What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

I don't know where to begin. The sheer number of MS SQL developers means we're not investing in a non-supportable solution. The support is top notch. The reliability, scalability, and performance. Actually, I like it *all* the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

I would say the licensing is difficult, but that was changed years ago. I can't say there's anything I dislike about MS SQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Microsoft SQL Server solving and how is that benefiting you?

MS SQL is the core of our Data Warehouse, a piece of our Business Intelligence solution which is all Microsoft, and all plays so well together. We moved from numerous on-location installations to a cloud based solution with 14 virtual servers, a Production, Test, and Dev Data Warehouse, as well as Prod, Test, and Dev servers for 56 databases all together. What do you like best about Microsoft SQL Server?

Microsoft SQL Server is the leading Relational Data Base Management System. We can connect multiple instances of users. Backup and restoring of databases is simple and secure without corrupting the data. Inbuilt profiler helps in debugging when particular set of queries need to be searched.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SQL Server?

Management of very large volumes of data such as bulk loading , Is one of the best (if not the best) relational database ,It brings you great ETL tools and data warehousing such as SSIS and SSAS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The cost of Microsoft SQL Server is often not feasible for smaller businesses. I'd like to see source control integrated into SQL Server, so that all changes to the database objects are automatically versioned and stored for reference or retrieval. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For complex a query it provides helpful tools like Query Tuning Advisor.Good additional out-of-box features like Integration services, Analysis services and Reporting services.SQL Server is highly scalable.
