"Sharepoint is easy to use and makes work efficient"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

Sharepoint is fairly intuitive in its interface, making it easy and convenient to navigate and use. Moreover, I appreciate how well-integrated it is with other Microsoft products, and especially the fact that, unlike so many other products these days, it doesn't try to force me to use AI in order to use the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

In my experience, there have been times when documents on Sharepoint have frozen up for me and needed to be repeatedly reloaded for me to be able to edit them, as well as instances where clicking on a file in an attempt to open it has instead led to the file being downloaded, something that one would think would be fairly easily avoided if there were options to click in the menu to either open or download a file. Additionally, the presence of AI, while optional, seems unnecessary, and I question whether that may be affecting SharePoint's performance on my computer. Lastly, while. SharePoint is a great service overall, I cannot say for certain whether it is a significant enough improvement over comparable services, such as Google Drive, to justify its price. "All-in-One File Hub With Great Search and Support"
3/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

Everything is in one location, you can access your own files and team files all within one space. I am constantly using the search function to find a certain file as i can't always remember which team it is within but with the search it check all documents you have or have permission to access which makes life a lot easier.

Helps free up memory on my laptop as i can decide if its just within SharePoint or also on my computer which is really handy as some design files can get quite large.

Never have a problem downloading files on demand and the support within SharePoint is also great if having difficulty doing something like retrieving an old version of a file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Sometimes you can forget auto update is on so you can write over a file you meant to save a new version of but at the same time you can go back to an older version so is a way around this mistake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smooth Collaboration and Smart Search in the Microsoft Ecosystem"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I like best about Microsoft SharePoint is how smoothly it brings everything together for team work. The UI is a bit dense at first, but once you get used to it, it’s pretty straightforward to navigate. It integrates really well with Microsoft tools like Teams and Outlook, which makes sharing and collaboration easy. Performance is generally stable, even with multiple people working on documents at the same time. From a pricing/ROI perspective, it feels worth it if you’re already in the Microsoft ecosystem. Onboarding takes a little time, but support and guides help you get through it. The AI features and smart search also make finding and managing content faster, which saves a lot of effort in daily use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I don’t like about Microsoft SharePoint is that it can feel a bit overwhelming at first. There’s a lot going on in the interface, and it takes some time before it actually starts to feel simple and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, Centralized Collaboration with Seamless Microsoft 365 Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

I appreciate SharePoint’s ability to organize documents and information in a centralized, secure location, while also enabling smooth collaboration across teams through its integration with Microsoft 365 tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

One of the main challenges with SharePoint is finding the right balance between flexibility and simplicity. As an environment grows, the site structure, permissions management, and customizations can become increasingly hard to maintain unless there is strong governance and clear documentation in place. What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

Everything is shared and managed from a single source, which makes it easy to connect files across different apps and collaborate with colleagues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Sometimes it can be difficult to find the exact location of a file, and if your files are connected through OneDrive, the syncing process can feel slow or frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Platform for Building Beautiful Internal Sites and Newsletters"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

Intuituive for anyone familiar with Microsoft Office tools. It enables me to dsign and build beautiful and functional internal websites that are linked from our company intranet site. I can send monthly newsletters via the platform too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Some limitations with site layout. For example the tiles on the web part have to be a predefined number of them. It would be good to be able to select any number between 1-5, I don't see why there isnt the option for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for scale, but requires disciplined management"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

I like the granular control it offers over permissions. It allows us to create secure, external-facing portals for clients or vendors while keeping our internal sensitive data completely walled off, all within the same ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Permission management can become a bit of a nightmare over time. If you aren't extremely disciplined with how you break inheritance or add users, you can end up with a 'permission soup' that is very difficult to audit or clean up later on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Powerful, Secure Hub for Collaboration Across Microsoft 365"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I like best about Microsoft SharePoint is its powerful ability to serve as a centralised, secure hub for document management, team collaboration, and knowledge sharing within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

It seamlessly integrates with Teams, OneDrive, Outlook, and other tools, enabling real-time co-editing, version control, advanced permissions, and automated workflows (like approvals and Quick Steps), which drastically reduces silos and keeps everything organised and accessible from any device.

In 2026, the modern redesign, improved AI features (such as Copilot integration), and flexible page-building tools make it even more intuitive for building intranets, automating processes, and boosting productivity without losing enterprise-grade governance and security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I dislike most about Microsoft SharePoint is its steep learning curve and often cluttered, unintuitive interface, which frustrates many users and requires significant training — especially for non-technical team members who find navigation, permissions, and document libraries confusing or overly complex.

Recent updates and redesigns in 2026 haven't fully resolved long-standing issues such as slow performance with large libraries, inconsistent behaviour (e.g., filters not sticking or broken links), sync problems, and content sprawl, which lead to poor search and low employee adoption.

While powerful for enterprises, it can feel bloated, governance-heavy, and more rewarding for admins than everyday users, sometimes making simple tasks unnecessarily complicated compared to more modern, streamlined alternatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, Seamless Collaboration with an Easy-to-Use UI"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

We can easily collaborate and share documents with other teams, or within Teams, which really boosts collaboration. Data is kept secure because the person who shares the file retains access control over it. it is integrated with office and has a very easy to use UI. It performs the way it was intended to and gets the job done. Its copilot features may come in handy to many people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

we need some time to get used to and maybe a bit of training to harness its full potential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Team Collaboration and Clear Project Updates"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

It's a really easy collaborative tool where I can share my ideas with anyone else in my team or organisation and give them updates as to how we are progressing with meeting project deliverables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Whilst it's great for collaborating, it is quite limited in its design concepts, which makes all SharePoint pages look very similar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
