## Lean Layer Reviews
 ### 1. Streamlining Automation and Salesforce Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The collaborative approach from the Lean Layer team, including demos, sandbox access, and willingness to iterate on requirements, is also a major plus.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

They are experts at what they do! However, there is a learning curve in understanding how to leverage record types and customize fields and stages. My suggestion is to have a basic understanding of Salesforce infrastructure before implementation, so you can better tailor the scope and requirements to your specific needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

If your organization manages complex renewals or has unique Salesforce workflows, Lean Layer can significantly reduce manual effort and improve data quality. Invest time upfront to define your renewal stages, contract types, and field requirements. Collaborate closely with the Lean Layer team to customize the solution to your needs, and leverage sandbox testing to validate workflows before going live. Ensure your team is trained on any new processes, especially around opportunity ownership and reporting impacts. Overall, Lean Layer is well-suited for teams seeking to automate and optimize revenue operations in Salesforce.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is addressing the complexity and manual effort involved in managing contract renewals, opportunity workflows, and logging customer engagements in Salesforce. By automating the creation of opportunities, aligning contract dates, and ensuring data consistency, Lean Layer minimizes repetitive administrative work and reduces the risk of errors. These types of automation allow our team to focus on higher-value tasks, improve forecasting accuracy, and ensure that reporting reflects the true pipeline and opportunities status. Lean Layer tailors workflows and best practices, helping to customize our Salesforce instance to our specific business needs.

 ### 2. 10/10, would recommend.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The dedication to the project daily and weekly is what stands out the most to me, along with availability to answer questions and offer assistance.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

There is nothing that stands out as a dislike based on this project.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has been helping us migrate our system of record. We have benefited greatly through this transition as Lean Layer has successfully delivered customizations to our new system while keeping historical data in tact. They have helped us to preserve and improve upon our existing processes while also adding valuable insights via dashboard metrics.

 ### 3. Transformative Operations for Revenue Momentum

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Lean Layer is a partner in the truest sense of the word. They take the time to understand precisely what our challenges are, and help us refine our objectives to focus on the most impactful projects that will actually drive our bottom line.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Frankly, none. Lean Layer has already driven positive ROI after the first 4 months of our engagement.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

Lean Layer backs up everything with concrete data - other providers have promised a lot of corporate jargon and look for reasons to balloon the scope for the sake of a larger engagement. Lean Layer is defined and focused about the problems they are solving and bring both strategy and tactical execution in a measureable way.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a challenger brand in the adtech ecosystem, our foundational revenue practices are mission critical. Lean Layer is an invaluable partner in designing critical functions, providing actionable visibility into our own data, and feeding that into momentum-building go-to-market motions up and down our sales funnel.

 ### 4. Technical and Strategic Project Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

LeanLayer consistently delivers high-quality work with a strong determination to get the job done. I also deeply appreciate their willingness to step in and assist whenever needed, as well as the speed and responsiveness of their communication. I truly can't say enough good things about LeanLayer.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

One area for potential improvement is that being an external partner, there was initially a bit of a gap in institutional knowledge regarding our internal processes. However, over time, I’ve seen this gap significantly decrease as their team has become more familiar with our organization, leading to smoother and more efficient collaboration.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

I highly recommend LeanLayer to any organization looking for a dedicated and responsive partner. Their team consistently delivers high-quality work and demonstrates a strong determination to get the job done. They are quick to assist whenever needed, and their communication is fast and reliable.

While there was initially a slight gap in understanding our internal processes, I've seen this gap decrease significantly as they've become more familiar with our organization. This increased familiarity has made our collaboration even more seamless and efficient. Overall, LeanLayer's commitment to excellence and their ability to adapt and grow with our needs makes them a great choice for anyone looking to partner with a capable, responsive team.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer was hired to help our RevOps team with our team's capacity. As of part of this, they have directly helped me with two major projects, which has allowed me to spend time on other projects. Specifically, LeanLayer helped build the back-end logic in our commissions tools so that we could rollout the new FY plans and start to pay our sales members monthly (instead of quarterly). They took the time to dedicate to be an expert at the commissions tool we use and has successful helped roll the plans out each of the last two years. The second project was strategic planning on how we could merge our separate Professional Services opportunity type into our true Sales Opportunity Types. This will allow us to report consistntly and have better efficiencies when closing PS.

There are times in which things may be a priority for us, but we are unsure what else is on their plate from other clients to help manage expectations

 ### 11. Amazing Strategic & Executional Partner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The people have been great. No matter who we have worked with they have been sharp, energetic, and easy to work with. The Lean Layer team has felt like part-time employees of our company

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

It's not specific to Lean Layer, but the challenge with any sort of outsourced/fractional function is that they don't have the day to day context of our business like someone working in it full-time would have. Lean Layer has done a good job combatting this by keep staffing consistent and trying to deeply understand our goals.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has helped us solve a variety of pressing challenges to our business as we have continued to scale 3x YoY. They have been a great partner building out our SFDC, HubSpot, Gong, Outreach, Unity, and ChiliPiper infrastructure, while also being a great strategic partner as we thinking about scaling our marketing and sales teams.

 ### 12. Efficient and seamless partnership

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madisyn A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

From the beginning the Lean Layer team was always very straight forward around what was needed on our side. We were able to complete a 4 month engagement with minimal time needed from our internal team, allowing for a seamless process. Timelines were met and everything outlined was delivered on time. Great team and nice to work with!

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing to note. Seamless, efficient partnership.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

Have your challenges defined clearly and what outputs you are hoping to receive, if those challenges were solved.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The team here at Digital Remedy faced challenges around siloed reporting, outdated customer hierarchy, and workflow structure in Hubspot. All of this prevented us from being able to fully customize reporting, understand target accounts, andaccurately measure against our forecasted revenue. Al and his team provided their recommendations on if we should migrate to a new CRM or evolve HubSpot, ultimately we decided on evolving HubSpot.

With them we were able to:

- Enrich our data to bridge gaps in customer data and hierarchies

- Build pipelines and workflows to create data flows from CRM to cloud database

- Build comprehensive dashboards to track KPIs and forecast revenue

- Redo entire customer hierarchy to clean up data and ease salesperson data input workload

 ### 13. Lean Layer is the trusted partner you need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JoJo S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Their customized apporach allowed us to end in a position where we feel like our CRM is now set up to really support our business needs.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Lean Layer was a bit more expensive than some of the other partners we evalutated, that said, the value you get from their work is above what you will get from any other partner. It's worth it to spend the budget with Lean Layer rather than with a partner where you'll end up needing to redo the work.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

Give them a shot - you will not be dissapointed.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer helped my team implement HubSpot seamlessly. I've had experience with many implementation partners, and it's clear that LL is the most hands-on, organized, and efficient. What stood out to me the most is their customized approach - they really took the time to understand our business and our unique needs, which allowed for them to make cusotmized recommendations to us throughout working together. Their support went above and beyond and I would certainly recommend working with LL to any organization. With them, you can trust that they are giving you their honest advice and that they always have your best interest top-of-mind.

 ### 14. Wonderful experience working with Phyllis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

It has been extremely convenient, efficient, and effective to work with Phyllis. She was able to evaluate the ask, gauge where to step in, and fit in really well with our internal teams.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

I personally did not experience any downsides working with Lean Layer. Just wish we could keep Phyllis!

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phyllis helped us as we transitioned our GTM org onto a new version of CPQ and updated processes for generating OFs, SOWs, and MSAs. She was a jack of all trades throughout this process, stepping in to assist at any point throughout planning, testing, and implementing. She played a huge role in the success of the project.

Expertise - they know what they're talking about
Expertize - they are action oriented and helping us get work done. It's not about the meeting, but the results.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

I have no complaints at this time. They are delivering on what we asked and requested them to do.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

If you're scaling and don't have the funds for FTE Sales Ops, this is your ideal option.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling a start up. We are trying to move from working harder to working smarter across the entire organization, but specifically in our GTM efforts.

 ### 16. Best in the business!!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Lean Layer focuses on solving problems related to inefficient design processes, particularly in the areas of design consistency, communication, and speed. By streamlining the design systems and providing a more efficient workflow, it enables our teams to create high-quality, scalable designs while minimizing wasted effort.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

There is nothing that I dislike about Lean Layer!!!!

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

Start with a Clear Design System: Before diving into Lean Layer, make sure your design system is well-defined. Establish consistent design principles, patterns, and components. This will give you a solid foundation to build on and make the most of Lean Layer’s capabilities in maintaining consistency.

Involve Cross-functional Teams Early: Lean Layer can be most effective when it’s part of a collaborative effort. Engage not just designers, but also developers, product managers, and other key stakeholders early in the process. Their input will ensure that the system is practical and usable across different areas of your organization.

Embrace Iteration: Lean Layer is great for improving efficiency, but it’s important to remember that design systems need continuous refinement. Don’t expect perfection from the start. Regularly revisit and iterate on the design system to ensure it remains effective as your product evolves.

Invest Time in Onboarding: Make sure that everyone who will be using Lean Layer—whether in design, development, or other roles—understands how it works and how it will benefit them. Proper training and onboarding will ensure that the tool is used to its full potential, reducing confusion and resistance.

Leverage the Flexibility: Lean Layer is designed to be flexible and scalable. Don’t feel restricted by predefined templates or structures. Adapt the system to fit your team’s unique needs and workflows. This is especially important for teams that are scaling or evolving quickly.

Focus on Communication: While Lean Layer improves efficiency, clear communication between teams remains key. Use the platform to facilitate discussions around design decisions and feedback, which helps ensure that everyone is aligned and that the system is being used effectively.

Track Metrics and Impact: Continuously track how Lean Layer impacts your workflow, efficiency, and product quality. Collect feedback from your team, and use data to make informed decisions about adjusting or refining the design system. It’s an ongoing process, and staying on top of its performance will help you optimize its benefits.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is exceptional and has helped me and my team build out different Salesforce foundations to better my team and company as a whole. Lean Layer helps us work smarter by enhancing design consistency, improving collaboration, and speeding up workflows, all of which has been beneficial for me and my team as well as our company as a whole since it has allowed our work ethic to better evolve and focus on delivering high-quality results.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean G.

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

They have a keen eye towards our business context that they apply to strategic planning and decision making on project delivery. They are phenomenal partners and provide a strong point of view about best practices for system design.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing. The only point of feedback I can say here is that they should not be perceived as an extension of in-house resources. Their team must be properly scoped and bought in before moving to execute on strategic projects. Take your time with the engagement and make sure you provide as much context during a discovery phase as possible.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has been partnering with our organization for almost one year, delivering on various strategic revenue operations, marketing operations, and demand generation initiatives. Our organization needed to build consistent full-funnel campaign reporting and workflow optimization, which has been the core focus of our team. I'm happy to say that they have built and delivered the contract scope, and we could not be happier with them as partners to our business.

 ### 29. Fantastic experience working with Lean Layer to solve our biggest challenges

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryanna C. | Manager, GTM Strategy & Analytics (Marketing & PLG), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

I really enjoyed working with the team. They were all so smart and helpful. I could (& did) spend hours talking to them about different aspects of GTM and what we could do to improve.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

The downside for us was the cost when we could do the work ourselves over a longer period of time, even though likely not as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

We had a great experience workign with Lean Layer and I would suggest them to anyone in need of support in driving GTM projects.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer helped us identify gaps in our GTM strategy and provided solutions for how to resolve them. With Lean Layer's help, we were able to prioritize our efforts on the projects that will drive the most impact for our business. This was incredibly beneficial because we needed external expert opinion on how we were performing in order to get buy in on our projects.

 ### 30. Lean Layer is the secret to our success!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

They are a great partner. They listen and seek to understand our business. They take feedback well and are quick to make changes to benefit our organization.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

I'm disappointed they are available 24 hours a day. ;-)

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like many organizations we've been running the business with spreadsheets and we were successful doing it. This year, with the help of Lean Layer, we have real systems and processes in place to help us be wildly successful. They led us through a thoughtful discovery process to ensure they understood the nuances of our business and captured our key business processes so they could enable them in our new system. Now we operate with realtime visibility to the important aspects of our business and it's beautiful. They are also helping us "see around corners" by helping with sales operations and predictive analytics.

They are very responsive, come up to speed on very complex industries quickly, and take action without needing hand-holding. I also liked that we quickly had access to people with specific technical skills that we didn't have in-house

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

They were expensive but we didn't look at their competitors so perhaps they are on par with peers

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They provided staffing to support us in identifying and enriching new accounts. It gave us peace of mind to know that it was addressed without needing to give capacity to answer a large number of questions or work through problems on the ground

 ### 34. Lean Team, Massive Impact

**Reviewed by:** Jeff T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

They listen, they learn about your business, they document, and then they go do. Enough said.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Absolutely nothing. They exceeded our expectations.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

If you want a team that gets it done, call Lean Layer. They are easy to work with and outstanding!

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a fast growth but early stage startup, we had no revenue ops function in place. Frankly, we didn't have a marketing ops function in place either! The Lean Layer team came in, quickly took the lead, and established the processses, built the workflows, identified who owned what in our company, and got the capability up and running extremely quickly. Outstanding, hard working, and highly collaborative team of driven and friendly people!

 ### 37. Lean Layer has been a tremendous help throughout my experience working with them.

**Reviewed by:** Blake S. | Corporate Sales Development Representative , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

I really like the attitude they bring everyday. Bhreno has not only helped me with any problems I have faced, but he has done it with a great attitude.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

In my personal experience, I do not dislike anything about Lean Layer.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

 ### 38. Highly capable team with expansive knowledge and excellent project management skills

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The team is great at project management. They are also highly skilled at vocalizing tactics in a way that makes sense to both top level management and tactical data driven teams.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

I wish the rest of my internal teams could work as efficiently as they do. Lean Layer is often ahead of the project and awaiting unavoidable internal blockers.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

They have a vast working knowledge across many industries and tech. Have a sit down and explain your challenges and don't hold back. Giving them all the nitty gritty details will ensure they understand all the sources of your problems and enable them to provide more value to your org. They are great at real-talk and won't try to sell you a solution if they don't feel it'll truly bring value or solve major challenges in your org.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is helping build and roll-out an ABM b2b strategy. ABM is often no more than a buzzword and sounds great until you try building an actual ABM strategy. Lean Layer took time to truly understand our business model and apply their advanced tactics in a way that works for us. They don't stick you in a cookie cutter, one-size-fits-all strategy and take time to help in a meaningful way. They've also been fantastic at building and training us on advanced SFDC configurations, reporting, and other strategic low-hanging fruit tactics.

 ### 39. Best RevOps, Sales, and Marketing Partner!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

They really just made my life so much easier.. we have a relatively small revops team (3 people) supporting a 80 person sales team. There was a ton to do and even the thought of hiring was overwhelming with job description, interviewing, potentially hiring the wrong person, onboarding them etc. My CRO had worked Lean Layer in the past and made an intro that quite literally changed my life.
I'm not one to usually leave reviews but this team really is phenomenal. Al, Phyllis and the team were able to come in and tackle all of the things we couldn't get too off our plate. They came in for 6 months, got us in an amazing state, helped us hire an internal person, helped onboard them and then phased out. They left us with all of the knowledge and documentation we needed that set us up for success and scalability.
Bringing them on was the best decision I made for my career & sanity. I learnt so much from this team and they were a huge help in helping us be strategic, data-driven and get sh*t done.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing I didn't like honestly, from onboarding to execution to knowledge transfer. It was all a great experience.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a lot of things in the 'back log' but also were solving for strategic business challenges at the time we brought them on. Lean Layer's capacity and capabilities allowed them to tackle both simultaneously.
For the 'back log' projects, it was a lot of data clean up, tech stack optimization, automations and simplification of our CRM which had turned into a SFDC Frankenstein over years of changing hands and overcomplicating. We had a ton of apex code that was super expensive in time and resources every time we wanted to change something in our Salesforce so they were able to do a re-haul that simplified our CRM while still ensuring it worked for our business and the customizations we needed. As far as helping us with business challenges - they helped improve our forecasting, gave visibility into productivity per rep, built dashboards with our marketing and sales teams, built an account scoring model based on historical data and lot of other things. I'd estimate based on the projects they worked on that they saved us over $1M between cutting out tools with duplicative features, simplifying our SFDC so we didn't have to contract consultants going forward and giving us the visibility to enable us to hire/fire quickly and optimize our conversion rates. Would highly recommend and will 100% be engaging this team in the future.

 ### 40. Hit all objectives within the timeframe agreed upon

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew E. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Very efficient communication and was always very straight forward around what was needed on our side. Timelines were very clear and always met and everything outlined was delivered on time. Great service and nice to work with, too!

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing to note. As mentioned, was a very seamless partnership.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

Have clear outlined Hubspot challenges from the onset and what would be accomplished by solving them.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The marketing team at Digital Remedy faced challenges around contact segmentation, lead scoring, and workflow structure in Hubspot. It prevented us from being able to send targeted communication, understand which leads are the most engaged, and creating effecient workflows. We RFPd several potential partners and Lean Layer was defitely a cut above the rest.

With them we were able to:
- Enrich our data to enable better targeting and worflows
- Value each contact/company with scoring based on engagement
- Create more effective workflows
- Better understand the potential of our database

 ### 41. Very Responsive & Understanding of Business Needs

Lean Layer has been an amazing partner. They take the time to understand our business, share ideas and then implement to help improve our business processes. Their help & support is genuine and I am proud to have them as a part of our company.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

No complaints! I'm always impressed in the personal touch in every interaction.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer helps us improve our business processes. We are a small, but rapidly growing company with new systems and processes in place to manage our business. Sales accuracy and understanding our opportunities in using our systems is key to measuring and monitoring our growth. Lean Layer is there with us every step of the way to help us all get there successfully.

 ### 42. Professional and Organized Team Support

**Reviewed by:** Sam S. | Sr Manager, GlobalcNew Business, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The team at Lean Layer is extremely responsive and always able to help when dashboards or reports are not working and things are impacting revenue producing activities.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

I did not experience any downsides when working with the team!

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

The Lean Layer team is also great at assessing the revenue funnel and making recommendations on what will move the needle most whether that is top of funnel conversions or bottom of funnel.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has been instrumental in helping us build a long-term outbounding strategy for our New Business revenue team. First they worked with us to understand where we needed help and then made recommendations on how we should proceed. From there, they worked with us to build out systems that we can use moving forward.

 ### 44. CRO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike P. | Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

They are on it! They do their research, know what they are doing and truly lead the charge. Great demeanor while working with key stakeholders and balancing other consultants and blockers.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Right now, I am 100% satisfied. The biggest issue we have had is with a different provider but Lean Layer has been fantastic working around those issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

Be clear on you rneeds. What I appreciate about Al is he is very clear on expectations. Meaning, he will tell you what they can do and what they don't do. Be prepared and clear regarding your needs and Al will let you know if Lean Layer is the correct fit.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is building out our revenue infrstructure. We need to revamp all systems and processes enabling us to scale. They have been outstanding finding the correct technologies, helping us negotiate favorable terms, documenting all of our processes via stakeholder interviews, working with other consultants that manage other technologies for us and delivering a technology solution that atomates our sales processes. As an outcome, we will have real time data via dashboards to run our business, find opportunities and quickly resolve them.

 ### 45. A+ RevOps Partner

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has helped us maintain super high productivity with a very small team internally. They have worked with nearly every corner of our business, and are an invaluable partner in planning and executing on our GTM efforts.

 ### 46. Simply the best fractional RevOps team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2024

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Lean Layer has been an amazing asset for us. They move quickly, implement best practices, and I finally feel like I can trust our data and get the visibility I need to make decisions around our strategy.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. They were a great team and easy to work with!

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

The sooner you bring the team on the sooner you'll benefit from their services! The impact we've seen from them has been huge - you won't regret it.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a never-ending wish list of revops projects that no one had time to get to so we brought on Lean Layer. They were able to take care of all of it us (from big strategic projects to adhoc ones) giving us a huge lift. One of the most successful projects was when they ran a closed analysis and looked at historical data to identify and segment accounts by purchasing behavior and churn rates, using employee count as a key metric. By reverse-engineering successful accounts, they developed a scoring system with 30 real-time signals. This informed our strategy revamp, including lead routing and targeting, to better serve upmarket customers and reduce churn.

As a result they successfully shifted the mix of business from eSMB to upmarket accounts, and from non-tiered accounts to tiered accounts. Because both NDR and Win Rates are higher for up market and tiered accounts, the CAC to LTV ratio for the customer shifted significantly. This resulted in 122% increase in revenue from upmarket accounts, a 340% higher win rate for Tiered Accounts vs Non-tiered Accounts, and a 93% NDR for Tiered Accounts compared to 43% for Non-tiered Accounts. As you can imagine, this was a huge win for our team!

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The team - they have a great, talented group of people who are client centric and are true experts in the domain. When the market is shifting, it's also awesome to have a third party perspective to give insights into benchmarks and market trends.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing critical to note here in partnering with LL

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

You must be specific about your needs and take accountability to prioritize their work accordingly. We could give them an unlimited number of projects but business priorities have to align. Review these priorities monthly/quarterly.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ops infrastructure, segmentation and ICP alignment, goal setting, and building and repeatable, scalable operating cadence between sales & marketing

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

I did not expeirence any challenges with Lean Layer!

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer came in to our organization (White Ops at the time) and upleveled our revenue operations practices, applying best practices that fit our particular needs and providing hand on training and documentation for sustainable success. As a leader in the organization it was imperative to have clean and actionable data out of our CRM (Salesforce) to properly resource and manage our book of business. Lean Layer helped us acheive the maturity needed to scale.

 ### 50. An Extension of Your Rev Ops Team and Company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eli K. | Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

They're a pleasure to work with and they really get it. They get my company's business and they get RevOps.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing to dislike about Lean Layer. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has been a critical part of 2 separate Revenue Operations build outs for me. They are incredibly knowledgeable about all things Revenue Operations and act more as an extension of your team and company, compared to other consultant groups I've worked with who are more transactional. At both companies from which I've worked with them, they've gotten to know the business inside and out so they can make the right recommendations and help move the ball forward. On top of that, they're wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them!
