In particular, the tools and timelines were confusing to navigate. I’m not very familiar with Slack, so having to jump between platforms and keep track of what was happening where (and when) became distracting. It ended up pulling my attention away from the actual learning. For me, an optional best-practices guide for the tools would’ve been a game-changer. Something simple like: “here’s how to set up notifications,” “here’s where you’ll find the key information,” and “here’s the timeline for modules and check-ins.” Nothing fancy, just enough to help me get oriented from the start.
