## Lean Layer Reviews
 ### 1. Director of Sales at Anoki

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gina D.

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Lean Layer makes it much easier to see what’s actually happening in real time. What stands out most to me about Lean Layer is how it brings clarity and structure to the sales process without adding friction.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Since I’m still relatively new to Lean Layer, there’s definitely a bit of a learning curve as I get familiar with all the features and workflows. Some things aren’t immediately intuitive at first, but as I spend more time with it, it’s getting easier to navigate and see the full value.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is solving the problem of inefficiency and lack of clarity in processes by streamlining workflows and reducing unnecessary complexity. It helps eliminate wasted time, minimizes errors, and makes it easier to focus on what actually matters. For me, that’s translated into faster execution, better organization, and less mental overhead when managing tasks or projects. Overall, it’s made my work more efficient!

 ### 2. The best of the best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharmaine I.

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

What I like best about Lean Layer is how hands-on and solutions-oriented they are. They don’t just execute requests—they really take the time to understand our process and suggest better ways to do things.
They’ve been especially helpful in identifying gaps we didn’t even realize were there and turning those into more efficient, scalable workflows. It feels like a true partnership rather than just a vendor relationship.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing significant to flag at the moment

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is helping us clean up and streamline a lot of the gaps in our lead management process. Before, we had issues with things like inconsistent data, manual workflows, and delays in getting MQLs to sales.
They’ve helped automate and standardize how leads are captured, routed, and progressed—especially across tools like HubSpot, Zoom, and Slack. That’s made a big difference in speed-to-lead and overall data quality.
At the end of the day, it’s helping us work more efficiently, improve follow-up, and get a clearer view of what’s actually driving pipeline.

 ### 3. RevOps Support for Complicated Systems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse B.

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

My favorite thing about the people at Lean Layer is that they work more as an extension of the team rather than a typical agency. We have weekly calls with them to go over what projects are taking priority, and we have a Slack channel which they are very responsive in.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

In my experience working with Lean Layer, I have not experienced any downsides.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is supporting our RevOps team across multiple CRMs and marketing platforms. Some of the projects they've worked on include cleaning up how we report on leads coming from marketing efforts, lead scoring, and consolidating data and accounts. This is helping us move faster as a RevOps team when it comes to reporting, and it lets us collaborate more closely with other teams internally knowing they have some of these data projects handled.

 ### 4. Revolutionized Our Rev Ops with Expertise

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emilie L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

I appreciate Lean Layer's work in helping us repair a botched salesforce migration by taking on roles like our sfdc admin and developer, which was really crucial for us as we scaled up our internal team. Their engagement manager has been valuable in helping us prioritize and flag critical steps across our leadership. I also find their service beneficial in giving us visibility into funnel activities, specifically in streamlining our SDR tracking and data hygiene, which has helped increase our pipeline. Their ability to align leadership by sharing their point of view is another aspect I find valuable. Additionally, they do a good job communicating with our leadership, which is really good.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

N/A

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer acts as our rev ops team, helping with Salesforce migration, improving SDR tracking, data cleaning, and providing visibility into funnel activities, which boosts our pipeline. They prioritize and align leadership effectively.

 ### 5. An honorary member of our RevOps & Onboarding team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leslie N.

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

What I like best is that Al genuinely understands the tools he's working with at a deep level — not just surface features, but how to architect things the right way for scale. With Arrows specifically, he helped us think through gating logic, automation design, and task structure in ways that actually changed how we approach the platform. It never felt like he was just checking boxes; he was invested in making sure what we built actually worked for our team long-term.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Honestly, not much. The only thing I'd note is that because Al is so in-demand, you have to be intentional about scheduling and keeping the engagement moving. It's not a complaint so much as a heads up you get out of it what you put in.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has been a huge help in navigating our transition to Arrows and optimizing how we use it across our onboarding program. Al specifically helped us think through task architecture, gating logic, and automations in ways we wouldn't have landed on ourselves — and then helped us actually build it out. Beyond Arrows, they've been a sounding board for process decisions and helped us find opportunities to track better metrics and get cleaner reporting out of HubSpot. The benefit has been real: less manual work, better visibility into onboarding performance, and a more scalable process overall.

 ### 6. Excellent team and consistently high-quality deliverables

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Monalisa S.

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The consistency. The team delivers high-quality work every time, without exception. I recently collaborated with them on a workflow automation project, and they've helped us incredibly fast while still meeting all our requirements. A special shoutout to Anne, she's very transparent, efficient, and keeps everything moving in the right direction.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. The team is well-prepared, responsive, and has always supported us well. It's rare to work with a partner where there's genuinely nothing to critique.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is helping us restructure our data and improve how we report it, while also reframing some of our processes. The impact on our day-to-day has been tangible. What stands out is how thoughtful and planned their work is. They don't just deliver; they dig deep to truly understand everything before proposing solutions.

 ### 7. A Single Source of Truth for Forecasting and Revenue Tracking!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarineh C. | SVP (West) Brand and Channel Partnerships

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The people and ease of use! The Lean Layer team has been easy to work with and quick to make modifications based on our needs as an organization. The simplicity of the platform allows for quick adoption and in turn, ability to strategically do client outreach and manage internal forecasting.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

I haven't found any issues with Lean Layer as of yet!

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is helping us consolidate how we manage forecasting, activity tracking, and revenue capture into a single, centralized system. Instead of relying on multiple spreadsheets and disconnected tools, we’re able to organize and monitor pipeline health, sales activity levels, and revenue projections in a much more structured way.

As a manager, it allows me to capture revenue performance in greater detail and translate day-to-day sales activities for my team into clearer forecasting and business insights. In turn, we can provide leadership with more accurate projections, better transparency into performance, and a stronger understanding of how activity is translating into revenue outcomes.

I find Lean Layer incredibly helpful in integrating Salesforce, Clari, Gmail, and Salesloft, which has addressed our initial integration issues. Having Michael from Lean Layer as a resource is fantastic because he's always quick to respond and support our sales team efficiently. I also appreciate the team's expertise in making Salesforce function optimally for us. Overall, the support we've received has been top-notch, and I'd rate their services a 10/10.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

There have been some technical challenges with these integrations, some of the time our reps integrations haven't worked but Lean Layer has helped to solve those issues.

I use Lean Layer for data and reporting, and they do a phenomenal job. They've been incredibly responsive and helpful from day one. The team, including Claire, Meredith, and Brooke, are experts in their field and very responsive, which is crucial for me. Claire, specifically, gives me a lot of actionable data related to revenue operations and HubSpot, which I can use every day. They also ensure our HubSpot instance operates correctly. Lean Layer stands out with the best capabilities and support, offering a strong partnership with our organization. I can't think of anything I'd like them to improve, and I've already recommended them to others.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

nothing at all

Lean Layer handles our HubSpot hygiene, data and reporting, sales process, marketing operations, and general revenue operations expertly, with actionable data aiding my daily tasks. They offer great capabilities, support, and partnership, making them highly recommendable.

 ### 10. Transformative Transition with Exceptional Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali G.

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

I would choose Lean Layer hands down over anyone after working with Al. Al has been instrumental in helping us navigate the transition from Rocketlane to Arrows, teaching us the basic flows and functionalities, and helping us to think outside the norm to improve our overall process. Al's support has been incredibly valuable, not just in improving our processes, but in finding opportunities to track better metrics and achieve much better reporting. I appreciate the responsiveness, friendliness, and business insight Lean Layer offers. The way they helped us to transfer our onboarding tasks to Arrows, take advantage of the platform's gating and automations, and manage Arrows to HubSpot integrations is commendable. I wish we could partner with Lean Layer forever.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer helps us transition from Rocketlane to Arrows, improves our process conceptually, and boosts reporting and metric tracking. Al’s support makes complex platform features like gating, automation, and integrations with HubSpot easily manageable.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** AJ S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

I use Lean Layer for analytics reporting, and they're really good at task management, it's top notch. They have great expertise in our tool stack, which has been important for us. Their performance and delivery of great deliverables have deepened our relationship recently. I find them very responsive and widely available fairly quickly to support issues if they arise. They helped us make sense of all the total addressable market data we had, with a strategic scoring solution that enabled our BDRs and account executives to pursue the highest probable targets in our ecosystem. This has led to a considerable impact on pipeline generation.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing at this time

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer helps me make sense of total addressable market data with a strategic scoring solution, enabling my team to target the most probable leads and significantly boost our pipeline generation.

 ### 12. Awesome teamwork, would highly recommend

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim R. | Director, Business Development, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The Team - all about the people. The team we worked with were collaborative, friendly, action orientated and looked to create a partnership and single team.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Not a dislike... but they are business agnostic. As with and vendor/supplier, you get out what you put in. You (the owner) needs to provide background and nuance to the business, trends and variables.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is helping to visualize our front end data collection (Salesforce), enabling quicker decision making, better management of sales teams and more insight into customer buying patters in a B2B Services business.

 ### 13. Strong Salesforce Lead-to-Cash Partner

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christina L. | VP of Operations & Information Systems, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

They are willing to build from the ground up solutions when needed, but also ensure that native functionality is leveraged when suitable.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Lean Layer is collaborating with multiple departments on initiatives and sometimes we end up with a "right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing" scenario and initiatives accidentally clash.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is working with our company through our inaugural year of using Salesforce. We are building out a new structure for the Lead-to-Cash process that requires a lot of understanding of the new business processes, Salesforce capabilities and integrations with multiple systems. Lean Layer is assisting with all of this.

 ### 14. Great experience!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andre H.

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Very approachable, and laid all the worksheets for analysis out very well

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Some hyperlinks were incorrect (for fields) and the exact field label was not copied

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- A lot of field debt on three related objects, and required analysis on what fields needed to be removed
- Converting old Process Builders to Flows
- Understanding how Parent/Child hierarchies for Accounts work, and the amending the current methodology to have a cleaner hierarchy
- Revenue / Gross Profit calculations were analysed, with many nested formulas requiring re-examination

 ### 15. Great experience switching an outdated process to a new tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Addison H.

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

We've been working with Al, and he has a great strategy mind to be able to quickly understand our (complex) business and be able to implement the new solution. Very little hand holding needed.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

The downside here is similar to other contractor groups I've worked with: having to get them up to speed and just enough knowledge of our internal business without being in every meeting every day.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has been instrumental in standing up a new tool for us. We did not have the internal capacity to focus on it, and it was a long and complicated set up that involved both process and data management.

 ### 16. RevOps Expertise for Maturing Org

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javan B. | Head of RevOps

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The quality of thinking is the standout. They don't just execute tasks; they bring strategic context and push back when something doesn't make sense. It feels like a true partner, not a vendor.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Bandwidth can be a constraint at times when we're running multiple workstreams simultaneously. Not a dealbreaker, but something to plan around.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has been a valuable partner for both ad hoc best-practice guidance and larger strategic projects. We needed senior RevOps expertise across Salesforce architecture, process design, and cross-functional ops work ... they've filled that gap efficiently and flexibly.

 ### 17. Adaptable Partner for Dynamic Business Needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kent S. | Sr Manager, Sales Operations, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

I like that Lean Layer was quick to respond and professional, articulating their model and value well. They helped us manage Salesforce and other GTM systems, and they provided quick, reliable support to our sales reps. I appreciate their flexibility and the experience their team has, offering various resources to tackle a wide range of challenges. They use Asana to manage and track projects and tasks, which provides clear transparency on what is being worked on and how long it takes. Their ability to fill in various gaps across the business is great, especially since our needs change often. They can help with technical projects, and then quickly transition to strategic or process improvements.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

I wish they had a system for off-hours support.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer helps us manage Salesforce and other GTM systems, execute strategic projects, and provide quick, reliable support to sales reps. They prioritize projects effectively and adapt to our changing needs, making them a versatile partner in both technical and strategic initiatives.

 ### 18. Tailored Engagement Support That Feels Like a True Partnership

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

What I like most about Lean Layer is the quality of their engagement support. They were very intentional about pairing us with an engagement manager who genuinely understands our organizational structure, priorities, and bandwidth constraints, and that alignment has made a real difference.

Our engagement manager doesn’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. She adapts to how our team operates and proactively helps us think through execution in a way that feels tailored rather than templated. It’s rare to experience that level of partnership.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

I don’t really have any meaningful drawbacks to point out. The engagement has been managed well, expectations were set clearly from the start, and overall the experience has stayed consistently positive.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

For organizations that want to scale operations thoughtfully without increasing overhead, Lean Layer can be a strong fit. Success comes from defining what “good” looks like early and leveraging their engagement model fully. When aligned properly, they can function as a meaningful extension of your team.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer helps solve the challenge of running RevOps with limited resources and too many competing priorities. When I’m responsible for systems, reporting, process optimization, and cross functional alignment without a fully staffed team, operational gaps and manual work can easily slow me down.

By reducing manual processes, centralizing visibility, and streamlining workflows, Lean Layer enables us to operate more efficiently and proactively rather than constantly reacting. As a result, we’re able to build more structure, consistency, and scalability within RevOps without needing to add headcount.

 ### 19. Lean Layer’s Expert Team Delivers Scalable Solutions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Lean Layer does not just execute requests but also listens to problems and works as a partner to provide scalable solutions. They have skillfully guided us down a multi-quarter operational build and Salesforce refinement that first lays the foundation and then adds on improvements to take full advantage over time. Lean Layer has the expertise to assist in a multitude of areas with a team of subject matter experts that answer the call when asked to support in a focus area. This is a great benefit for a scaling team that may not need full time resources on each individual aspect.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

It is critical to strike the balance and find the operational rhythm for working with internal and third-party resources to make sure the engagement is successful.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has played a major role in re-shaping our foundational Revenue Operations core alongside taking the reigns on a mid-flight Salesforce implementation. They have helped steady the rudder while providing scalable and impactful changes to our systems and processes that provide the visibility and operational feedback needed to make critical business decisions.

 ### 20. Great for lean teams that needs serious RevOps backup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeni B. | Brand Consultant & Fractional Marketing Leader

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

That I can trust their strategic approach, that they bring frameworks rather than letting decisions get bogged down in committee.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

At this point, there's nothing negative to comment on.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is helping our team untangle years of messy HubSpot architecture. They're fixing broken attribution, cleaning up stale contacts, and rebuilding our conversion tracking from the ground up. The impact has been significant cost savings on our CRM bill and finally having reliable data to make marketing decisions. If you have a lean team that needs serious RevOps backup – hire Lean Layer!

Phyllis is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. She consistently thinks two steps ahead, anticipates challenges before they arise, and offers thoughtful solutions even for the most complicated ideas. What initially felt like a very daunting integration ended up feeling manageable and well-structured thanks to her guidance.

Highly recommend Lean Layer to anyone looking for a smart, reliable HubSpot integration partner.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is solving the challenge of building a scalable, unified CRM from the ground up. They are helping us design and implement a HubSpot setup that thoughtfully incorporates three distinct business divisions into one cohesive system. This has allowed us to streamline workflows, create clearer data visibility across teams, and ensure our CRM is structured in a way that can grow with the business rather than needing constant rework.

The best part has been working with Tara. She communicates clearly, responds quickly, and is always helpful when we run into issues.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are helping us simplify and organize our sales and analytics work. It’s cut down a lot of manual effort and made it much easier to see what’s going on and make decisions faster.

 ### 25. Great RevOps Team Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate B. | VP of Finance

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Kristen does a great job of thinking like a sales leader and has significant experience she can share regarding best practices.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Lean Layer is expensive. A half time resource is roughly the cost of our full-time salesforce admin.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We hired lean layer as a fractional RevOps resource, replacing a full-time salesforce admin. They have helped us with transactional support getting quotes out and deals closed, project work improving processes, and analysis of activity and results.

 ### 26. Exceptional Expertise and Proactive Support from Lean Layer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Lean Layer has hands-on knowledge of much of our tech stack and they are proactive in performing to a milestone plan to achieve post-implementation functionality. It is rare to work with a managed services / implementation team that can accomplish what they can do in the period of time and budget we have allocated. And I have worked with quite a few of them (some larger names) that don't begin to compare to Lean Layer.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Because of their smaller size, you need to plan ahead for available resources and it is a little more difficult to surge resources. However, the other side of this is that it forces you to be more focused on your milestones and the budget related to them. So overall, actually an upside.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

Our engagement manager is top notch and the founder was involved to a fair extent on the front end. As with most consultants, getting the right engagement manager is the key to success and I would interview them as you would a new Revenue Operations VP to ensure that they are up to the specific outcomes you require.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is helping us optimize our GTM tech stack post-implementation; including multiple Salesforce products, several marketing tech solutions and the integration of them.

 ### 27. Lean Layer is an excellent partner

**Reviewed by:** Mitch R.

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Lean Layer has done a wonderful job pinpointing our exact needs and executing the plans we have set forth. They are extremely approachable and easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

I have had no issues with Lean Layer and have nothing to complain about.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has stepped into our Salesforce Admin role while also adding key insights into our business. They are streamlining our reporting while also putting in place fixes when they pop up.

 ### 28. From complexity to clarity: Lean Layer helped us elevate our RevOps structure

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

What I like most about Lean Layer is their strong technical expertise and creativity. Our setup and use cases are quite complex, and they were able to find smart, creative solutions every time we hit a challenge. I was genuinely impressed by their deep HubSpot knowledge and how proactive they were in benchmarking best practices and advising us on the most efficient way to structure things.

They’re not just implementers, they really act as strategic partners who understand both the technical and business sides.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

At the beginning of the project, the project management structure felt a bit unclear, and I sometimes struggled to keep track of progress and next steps. Once we moved everything into Asana, it became much more organized and transparent to me.

I think it was mostly a matter of workflow preference, so I don't think it applies to everyone but for me, Asana was definitely better.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

Be very clear on your goals and processes before starting, and don’t hesitate to anticipate next steps, Lean Layer moves fast and takes action quickly, which is great, but it helps if you can stay one step ahead so they’re never blocked waiting for input or decisions.

Also, make sure to share full context about your setup and challenges. We have a different model, and the more we explained, the better their recommendations were. They really leveraged that information to come up with creative, tailored solutions.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is helping us optimize and structure our Hubspot setup to improve marketing and sales efficiency. Before working with them, it was difficult to have clear visibility on what marketing efforts were actually driving results. They’re helping us implement a full marketing attribution framework, clean and standardize our database, and define lifecycle stages and lead scoring models that make sense for our business.

They also handled our chatbot migration from Intercom to HubSpot, which streamlined our lead capture and improved alignment between marketing automation and sales workflows.

Overall, we’re gaining clarity, better data quality, and stronger collaboration between teams, which is helping us make much more informed decisions.

 ### 29. Super helpful team, very effective

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

Easy to work with, efficient, offer great solutions to help support our small team. They really understand our business needs and can work from very little direction. They are extremely knowledgeable about our CRM, HubSpot, and are full of quick and creative solutions. Pat from Lean Layer built up our entire lead scoring model from scratch, with valuable input on best practices and how to set us up to scale. His work and contributions to our growing Marketing functionality were huge for our business -- cannot recommend him and LL enough.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

That we can't clone our lean layer rep. Not a dislike, but I wish we had better understood the value they would bring and planned up front to sign them on for at least 12 months to take better advantage of their pricing model.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

I would encourage others to think bigger and further out when considering what projects Lean Layer can assist with. They are extremely collaborative and willing to explore a number of different types of projects. It would have benefited us to consider more broadly what we might need help with 6, 12, and 18 months out. Their pricing is very fair for the work they provide.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small marketing team and brought on Lean Layer to help with a number of foundational marketing operations functions. They have been incredibly helpful and an amazing problem solver. We initially onboarded LL to help with building out an MQL model as well as specific marketing and revenue dashboards. They not only helped us achieve our goals, but had really great suggestions for how to make the work we were already doing more efficient. We have since had a number of additional projects to add to their place (including building out a user portal for us).

They are extremely responsive, incredibly smart, very great partners. They were quickly able to understand our business and provide value very quickly. Great people - all incredibly nice and easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

There is nothing to call out here. They were an incredible partner.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

They are an incredibly impressive team! You will be highly impressed.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer is doing many different things for Three Link Solutions. For my team specifically - the recruiting team - Vinícius Unelo is working very closely with us. Vini has completely transitioned us to Hubspot as our primary ATS system. I have been incredibly impressed with Vini. This has been a massive effort to migrate this ATS system from Bullhorn to Hubspot, and Vini has managed this entire project incredibly well.

**Reviewed by:** Margot L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

What I like best about Lean Layer is their ability to take the ideas and needs I share, sometimes just loosely sketched out, and turn them into practical, effective solutions inside HubSpot. It feels like I can simply put my thoughts on paper, and they quickly transform them into something tangible that works seamlessly within the platform. That kind of skill and clarity makes the process incredibly smooth and stress-free.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Not having Phyllis on my team is a downside! Jokes aside, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure what else to mention. Even when something didn't work as expected, you were quick to respond and resolve the issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

Don’t overthink it, just take action, and your business will benefit in the long run. Aka "Just Do It".

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working with the team on our migration from Intercom to HubSpot has been an excellent experience. They have been consistently responsive, making sure that our questions and requests were always addressed quickly and thoroughly. The entire process felt organized and structured, which gave us confidence at every stage of the transition.

Communication was always smooth, the team made it easy to share updates, clarify details, and align expectations. A special mention goes to Phyllis, who has been an outstanding point of contact. She not only guided us with professionalism and patience but also went above and beyond to ensure everything stayed on track. Her support has been invaluable, and we truly believe she deserves recognition, and a raise!

Overall, this has been a great experience, and we’re very grateful for the team’s hard work and commitment.

**Reviewed by:** Fred W. | Vice President of Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

A lot of agencies I have worked with are not very performance focussed and fall short when it comes to thinking of innovative ideas. Lean Layer are full of ideas and also are super responsive when it comes to feedback. They are genuinely interested in helping us improve our outbound process, generating new pipeline and winning new business.

Particular mention for Guilherme Larroyd who is a credit to the LL team as well as Daniel, Brooke and Tyler.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing of note at this point, we have had a positive experience

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Leanlayer have helped us with a complete re-organization of Hubspot as well as helping build an intelligent outbound system for our sales team. Through this project we have gone from not trusting our Hubspot at all to having intelligent data on where each company is up to in the lifecycle as well as how we are targeting companies and prospects from our ICP with an intelligent sequence based outbound process involving Orum and Apollo.

What stands out is their ability to act as a true consultative partner, helping us understand the technology, see what’s possible, and chart opportunities that support long-term scale and growth.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

There was an upfront learning curve as we worked to get aligned and kick off the first projects, but once we found our rhythm, things progressed really well.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has been an exceptional partner in helping us modernize, streamline, and elevate our technology stack. Their guidance has pushed us to the next level—driving clarity, efficiency, and real transformation across our operations.

 ### 42. LeanLayer: The RevOps Partner We Didn’t Know We Needed

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

What stands out most is LeanLayer’s ability to quickly diagnose our pain points and present practical, tested solutions with clear explanations and resources beyond just surface level implementation. Their team communicates clearly and keeps us updated at every stage. They’re not just executing tasks we feel like they’re genuinely invested in our success, acting as strategic partners rather than just consultants. Al and Gui have been some of the best partners we've worked with and have set the standard for what strategic partnerships and communication looks like.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Only thing I dislike is that it costs money :)

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

We’ve seen measurable improvements in our pipeline health and sales productivity. Our team is spending less time troubleshooting systems and more time selling. We now have dashboards and reports that actually reflect the metrics we care about, and it’s easier to identify bottlenecks or opportunities in our sales process and truly go after ICP fits and create actionable insights and strategies to get more sales done.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LeanLayer has helped us untangle several complex RevOps challenges, especially around sales process optimization and CRM architecture. As a small RevOps team we needed to build and architect our systems to give the Sales/Marketing teams exactly what they need, and it was difficult to get actionable data out of our systems in it's current state. LeanLayer stepped in and implemented scalable processes, cleaned up our lead and account data, and rebuilt critical automation. The result has been clearer reporting, better forecasting, and more time for our team to focus on growth instead of admin work.

 ### 43. Exceptionally Reliable and Solutions-Oriented

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

What I like best about Lean Layer is their reliability and ownership. They consistently deliver on time, fully own the projects they take on, and make thoughtful, well-informed decisions without needing constant direction. What really stands out is their ability to anticipate how our business would want to execute—it's clear they take the time to understand our goals and priorities. They feel less like an external partner and more like an extension of our team.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

If I had to pick something, it's that Lean Layer moves so quickly that we occasionally need to pause and align internally to keep up. It's a good problem to have, but it does require us to stay sharp on our side to match their pace and level of ownership.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

If you’re looking for a partner who can operate with minimal oversight, take full ownership of complex projects, and truly understand your business needs — Lean Layer is it. They’re not just executors; they’re thoughtful collaborators who anticipate challenges, adapt quickly, and consistently deliver high-quality work. I’d highly recommend them to any team needing extra horsepower in systems, process design, or operational support.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has been an incredibly valuable partner in helping us stand up system-specific compensation requirements. Beyond that, they’ve played a key role in supporting major process changes—working across multiple stakeholder groups with limited direction while still ensuring timely, accurate delivery. Their team brings deep systems expertise, particularly in Salesforce (SFDC), where they’ve acted as an extension of our internal resources by implementing new workflows, automations, and other enhancements. Their ability to navigate complexity and drive end-to-end execution has made a clear, measurable impact.

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

They don’t just say “yes” — they challenge our thinking in a constructive way and design solutions that are truly in the best interest of our business. Michael brings exceptional leadership and organizational knowledge, all the while his team contributes deep expertise and clarity that resonates across every level of our company. Together, they’ve delivered real impact and operated like an extension of our team.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Honestly, very little. If anything, the bar they’ve set for consultative engagement is so high that it makes me wish we could apply their approach even more broadly. The challenge is less about Lean Layer and more about how to maximize the benefit of their involvement across every part of our business.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

They dove in quickly to our many challenges and haven't let off the gas.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer has truly transformed how we handle our Rev Ops. They started by cleaning up our CRM data, which has made a huge difference in keeping everything accurate and reliable. Their work on building detailed reports has also given our team a clear view of performance trends, making decision-making a lot more straightforward.

On top of that, Lean Layer built some smart account and contact scoring models that have really sharpened our targeting and engagement efforts. They even set up essential automation functions that cut down on manual work and boosted our overall efficiency.

In short, Lean Layer’s hands-on, expert approach didn’t just solve our data and automation challenges—it paved the way for smarter, more streamlined operations. Their contributions have brought much-needed clarity and strategic insight to our business, and I couldn’t be happier with the impact they’ve made.

 ### 47. Very helpful in cleaning up our Hubspot account!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

The team at Lean Layer is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to help. They bring a deep understanding of marketing operations and tools like HubSpot, and they take the time to explain their approach clearly. Their support has been very helpful in guiding us to make smarter, more strategic marketing decisions.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Nothing, they have been very easy to work with and I would definitely recommend them to a friend!

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lean Layer helped us clean up our HubSpot database, improving the overall quality of our marketing contacts. By refining our lists and removing outdated or irrelevant entries, they enabled us to focus on high-value prospects, which in turn lowered our costs and increased the efficiency of our campaigns. They also built targeted segments that made it easier to tailor and optimize our email sends. Lauren and Sydney were both so lovely to work with, they are always readily available to answer any questions that come up in a very timely manner!

 ### 48. VP, Sales

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

After about a month of stressing over closing our FY25 Phyllis Lee & LL team found a clear path to hitting our FY25 goals. If we maintain our historic win rate with Stage 1 & 2 opps - we have enough pipeline to not only hit the quarter goals but the year goal is within our current pipeline. The only change we need to make is improving time between stage - that insight led us to inspect that aspect of our deal desk - and now we have line of site for not only the quarter but all of FY25.

Data and dashboards are nice. Making it tell a clear and actionable story that leads to wins is what I enjoy about working with the LL team.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

They make you pay for their services. I do not like that part of it.

**Recommendations to others considering Lean Layer:**

If you are looking for ways to create efficiency and repeatability leveraging data - I can not recommend LL enough.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to make decisions based on our data to drive our business forward.

 ### 49. Great work experience working with Phyllis

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

I really like how Phyllis collaborates with our team — she’s proactive, communicative, and always thinking ahead. She doesn’t just execute tasks; she helps us improve our overall Salesforce processes.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

Honestly, there’s not much to dislike. At times, communication or availability can be slightly impacted when resources are stretched across multiple projects, but the team — especially Phyllis — has always been quick to adjust and stay responsive and got things done.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phllis from Lean Layer became an invaluable resource for us when our Salesforce team was short-staffed. She actively contributed to our sprint planning and provided hands-on support across multiple areas of Salesforce — including consolidating PS Opportunities, setting up opportunity automations, and assisting with ARR calculations. Her proactive approach and technical expertise made a significant impact on our team's success.

 ### 50. Expert Guidance and Valuable Best Practices

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Lean Layer?**

They have a ton of experience and can provide best practices since they've worked with so many different clients. That's very valuable knowledge to have on tap.

**What do you dislike about Lean Layer?**

No dislikes - maybe having a bit more visibility into how many hours were spent on what project from a cost management perspective, but they always deliver.

**What problems is Lean Layer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don't have an in-house Rev Ops team so they are doing much of the Rev Ops work for us. They helped us organize our CRM, build a lead scoring engine, and build other custom reports.
