Solid list! I’ve used a few of these, and they're fantastic all-in-one systems, especially if you want to keep your HR tech stack minimal.

However, based on my experience, if your main focus is specifically deep absence management (especially if you have complex carry-over rules, staff in multiple countries, or need to track things like TOIL and sickness triggers closely), the built-in modules in generalist HRIS platforms can feel a bit light.

I’d highly recommend checking out edays as well. It’s a specialist platform (not just a generalist suite), so it tends to handle the messy logic of leave management (global public holiday calendars, part-time accruals, and return-to-work forms) much better than the 'add-on' modules in bigger systems.

The best part is that it integrates with payroll systems, so you can keep your core HRIS for the broad stuff but use edays to handle the complex leave requirements.
