management tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

It currently track all of our teams tasks, but its been a mission to help get it to what we have now. There is no way I would have been able to do this without Claude. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Personalized Pages Make Organizing Creative Ideas Much Easier (And More Fun)"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Notion?

I use it mostly to organize creative ideas or work through structural things like budget organization. I like it best that it feels like it's own website pages personalized to you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

I wish there was a way to create folders on the sidebar so my pages don't get so overwhelming and I wouldn't need to make pages with links and then remove them to reduce digital clutter. I love opening my Notion to start creating something new but easily get overwhelmed when I look at my sidebar and its full of things I haven't finished yet or can't organize in a way that reduces the mental load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Notion is what I call my 'creative flow hub' which has helped me organize random creative ideas for my business, planning moving abroad, and even getting more serious about my budget and hobby goals. It's beneficial because I can modify a template or create my own page with the information and ideas that come to mind without feeling like there's too many things to do within the page. It's just for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One, Flexible Workspace with a Clean UI and Powerful Notion AI"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Notion?

What I like most about Notion is how it combines notes, documentation, project management, and AI in one flexible workspace. The clean UI and drag-and-drop structure make it easy to organize information and adapt pages to different workflows.

I especially value the databases, templates, integrations, and Notion AI. AI helps me summarize information, refine content, and find useful context without constantly switching tools. Performance is generally smooth, even when managing larger workspaces.

The biggest benefit is reduced tool switching—my notes, documentation, tasks, and knowledge can live in one place. The pricing also feels reasonable considering how many workflows it can replace, while the onboarding experience is simple enough to get started quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Notion can become overwhelming as workspaces grow, especially when there are many databases, pages, and nested structures. Performance can occasionally slow down with large or complex pages. Some advanced features and AI capabilities are also tied to higher-priced plans, which can make the overall cost less attractive for smaller teams. A few integrations and automations could be more seamless, and finding the right information in a large workspace can sometimes take extra effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Notion solves the problem of scattered information by bringing notes, documentation, tasks, databases, and project information into one workspace. This reduces the need to switch between multiple tools and makes it easier to keep work organized and accessible. Its templates, databases, and AI features also speed up documentation, research, and day-to-day planning, saving time and making workflows more consistent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Notion: Flexible, Powerful Workspace That Adapts to Your Team"

5/5

What do you like best about Notion?

Notion has been one of the most useful productivity and collaboration tools I’ve worked with. What I like most is that it doesn’t force you into one specific way of working — you can build the workspace around your team’s actual processes.

Interface & Ease of Use

The interface is clean, intuitive, and highly customisable. The block-based system makes it easy to build anything from a simple notes page to a detailed project tracker or company wiki. Once you understand how pages, databases, properties, and relations work, you can create incredibly structured workflows without needing to be technical.

Integrations

The integrations are one of Notion’s biggest strengths. Being able to connect tools like Slack, Google Drive, GitHub, Jira and other platforms makes it much easier to keep information connected rather than scattered across multiple applications. Notion’s newer AI connectors and developer platform make this even more powerful for teams with more complex workflows.

Performance

For a platform that can contain huge databases, multiple workspaces, linked pages and complex dashboards, the performance is generally very good. Notion has also made recent improvements to page loading, with the company reporting a 28% improvement in initial page rendering in a 2026 update.

Pricing

The pricing structure is fairly flexible because there is a free tier, with paid plans scaling based on the needs of individuals and teams. I particularly like that teams can start small and upgrade as their requirements become more advanced. The main thing to consider is that some of the more advanced AI and collaboration capabilities are tied to higher-tier plans.

Onboarding

The initial onboarding is relatively straightforward, especially because there are templates and pre-built structures that help you get started. However, I think the real learning curve comes later — Notion is so flexible that new users may initially struggle to understand just how much they can build with it. Once you get comfortable with databases, relations, views and automations, the possibilities expand significantly.

AI Intelligence

Notion AI is particularly interesting because it isn't just a chatbot sitting separately from the product. It has context from the workspace itself, which makes it much more useful for actual work. It can help with writing, summarising, database creation, research, meeting notes and finding information across connected applications. The newer Notion Agent and AI connectors make the experience feel much closer to having an AI layer on top of your existing company knowledge.

Customisation & Flexibility

This is probably my favourite part of Notion. You can use it for project management, documentation, CRM-style databases, content calendars, SOPs, knowledge management, team wikis, dashboards and much more — all within the same workspace. There is a huge amount of flexibility without requiring you to build everything from scratch.

Collaboration

Real-time collaboration, comments, shared databases and linked pages make it especially useful for teams. It becomes much easier to have one source of truth instead of having information spread across spreadsheets, documents, chats and separate project-management tools.

What could be improved

The biggest challenge is also one of Notion's biggest strengths: flexibility. There are so many options that the platform can feel overwhelming for new users. More guided onboarding for advanced features and clearer recommendations on how to structure a workspace could make the learning curve easier.

Final thoughts

Notion stands out because it is much more than a notes or productivity application. It can become the operating system for how a team documents information, manages projects, collaborates and builds workflows. The combination of flexibility, databases, integrations and increasingly capable AI makes it a tool that can grow with the way a team works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

The biggest downside is the learning curve. With so many customisation options and features, it can feel overwhelming for new users, and setting up complex databases or workspaces can take some time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Notion makes problem-solving easier by keeping information, tasks, and workflows in one place. It reduces time spent searching across different tools and makes it easier to identify what needs to be done and track it through completion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Notion as a Seamless, All-in-One Workspace for Design Docs and Planning"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Notion?

As a UI/UX designer, Notion is my central workspace for design documentation and content strategy. Its block-based system makes it easy to structure design specs, user research, and wireframe flows in a way that feels seamless and intuitive.

Being able to switch between Kanban boards for design sprints and calendar views for content planning helps me keep everything organized. The clean visual hierarchy, paired with flexible databases, also makes it straightforward to manage design systems, client handoffs, and team wikis all in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

The mobile app doesn’t feel as snappy or fluid as the desktop version. Capturing things quickly while I’m on the go could be smoother, since the loading times sometimes interrupt what should be a fast, simple workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before Notion, managing design documentation, user research, and content strategy meant constantly switching between separate tools, which fragmented both our workflow and our shared context.

Notion fixed that by bringing design specs, wireframe flows, and content planning into one workspace. With flexible Kanban boards for design sprints and connected databases for project hubs, we can link user feedback directly to the relevant design tasks. Having everything unified also keeps our design systems, team wikis, and client handoffs organized in a single place, and it saves us hours of context-switching every week. "Database Buttons and Rollups helped us turn RFCs into a clearer review workflow"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Notion?

With Databases, Relations, and Rollups, we can connect RFCs, projects, tasks, incidents, and technical documentation without having to copy the same context into multiple places. A task can point back to its project, a decision can link to the RFC that explains it, and rollups can surface status or other aggregated information without needing to open every related record. This saves a lot of time when someone needs to understand why a decision was made months later. We also rely on Database Automations, Buttons, and Webhook Actions for smaller workflows. For example, a status change can assign a task, notify Slack, or send an HTTP POST to an external service—without another script running somewhere in the background. One unexpected benefit has been removing several tiny integrations that existed only to move information between a database and another tool. For anything more complex, we still use the Notion API with granular internal integrations and connection webhooks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Notion’s automation layer has some limits that start to show once a workflow becomes more complex. For example, one automation can’t directly trigger another. That does help prevent accidental loops, but it also means certain processes have to be redesigned or handled outside of Notion. Over time, we’ve learned to keep our workspace focused on coordination and shared context, and then move heavier logic into other services where it’s easier to test and maintain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

A refactor had been running for several weeks, and our technical decisions were scattered across pull requests, meetings, and chat. To pull everything together, we created an RFC database tied to Projects, Tasks, and Meeting Notes. Each RFC tracked an owner, status, affected service, and the implementation work linked to it. We added a rollup to show whether any actions were still open, used a Database Button to create the standard review tasks, and set up a Webhook Action to send status changes to our internal tracking service. The first version had far too many properties, and nobody was sure which ones actually mattered. We simplified the schema and kept only the fields that helped people review decisions in the moment or find them later. We also used the Notion API to automatically link certain deployments back to the correct RFC. Overall, we spent much less time reconstructing context, and we got a clearer view of how a technical decision moved into implementation—without turning the workspace into another over-engineered internal app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clean Notion UI + MCP Integration in Claude Makes Our Workflow Truly Data-Driven"

5/5

What do you like best about Notion?

I really appreciate how clean the interface is. It keeps me focused on what matters instead of getting distracted by clutter. What's taken things to another level, though, is the recently added MCP integration. Being able to access my pages and databases directly from within Claude, an environment I already spend a lot of time in, has been a huge upgrade.

Tasks that used to take two steps, like digesting information in Claude and then logging into Notion to update a database, are now just one. It reads straight from my daily databases, pulls the data I need, applies the transformation to see how the previous day performed, and writes the results back automatically.

One automated feature that has really stood out is how we use a Notion database to document the results of an AI tool we run internally. An AI agent performs a weekly check on the records generated that week, extracts patterns and insights from them, and those insights directly inform how we adjust the process the following week. It has made our workflow much more data driven, since we are no longer relying on gut feeling but on what the previous week's results actually showed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

I have two Notion accounts—one for work and one for my personal life. My Claude can only integrate with one of those accounts at a time through the MCP connector. If I need to switch and do something in the other account, I have to disconnect first and then reconnect to whichever account I want to use in that moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Notion is solving one of the biggest problems we’ve always had. To give some context, the system we use to run our day-to-day operations is very limited when it comes to reporting, so we had to create separate solutions to make reporting better and easier for management to access. The issue was that those solutions only worked as reporting: they captured data, transformed it into nice charts, and then that was it. We didn’t have the ability to interact with the data or make changes from within those reports.

Once the reports were connected to Notion databases, everything started being logged in real time and updated for all report users. This removes the extra steps we used to deal with—interpreting the data and then going back into our old-school system to document it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Notion’s Flexible All-in-One Workspace for Notes, Meetings, and Databases"

5/5

What do you like best about Notion?

Notion has all the flexibility & integrations you need with a simple interface . . I can make a simple page for a meeting or notes and also build a proper database for projects and tasks. And you can link pages together, which becomes really useful once you've got a lot of company information sitting there...It's kind of like building your own internal workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Nothing major, but because it’s so flexible and easy to use, things can get messy quickly. and overall, everything feels fast enough except for the search, which takes a bit more time than the rest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Information arrangement... like before using notion information was spread across Google docs, messages, random files.. notion gives us one place to keep the important stuff. so we use Notion for a bit of everything... project notes, SOPs, meeting notes, research, internal docs.. "Effortless Brain Dumping with Seamless App Connections"

5/5

What do you like best about Notion?

I like how easy it is to get thoughts out of my head and put them somewhere I can actually work with. Sometimes I start writing about one thing and then realise there are three other things I need to consider as well. I also like that I can connect apps, which helps me keep everything organised. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

When there are too many pages, finding something I wrote a few weeks ago can take longer than I’d like. The AI helps, but it still isn’t always as quick as I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

The best thing is that I rarely lose track of important details now. It has also reduced that feeling of having too many unfinished thoughts floating around in my head. I can break complicated things into smaller parts and understand them more quickly... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Notion Replaced Three Tools with One Powerful, Fast Workspace"

5/5

What do you like best about Notion?

Notion replaced three separate tools for us: wiki, task tracker and CRM with one workspace. Databases with linked views are the killer feature: the same list of clients shows up as a table for me, a kanban for the team and a calendar for deadlines, and it's all one source of truth. Pages load fast. API let us pipe campaign results in from our own scripts without any hacks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

Permissions are still coarse - sharing a single database view with a client without exposing the rest of the workspace takes more workarounds than it should. Offline mode is unreliable and large databases (10k+ rows) get noticeably slow to filter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Notion gives each of our client client one page with brief, lead lists and results linked together, so anyone on the team can pick up a project cold. Now we have fewer "where is the latest version" questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
