We were completely flabbergasted this year when after 6 years of using Huddle from Ideagen, we tried to cancel our agreement NINETY DAYS early before it ended and were told that we have to cancel our agreement more than ninety days prior to it ending. Never in my life have I heard of such a thing. And looking back at our original agreement, the terms are conveniently not written in the agreement and instead you have to click to a webpage where it lists the agreement terms. However, that webpage gives a 404 error code. They have fought us tooth and nails on cancelling which is incredibly wild after the loyal years we've spent with them and have always paid our bills on time. We have legitimate complaints with their Huddle portal and the number of glitches and issues we have had using it over the last two years especially. Their customer support has been horrible and we have continued having issues that highly impact our clients who we use the platform with. We work within a consortium that brings together a wide range of stakeholders from different companies and institutions. Because of that, the Ideagen Collaboration Portal workspace has proven to be a very useful platform for working together—whether that means sharing documents, planning projects, or collaborating online. We’ve been using it for years. It is very easy to use and easy to implement in any project. The downside is that some people we collaborate with are tired of having to use new platforms all the time for their different projects, and therefore insist on using email and continue sharing documents via email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That everything is integrated for team members in the latest current versions and that documentation can be worked on directly there to be stored. Additionally, you can notify other members that a file is ready for review or, if needed, contact the project manager directly to request any missing document or information. That when a document is updated, it is not updated in all the Workspaces where it is located, makes it difficult to have control over the latest versions of documentation and templates used for tracking and carrying out projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Editing in the browser does not show the correct formatting, I cannot "edit & lock" excel files - they do not actually save, the Huddle app has not been updated for Mac (and I've been given no timeline on when this will happen), clients have complained about how the Huddle app takes up an excessive amount of space and makes their computers run much slower, being able to edit the preview of a PDF is misleading because it is not true editing and does not save. I’ve been using Ideagen Huddle for managing system integrations and working with different teams, and overall, it’s a great tool for keeping everything organised.

It’s great having everything in one place online — me and my team can all work on docs, training plans, and project bits without stepping on each other’s toes.

The version control is spot on. You can see who’s changed what, which keeps things nice and transparent.

The workflow tools make sorting reviews and approvals a bit easier, so nothing slips through the cracks.
