We end up with double postings at times. And the Clio integration made that worse. We no longer use LawPay thru Clio because of the way it posts autopay and will not post until the next day to the client account - which also made more double postings. **What problems is 8am LawPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy payment option for our clients, and it makes less work for me when I can print reports and see what is happening. ### 6. I love the integration with TABS and the schedule feature. It's also very easy to search transactions, send receipts, and schedule recurring payments. **What do you dislike about 8am LawPay?** Would like the ability to send texts through LawPay. Also, with the integration with TABS, every time I manually enter credit card payments, which I do weekly, it asks me if I'm sure I don't want to do it through LawPay and there is no way to click "do not show again". That dialog box is very annoying because I KNOW what I'm doing. Please let that pop-up be permanently dismissed. Also, when our clients use the link to pay through our bills, it automatically fills to their total balance and clients have had a lot of trouble knowing they can click to edit the balance they want to pay (sometimes they have money in trust so they only need to make a partial payment). I do think there needs to be some prompt or it needs to be more obvious that they need to click on the box to adjust the amount. The fact that it can accept a wide variety of cards, as well as e-checks direct from bank accounts as well as hosting an online portal for my firm is over the top. As a bonus I enjoy the graphical breakdowns and that it tracks who is entering the payments, from individual staff members to individual clients or auto-ay. Refunds are a breeze as well. **What do you dislike about 8am LawPay?** Too many spam emails for other products. **What problems is 8am LawPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Payments come faster from clients and are easily tracked and associated with individuals. We have certainly been able to bring on clients we would have never captured before had it not been for the ease of credit card processing, rather than getting a loan, etc. Their payment portal is simple to use and offers basically risk-free credit processing. I can give my clients a link directly or have them go through my website to make a payment. All of the backend headaches of sorting/moving funds are automatically taken care of. **What do you dislike about 8am LawPay?** Ongoing fees to keep the service running even though we have long gaps between clients actually using the service. We pay a monthly fee just to keep the membership going, but it can be months before the next client uses the platform. Their portal page could do with a little more customization too. I would like some embedded features in order to directly place the payment portal on my own site, but they may be restricted by IOLTA or ABA regulations. **Recommendations to others considering 8am LawPay:** There are others on the market but LawPay was the first to market. They have had their hand in the industry long enough to prove themselves in compliance with IOLTA accounting. LawPay is extremely simple to set up. **What problems is 8am LawPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Not many people have thousands of dollars liquid to pay criminal representation fees, and that's understandable. This allows us to open up a source of revenue for those willing to pay by credit, and in return, we can guarantee our full payment upfront. ### 29. I especially appreciate the recent addition of eChecks as not everyone wants to use a credit card, but most everyone has a bank account. **What do you dislike about 8am LawPay?** If I could change one thing in LawPay, it would be to bring eCheck integration to Clio so that clients could pay by eCheck, and the transaction would automatically apply to their bill.
