## Gem Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI

Is Gem free, or does it offer a free trial?

Gem does not offer a permanent free plan, but it does provide a free trial that lets users to test the product before committing to a paid plan. Trial availability and duration may vary, so users should review the seller's official pricing page for the most current details.

How much does Gem cost in 2026?

According to G2 data, Gem pricing in 2026 starts at $135.00 and can reach $225.00 depending on the selected plan. Pricing may vary based on billing terms or usage, so users should review the Gem's official pricing page for the most current details.

Who is Gem pricing best suited for?

According to G2 reviewers, Gem's pricing is best suited for mid-market companies between 51 and 1,000 employees and enterprise recruiting teams that rely heavily on sourcing automation, candidate outreach sequencing, and pipeline analytics. G2 reviews from staffing and recruiting, information technology, computer software, and financial services industries reflect the strongest adoption. The Self-Service tier suits early-stage startups under 30 FTEs, especially given the six-month free period and first-year discount. Small businesses with tight budgets occasionally find Gem's pricing high relative to alternatives. Enterprise users consistently report strong ROI through time savings and consolidated tooling, making Gem's higher tiers most compelling for scaling talent acquisition teams.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Gem?

Gem does not offer a permanent free tier, but G2's pricing data for Gem confirms a free trial is available, including a 7-day trial for the Staffing Agencies plan. Gem's paid plans begin at $99 per user per month for staffing firms and $135 per month for companies up to 30 FTEs. Higher Gem tiers unlock advanced capabilities including unlimited AI sourcing, advanced scheduling, talent marketing, enterprise SSO, local data retention, and ATS connectors for systems like Greenhouse and Workday. G2 reviewers note that certain AI features and deeper analytics require upgrades or optional add-ons, with one reviewer specifically flagging that advanced dashboard analytics required an additional $5,000 investment.

Is Gem considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers broadly consider Gem a premium but worthwhile investment, particularly for mid-market and enterprise recruiting teams. The platform earns consistently high ratings, with users frequently praising its sourcing automation, sequencing, analytics dashboards, and ATS integrations as genuine time-savers. However, pricing concerns surface repeatedly across G2 reviews, especially from small businesses and staffing agencies, with several reviewers noting that competitors offer similar functionality at lower cost. G2 users in enterprise roles tend to justify the expense through measurable efficiency gains, while smaller teams occasionally flag the cost as a barrier. One reviewer noted the pricing only makes sense for mid-size to larger organizations, reinforcing that value scales with team size.

"Streamlined platform that simplifies recruiting workflows"

5/5

What do you like best about Gem?

Gem stands out for its ability to bring together outreach, tracking, and pipeline management into one seamless platform. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to use even for someone new to recruiting tools. I particularly appreciate the analytics and reporting features — they give clear visibility into outreach performance and help identify what’s working and what needs adjustment. The integrations with LinkedIn and email are smooth and save a lot of manual work. Overall, Gem reduces time spent on repetitive tasks and makes candidate engagement more structured and data-driven. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gem?

While Gem has been very helpful overall, there are areas where it could improve. The reporting dashboards, while detailed, can feel overwhelming at times and require some trial and error to fully utilize. Customization options for email templates are somewhat limited, and expanding them would allow for even more personalized outreach. Additionally, the mobile experience is not as strong as the desktop platform, which can make it harder to stay productive on the go. Finally, the pricing may be a bit high for smaller teams, which could limit accessibility for organizations that would benefit from the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?

Gem has helped streamline the recruiting process by centralizing outreach, tracking, and candidate relationship management into one platform. It reduces the manual effort involved in sending and monitoring candidate emails, freeing up more time to focus on meaningful conversations. The analytics tools make it easy to track pipeline progress, measure team efficiency, and identify areas where diversity recruiting can be improved. Integrations with LinkedIn and email systems also eliminate duplicate work, helping maintain accuracy and consistency across candidate interactions. As a result, our recruiting process has become faster, more transparent, and more data-driven. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Product Potential - Implementation and Customer Success Fell Short"

1/5

What do you like best about Gem?

Gem has strong potential as a recruiting CRM and sourcing platform. The interface is intuitive, and the automation capabilities are promising. Unfortunately, we have not been able to realize that value because the implementation and customer success experience fell well short of what was promised during our renewal process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gem?

We renewed our subscription after being assured we would receive a fresh implementation experience and dedicated Customer Success support. Instead, multiple requests for assistance went unanswered beyond automated responses, and ownership of our account was lacking. When we raised concerns, we were redirected to generic support resources rather than receiving the partnership that was promised. As a growing organization, we value vendors that follow through on their commitments. The product has potential, but the gap between the sales experience and post-sale support makes it difficult to recommend at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gem solving and how is that benefiting you?

We purchased Gem expecting an AI-enabled recruiting platform, but our experience has been that it's largely a CRM with light automation. The AI capabilities have not been compelling or materially improved our recruiting process. Without the implementation and partnership we were promised, the platform has provided little measurable value to our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hi Anthony, thank you for your feedback.

We appreciate you holding us to a high standard regarding the post-renewal onboarding experience.

I see that you've recently been connected with the right leadership team here at Gem, and we are going to fix it. We are actively mapping out a plan to close the support gaps you mentioned and ensure your team has the dedicated partnership they deserve.

Thank you for working with us to make this right!
