**What do you like best about HRLocker?**

What I like best about HRLocker is how it simplifies and centralises key HR processes in a very practical way. The digital signing functionality is particularly valuable, as it allows us to confidently ensure that all employees have received, read and acknowledged important documents such as the employee handbook, without any manual follow-up.

The integration with HireHive is also excellent. It makes managing recruitment far more efficient, especially when dealing with a high volume of applicants. It is easy to collaborate with colleagues, move candidates through each stage of the process, and once a hire is made, transitioning them into HRLocker for onboarding is seamless. Overall, it saves significant administrative time and improves visibility across the entire recruitment and HR lifecycle.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

One area where HRLocker could be improved is in the flexibility of its annual leave management. More advanced options, such as automated long service leave increments, easier bulk upload of carryover balances, and clearer handling of days in lieu, would make it more suitable for organisations with more complex policies.

The Reviews module is another area that could be enhanced. At present, the structure and workflow do not fully align with how we manage performance and development internally, so we have not been able to adopt it. Greater flexibility in configuring review cycles, formats, and approval flows would make this feature more useful.

**What problems is HRLocker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HRLocker helps us manage the increasing administrative burden that comes with a growing team, particularly as we do not have a dedicated HR resource. It centralises key information such as employee records, absence tracking, training records and HR documents, which significantly reduces manual work and reliance on spreadsheets or email.

This has improved organisation, visibility and consistency across the business, while also reducing the risk of things being missed. It allows managers to self-serve for many tasks, which saves time and keeps processes moving efficiently. Overall, it enables us to scale our people processes in a structured way without needing to proportionally increase administrative overhead.

**What do you like best about HRLocker?**

It’s very clear and easy to operate, and creating a new employee profile is extremely simple.
It's very reliable, always work, it doesn't log you out, no errors.
People can check themselves when someone else is on annual leave, they can book their own holidays.
I think it should be bit cheaper and that you should be able to pick 1 or 2 employess instead of paying for 3 as we are a small company.
We connected payroll to it and it works perfectly fine.
Customer support is great, they reply fairly quickly.
We didnt use AI help yet so I cant say anything about it.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

It’s frustrating that you can’t add a second management-level user who receives the same emails as the main user—for example, notifications when training expires or when other important changes occur.

**What problems is HRLocker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for booking holidays for employees, managing sick leave, and keeping all certificates and contracts in one place. It’s convenient because I can check everything even when I’m not in the office.

The automated compliance tracking is an absolute lifesaver for us. In sustainable fashion, maintaining up-to-date right-to-work documents and ethical training certifications is non-negotiable. HRLocker’s proactive alerts mean we never miss an expiration, keeping us audit-ready without the usual administrative panic. I’m also a huge fan of the centralized employee portal. It empowers our team to handle their own time-off requests and access policies independently, which perfectly reinforces the transparent, equitable culture we’re actively building at EcoWear London.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

While it excels at general HR, it misses some niche needs specific to the apparel sector. I’d love native modules for tracking ethical sourcing training or supply chain audit certifications. Additionally, as ESG reporting becomes critical for sustainability goals, having built-in tools to track these metrics would be fantastic. Finally, offering more customizable survey templates focused on workplace equity and well-being would help mission-driven organizations better gauge employee sentiment.

HRLocker completely eliminates the chaos of managing compliance across a growing team. By centralizing documentation and automating expiration alerts, it drastically reduces manual admin work and mitigates legal risks. **What do you like best about HRLocker?**

What I like most about HRLocker is how much time it saves across everyday HR tasks. The system is very easy to navigate and it helps streamline processes like annual leave, onboarding, document management, and attendance tracking. It has improved efficiency across the business and makes communication between HR, managers, and employees much smoother.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

There’s very little to dislike about HRLocker overall. One improvement I think would be useful is having more flexibility around attendance tracking for hybrid working, such as allowing employees to indicate whether they are working remotely or onsite when clocking in.

**What problems is HRLocker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HRLocker helps solve a lot of the manual admin work involved in HR processes by centralising everything in one system. It has made managing employee records, leave requests, onboarding, and payroll related administration much more efficient and organised. The digital document and e signing features are especially beneficial as they speed up processes, reduce paperwork, and make it much easier to keep records secure and accessible.

**What do you like best about HRLocker?**

All employee info is in one place. The platform can be used by all employees and admins.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

Difficult to navigate. Admins have to ask to have certian key features activated, and don't even know about there availability until asked for - eg chat bot! 
Documentation storage and filing is woeful.  There is no ability to put documents in folders, in date order etc.
Employee records are awkward to work in.  It is not clear where documentation or information could or should be found.
Pricing is okayish, but could be more competitive given the limitations of the software.
Support is okay, onboarding when we joined was not ideal, that may have changed.  
I haven't used AI in HRLocker apart from the chat bot. I am not aware of it as a facility to support HR
Noticeboard is very limited and uninviting.
As an admin when you are working in tabs regarding an employee and you change tabs it always refers back to your own record - this is highly frustrating!
There is no facility for allocating inventory items to an employee.  This would be a valuable addition to the software.
Integrations are listed.  What is integrated with HRLocker?  Why am I not informed?  Do I have to go looking everytime and waste my time.  Just list what is integrated somewhere.
Performance - generally site loads up okay.

**What problems is HRLocker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage some timesheets through the platform.  Client salary and records are kept in HRLocker but because of its documentation limitations, we are forced to also maintain records elsewhere.

**What do you like best about HRLocker?**

I really like the centralised database that HRLocker provides, allowing us to save all HR documentation in one place. The system records annual leave, time attendance, and all HR documents and messages, which is very convenient. Employees can view their annual leave accrued and book time off without needing to contact HR, giving them more control and freeing up HR's time. I find it very user-friendly and appreciate that it requires minimal training. Additionally, HRLocker allows employees and HR to access information 24/7, providing flexibility and autonomy. Setting up the system was very easy, thanks to the great support from HRLocker.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

It would help if company resources i.e. staff, vehicles and equipment could be allocated to one or more jobs per day. Then print a daily job diary to send crew to show what jobs they have been assigned to. They should not be available to select if they have booked time off. Also to allocate an hourly rate against each of them, allowing you calculate a job cost.

**What problems is HRLocker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HRLocker centralizes all our HR files, documents, and time attendance. It allows employees to access their files anytime, freeing HR from handling requests. It records annual leave, sending documentation, and tracking training, making it user-friendly with little needed training.

**What do you like best about HRLocker?**

What I like best about HRLocker is how user friendly and practical it is for day to day HR operations. It takes a lot of the admin burden out of processes like leave management, onboarding, document tracking, and time and attendance, which makes things much more efficient for both HR and managers.

I also find the self service aspect really beneficial because employees can access their own documents, request leave, and update information easily without constantly needing HR involvement. From an HR perspective, it helps keep processes organised, improves compliance, and gives better visibility across the business.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

There’s not much I dislike about HRLocker overall, but one feature I’d like to see added is the ability for employees to select whether they are working from home or in the office when clocking in and out. I think this would be really useful for tracking hybrid working arrangements and improving visibility for managers and HR.

**What problems is HRLocker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HRLocker solves a lot of the administrative and organisational challenges that come with managing HR processes. For me, it has made payroll preparation much easier by improving visibility of attendance, leave, and employee information all in one place.

The e signing feature is also a huge benefit as it makes issuing and returning documents much quicker and more efficient, while reducing paperwork and helping keep everything organised digitally.

The directory part of HR Locker is very handy for getting employee emails and numbers - everything is in the one place. Requesting Time off is also straight foward and easy.

There isnt anything ive come across while using HR Locker to make me dislike - its a very easy and straightforward website to navigate.

It has helped in knowing where staff is in terms off whos on annual leave, other leave or out sick. before HR locker you would have to phone around to find out this information. Now everything is in the one space.

**What do you like best about HRLocker?**

I use HRLocker for clocking in and out, submitting, and approving timesheets. It's really helpful for tracking overtime, managing time-off entitlements, and handling annual leave requests. I love the 'Who's Off' tab because it allows employees to see who has already booked leave, helping us avoid scheduling conflicts and ensuring staff who buddy up don't take leave at the same time. It's user-friendly and was easy to integrate with our systems. Overall, it simplifies keeping track of clock cards, knowing when employees are scheduled to take leave, and monitoring things like sick days, annual leave, and other types of leave.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

It would be great if we could add additional features to it such as return to work forms after sick leave.

I use HRLocker for clocking in, approving timesheets, and managing leave. It helps track leave entitlements and types, and the 'Who's Off' tab prevents scheduling conflicts.

**What do you like best about HRLocker?**

I love so much about HRLocker. Its efficiency is fantastic and it's very user-friendly. I frequently use the reporting features to run various types of reports like weekly payroll reports and holiday reports, which is incredibly helpful. I love that when an employee is leaving and I push their last working date, it automatically calculates how much leave they have left. There's just so much I appreciate—it's a wonderful system. The setup was very easy, and the support was excellent, particularly from Shah, who did training with us, and Liz, our account manager, has been extremely helpful and efficient. Overall, it's a fantastic system and handles everything we need efficiently.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

The most annoying part for me, because I'm the administrator and I have access to every part of it, is that when I'm going to, you know, go into somebody's profile to see their time off, it automatically defaults back to me constantly. I find that a little bit annoying. Even if I'm in their directory and then I kinda go over to their name, it defaults to me all the time. The managers have the same issue. If they have five staff, it defaults to themselves before it goes back to their staff. I wish it would hold and stay on that staff member.

**What problems is HRLocker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use HRLocker to streamline employee time tracking and payroll reporting for our 280 employees. It's a quick system that makes life efficient from both HR and managerial perspectives, allowing fast access to necessary data and seamless absence reporting.

**What do you like best about HRLocker?**

It’s very user-friendly and intuitive to use. The time-on and time-off features are straightforward and easy to understand. It also helps us manage a wide range of contract types and different working patterns, which makes balancing everything much simpler.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

Occasionally, we find that we have to create workarounds for things that should be fairly basic requirements in an HR system, such as maintaining a clear history of positions and employment dates. We also come across bugs from time to time, which create additional problems and take time for us to identify, investigate, and review all the implications.

**What problems is HRLocker solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The time savings have been huge. The reports are very straightforward and let us quickly report on items that used to be manual and previously took a huge amount of time and effort. It also provides greater visibility for HR staff. We can electronically record and file documents, which reduces the need for paper, including employee files and performance reviews.

**What do you like best about HRLocker?**

I like the directory where we can store all the users' information. I appreciate that HRLocker has the reviews all in one place, and I can choose an employee to look at and review what they've said. Also, once it's been completed, you can't go back and make amendments, which prevents any fraudulent activity by staff members. I also like the way that the certification gives a report in if there's certification due for renewal, making it a lot easier instead of relying on manual reminders.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

The downfall is, so, unfortunately, within HR, there are more than just your standard reviews and also your return to work document. It could be additional documentation that I need to store in there, like maybe disciplinary letters that I've sent out to individuals. I want a file it would be really useful to have, like, a file storage documentation section that has to have separate folders that you could upload documentation, which then treats it as actual full employee's storage area. Because if I'm not in work, I'm it's stored in a staff file on my device. Then another manager won't be able to pick that up. Whereas if you're stored on that, it'd make it a lot more easier to pick up.

We use HRLocker for quarterly reviews and sickness absences documentation, transitioning from manual to electronic documentation. It streamlines processes with templates and centralizes certifications, reducing paper issues. I like storing user information and preventing post-completion amendments, avoiding fraudulent activity.

**What do you like best about HRLocker?**

I really appreciate HRLocker for being a user-friendly system, especially for leave management. Before, we had to manage leave over emails, which made it difficult to track and maintain balances. Now, HRLocker simplifies this by having all the necessary data in one location, making it easier for managers to make decisions around leave. The notifications are very useful, particularly for compliance reasons, as they keep reminding us when an HR document needs a signature, adding accountability. It also provides updates to employees about the stages of their applications. The initial setup was quite easy, thanks to the help of the onboarding team.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

The system could be a lot more intuitive. It's quite annoying how the FTE field doesn't prompt the other fields, making it very manual. For example, if somebody is reducing hours, I have to update several screens like comp and balance, working hours, and more. Also, as our company has grown, the system has become a little more limited in what it could do for us. Similiarly change in managers requires a lot of manual updates. There should be a bulk Our payroll team would prefer better integration because they have to pull multiple reports to find the same data for payroll processing.

Booking Time Off can be a bit clunky especially from an approval side. Would be great if you could approve, deny and edit straight from the calendar view. Also would be great if you could edit booking requests rather than deleting and reapplying.

I love how HRLocker is very user-friendly and allows me to add basically all the info I need. It's great for keeping track of annual leave requests, approvals, dates taken, and days left, giving both HR and employees control and autonomy over their leave. The customer service is also very good, and they usually respond quickly to any questions. I enjoy the webinars they organize with relevant topics for HR and attend most of those. I find Hire Hive part quite beneficial as it posts jobs on multiple platforms and keeps all applications in one portal, making it a very user-friendly tool for recruitment.

Would love to have an area where we could store documentation regarding an employee but that would only be visible to HR, such as file notes, disciplinaries etc.

I like the ease of use and implementation with HRLocker, especially when adding new people and making changes. The customer service and response time are fantastic. It has made things easier and quicker, transitioning from Excel spreadsheets to a more streamlined process and keeping everything in one place, which helps managers and team members easily check who's on or off and when. The initial setup of HRLocker was very easy and very quick. Even though I had used it before, its quick implementation was impressive.

I think the only one I can think of is the ability to update the annual leave entitlements in advance. Our staff get annual leave increments based on length of service. So when somebody starts, if I could update that or put that in as soon as they start, it would save me having to have an annual review each year of doing those updates and changes.

I don't like the timesheets. It's like you have to update them all the time, so we don't use it. I sometimes find the review tool hard. I think some areas have a lot of steps to do simple things.

I like that HRLocker is well organized and intuitive, making it easier to track the employee lifecycle without making the job time-consuming. Visually, it's very good, and I appreciate how the layout of the site is organized. The customer experience with HRLocker is well designed.

In the reports, it could have more self-made charts for leaves with more information. To select a report sometimes is disappointing as the dates reset themselves after any click. Once I added a date for the report to be pulled, I would like those dates to stay and don't reset because I always check other employees for the same period. It increases the time I spend by pulling separate reports for different teams or employees.

I find HRLocker very helpful for my small nonprofit in Ireland, especially with uploading policy documents and staff handbooks. It's also great for managing annual leave and quickly producing reports for audits. I think it's good how you can personalize the profiles, making them as complex or simple as needed, depending on our needs. The interface is very user-friendly, and it's easy to onboard new staff. I also find HRLocker much more reasonable in terms of pricing compared to Bright HR, and the integration within our team has been smooth without any issues. Both personnel section and HireHive are easy to navigate and cover the basic requirements in these areas.

**What do you dislike about HRLocker?**

We rely on timesheets, if employees dont submit or managers miss a timesheet, we then submit and accept in bulk.   When we then run a report, some employees come up as a deficit and their timesheets have not been picked up in the final report, therefore, I need to go back submit and approve those timesheets manually.  This has been highlighted to HR Locker but hasnt been resolved.   We also used to have an account manager, since the merge, noone has been in touch with us, therefore, we feel communication and customer service has decreased.  Also, we find the system does not have much flexibility for our needs.

It has solved basic issues but some have been left unresolved i.e. Timesheets and notification of training requests required but there are not.

I like the nice dashboard in HRLocker where you can easily switch between staff members to see requests and allocations of annual leave. I appreciate that the interface is simple to navigate, having only a key few headers and being able to switch between dashboard views easily.

It's not easy to log TOIL, and any changes in logs cannot be amended - even by the administrator - you have to contact the HRLocker team. The initial setup wasn't that easy, there was a bit of a learning curve in setting up reporting and approvals, plus we had lots of issues with logging time off in lieu and have since decided not to log it through HRLocker.

The reporting function is very limited, would be better to be able to choose your criteria/fields when running a report.  Also the clock in/out function can be accessed from mobiles meaning staff could clock in when not actually in the office which is causes problems

I don't like that you only see 1 calendar week of clock ins. I would like to see the whole year overview without running a report or one month, Instead of seeing one week at a time.

The CPD section feels a bit too open for staff to use, as there’s no approval process for courses being added. Also, some reports, for example in the review section, don’t provide meaningful data on completions, overdue items, or what hasn’t been scheduled. Instead, they only give a line-by-line breakdown of each review that’s been submitted.
