I am working from SQL server 2008 versions onwards and observed that the tool is improving a lot. I used the versions 2008,2012 and now using 2016 version. I am also user of SSRS and SSIS in SQL Server.They are very good tools and used by many clients.I like the intuitiveness in the usage. It is very easy to use. Management studio is easy to use. I like management studio to work with. Also I like the SSRS and SSIS very much.ETL is easy with SSIS it shows the flow of different tasks. Allot the reporting tools have SQL server driver connectivity which is great.

The tool needs improvement a lot. As compared to other tools the improvement needs to be there in the tools.The security part need to improved. On the first startup, it asks for username and password all time even though I've set it as 'Remember me'. Tried to fix that (let it start with saved username and password) but couldn't figure it out. That's the only issue I'm having with it. Other than that I haven't had any issue when using MS SQL.
