**What do you like best about Domo?**

Domo is world-class as controlling your data. From bringing data into the tool, transforming it, creating cards (pivot tables/pivot charts), and sharing those cards with executives and business partners, Domo makes this intuitive and quick. The implementation of Domo is easy and you can continue to add more datasets over time. Integrating our datasets is simple enough as they work with RedShift and PostgreSQL. This ease keeps me in Domo every day, and somedays I find myself in Domo more than Excel.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

Domo has continued to innovate and create new features that puts in parity with competing products like Tableau. I don't have any dislikes about the product.

**What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our executives and business partners expect up-to-date data when making decisions. Without Domo, we would be making manual updates in Excel or Google sheets, which is not scalable with the number of datasets Domo updates for us each day. Also, many of our datasets have millions of rows, which already makes it able to do things I wouldn't be able to do otherwise.

**What do you like best about Domo?**

Domo offers a modern and intuitive interface that is user-friendly even for those with limited technical expertise. The drag-and-drop functionality within the magic ETL makes it easy to create dashboards and visualizations without extensive training. There are a multitude of connectors to various other applications allowing you to easily bring in data from a CRM and other sources such as Meta Ads, Google Sheets etc. It is incredibly easy and intuitive to build highly customizable dashboards from the data and the UI for these dashboards is great. The best value add from Domo is its seamless aggregation of data from disparate sources into a single view as well as its interactivity allowing dashboard users to filter and drill down into cards.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

While Domo is very user-friendly, some of its more advanced features and functionalities can require additional training and experience which presents a steep learning curve, particularly for users who are unfamiliar with data analytics tools. Although, Domo offers customization, the visualization options and pre-built templates are quite limiting.

**What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domo has allowed me to easily aggregate data from various sources into a single dataset as well as apply additional formulas and calculations to create additional views from data that would not previously have been connected. This is crucial for accurate and timely analysis, allowing stakeholders utilizing dashboards to view and digest a total view of data and performance.

**What do you like best about Domo?**

Everything is cloud-based so it is easy to streamline the creation of dataflows and dashboards across team members. The fairly new ability to nest calculations is a bonus for clean data manipulation.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

Domo has a couple of glitches that are a bit inconvenient. Firstly, editing text boxes on a dashboard can force you to reload the page a few times so that the input text saves instead of blanking the textbox. Second, if you spend too much time editing a card without saving periodically the card will not allow you to save. The second glitch is a large inconvenience, especially when multiple calculations have been created on the card edit page.

**What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domo makes it easy to collaborate across different devices and teams due to its cloud-based platform. I can make edits on a card or dashboard and the next person just has to reload the page to see updates. This shortens turnaround time for projects and creates a seamless stakeholder experience.

**What do you like best about Domo?**

Domo has been a critical tool for my role in Product so that I can be aware of changes to my client base both positive and negative. I can be aware of renewals, expansions, or churn with revenue indicators from my reports. Oftentimes I get updates even before the Sales or Support team have passed along the news. This makes it easy to know when I should or should not reach out to clients for feedback.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

With Domo, I am still limited on what reports that I can leverage with my teams current configuration. There may be data points that I am missing or are superfluous that I need to rely on an admin to adjust instead of tweaking them myself.

**What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domo helps me keep an eye on my current clients as well as usage with certain features. It is bringing multiple data sources together so that I can have effective reporting.

I love being able to customize what data pertains to each department in our office.

I strongly dislike that the data takes 24 hours to update. The data is not in real time.

We are able to see our conversion rates based on how many cases we sign up each month. This has been helpful when applying bonuses for specific teams. Goal setting makes this possible through DOMO.

**What do you like best about Domo?**

I love that Domo is easily able to go with whatever my needs are. If I need to filter, Sort through my companies mant warehouses and locations or uplaod a CSV to Netusite, the process is very simple yet effective. Domo was very easy to implement across all departments in our company - Operations, fiannce and sales all equally use the system daily. The frequest use allows us to catch small mistakes or errors and quickly correct for our customers.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

I dislike that sometimes all line items dont show on downloaded exel reports. You sometimes have to download multiple times or transfer to create more than 1 sheet within the excel . Also, customer training for usage could be a little better.

The barrier to entry for Domo is very low, you can learn basic concepts very quickly and easily. There are also many support channels and videos for any questions you may have when collecting and processing data.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

One downside that comes to mind is the ability to collect data straight to Domo. There are many ways to capture data and link it to Domo, but nothing specifically straight to Domo. There are also other ways of viewing and structuring cards that do not currently exist.

Domo is helping us collect data to create daily, weekly, etc. reports that inform the Managers of where the business is and how it is performing.

**What do you like best about Domo?**

Domo provides a platform that allows you to do much more than data visualization, aside from the standard BI suite you can build fully bespoke applications leveraging Domo's backend in order to accelerate deployments to users. 

Domo provides the best solution for embedded analytics I've ever come across, balancing ease of deployment while providing several different security options to also ensure that only the correct people have access to the correct data.

Domo also provides hands down the best support for automations and alerting out of the box, they also have a great Office add on that allows users to access reports and datasets from their office apps, so they can share things on Teams, drop in content into Powerpoint, and for those who will never build in Domo out of prefrence or skill gap, Domo allows you to import datasets with filtering controls straight into Excel. 

Aside from this Domo also provides other tools that could replace other much costlier applications (which in my particular deployment made several applications that we paid 7X more for each than the cost of Domoredundant) things like Form Builder for questionnaires, Goals for simple project management (think monday reaplcement for Kanbans and such), and Course Builder that functions as an LMS. 

In terms of deployment Domo has a plethora of connectors that allow you to get your DWH connected in seconds using a user's existing credentials, however OAUTH does require some additional setup.

Domo provides options that cater to all data proficiency levels across the product offering, typically a pro full code level, code-less drag and drop function gui, and no code option for novices or very simple tasks. This tends to extend to building datasets within the platform, data science and ML applications, as well as actual application building. Using Domo Cloud for storage results in the fastest visualization loading times I've experienced on any platform as the compute scales ellastically to provide sub second load times (AND YOU DON'T PAY FOR COMPUTE!!!!!).

What I've found through all the deployments I've done over the last 5 years is that Domo is the platform that is the most flexible, easiest to learn, cost effective, and most importantly has the highest adoption by end users because of the fresh interface, and responsive performance.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

Dataset run times via standard connectors tends to suffer when you get into multi millions of rows, time zone settings can be a bit funky if you're doing real time data streaming or need intraday data, and the mobile app is pretty limited as it is only used for viewing content without any ability to manage the platform via the mobile app.

**What do you like best about Domo?**

Domo is regularly releasing new features and tools that are well developed and truly improve our business practices.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

Domo's layout and design tools can sometimes be rigid. It would be nice if more advanced designers could have more control over layout. <br><br>Domo also does not have a good method of printing visuals. Printing is a lower priority need in our business, but when users really like a visual it is a logical step for them to want to use them in print.<br><br>We could also find value in this as an invoicing software.

**What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated data pipeline and report generation. <br><br>We do not have a centralized data warehouse, "Truth" lies between many systems. <br>Domo allows us to constantly have an accurate view of our business without manual effort or human error.

**What do you like best about Domo?**

Domo is super easy to use and allows us to create beautiful dashboards. At Entrata, we use Domo throughout the business every day. The integrations google sheets, adaptive, netsuite, etc. make it easy to connect data. The magic ETL function is great for those who are new or unpracticed with SQL and even has capabilities beyond SQL. Domo continually adds new functions and features all the time.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

There are a few features that I would like to see added, such as conditional formatting (based on other columns), but overall, the product is great.

**What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us with our data analytics. We've uncovered all sorts of business issues, which helped improved gross margin significantly. We also use Domo across the business for tracking KPIs and digging deeper on growth drivers.

They've really worked to make the fully featured platform affordable with the crediting system - support packages are steep however.

Domo allows me to automate data ingestion from a variety of social media, paid media, pr/comms media, and web analytics platforms. I bring them all together for a number of clients and build highly customized dashboards people actually want to use. This was a huge time savings, for a team of one, it was a game changer. Additionally, I'm able to leverage a number of write back connectors to move cleansed and normalized data wherever it needs to go.

Magic ETLs and the sheer amount of connectors allows me to not only do my job efficiently, but also automate recurring reports and freeing up time to explore other problems. The ability to access local files that are frequently used through Workbench enables me to automate daily reports. PDP and custom Groups allows me to quickly share data with only the people who need to see it.

It is difficult to create a custom connector if one doesn't have a solid knowledge of JavaScript.

Domo is helping us track non-compliance chargebacks, warranty claims, and legal/professional/traveling expenses. Tracking these metrics in real-time allows us to quickly single out outliers and reduce future expenses.

**What do you like best about Domo?**

1. Domo allows for the creation of tailored data experiences. As a Domo creator, you have great flexibility and control over what the user sees, and how the user can interact with the data.
2. It is easy to automate user management on Domo, even at large scales.
3. It is easy to create new content on Domo. New creators can be trained with little effort.
4. Domo has an abundance of visualization types to answer the vast majority of business questions. There is also the option to create custom visuals with D3 Bricks.
5. Domo has excellent customer support, with teams available at all times to help with technical and nontechnical issues.
6. Domo has extreme flexibility with regard to ingesting and writeback of data. Tools like workbench, webforms, and file uploads make it easy to get data into the system. Email reporting is reliable and helpful.
7. Data lineage tools make it easy to maintain complex dataflows.
8. Magic ETL is straightforward to use and easy to maintain. Notes and comments can be left at each step allowing for documentation of rationale behind business calculations.
9. Smart text is very helpful for displaying the latest time of dataset updates, informing the end user of recency of the data.
10. Jupyter integration allows for sophisticated manipulation and visualization techniques.
11. Doc cards allow for the embedding of business procedures into Domo. Version history is included with this feature.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

1. There is a high start-up cost (capital and time) to establish a useful data warehouse.
2. Internal processes and procedures must be created and maintained to ensure that all Domo creators on the instance are creating cohesive content.
3. Once the schema for a dataset is created, it is hard to alter. Changing column names has a ripple-down effect through downstream content including datasets and cards, breaking content.
4. The alerts are relatively simple, preventing the user from creating alerts/triggers on detailed data events.
5. Domo requires the use of a mouse, which slows down development times.
6. Domo lacks the ability to mass-edit content, applying similar changes to multiple cards or dashboards at once.
7. Dashboard management is clunky. The order in which dashboards appear on the left ribbon must be determined manually. There is no option to rank dashboards alphabetically, etc... This is only a problem if the instance has many dashboards.

I like that I have a Dashboard that give me data on my accounts, such as renewal percentages, past due, and churn rations.

I do not find it user-friendly when it comes to creating Dashboards, reports, and getting back to them. I generally quit after not being able to find my own reports.

**What do you like best about Domo?**

Domo is one of the most powerful and intuitive platforms I've ever used. Their proprietary no-code Magic ETLv2 transformation software is brilliantly fast, helping run day-long SQL transforms in as little as a few minutes. What's nice about Domo is it is a full end-to-end solution. It provides the connectors to pull data from thousands of APIs, the transformation tools to get that data into a form that is usable and combine it with other data, and the charting software to display that data in clean, effective charts with proper governance to ensure consumers only see what they need to.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

Domo's customer service is some of the worst I've seen for a SaaS product. Their customer service reps are very non-technical and don't understand the product very well. Worse is they operate under the assumption until proven wrong that you're using the product wrong, instead of there being an actual issue. In addition, Domo rarely rolls out improvements to preexisting features and seems to ignore product feedback from customers on the whole.

We use Domo across our business, from marketing and sales to finance and accounting. We've found Domo most useful in creating curated reports for users to consume their data in a centralized place, in an easy to understand manner. But we also use Domo to power any data in our other systems like managing active users, automatically creating expense reports, and keeping projects synced from one system to another.

**What do you like best about Domo?**

Domo makes it easy to bring data together from multiple different sources and locations and present it in a way that's easy for business users to consume. The interface is very easy to use from a data engineer's perspective through to a viewer of dashboards. The ability to discuss the data in context via Buzz is a great feature.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

There are a small number of admin related tasks that are not as intuitive or easy to complete as per the rest of the product, but this is only a minor complaint.

**What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domo has enabled us to bring data together that was not previously possible without some element of custom development/integration. This has provided a fundamental shift in how data in our organisation has been used. Confidence is building amongst users as they can see where data is coming from and how it has been combined/manipulated to produce 'the result'.

Allows to create, merge, and manipulate datasets without having deep knowledge on Data Science.

You don't need deep knowledge of Data Science, but you do need to dominate general aspects of it to truly be able to create visualizations. 

The other thing I'd mention is that the datasets and cards are really hard to share within your team. The safety system Domo uses makes really hard to share dashboards with your team.

The Domo platform has proven to be an exceptional tool for data management and analysis. Overall, it is a great platform that stands out due to its ease of use and a wide range of functionalities. It's user-friendly, good performance, data manipulations, connectors, ETL, sharing data and privacy.

**What do you dislike about Domo?**

Areas for improvement are Statistical Analysis. Domo's Beast Mode could benefit from more statistical analysis functions (i.e. median function).  

More chart options would enhance the platform’s ability to visualize data in different and potentially more effective ways.

Best about Domo is the quickness that data is available and ready for review. Arun Cumaraswamy was our main point of contact and made the onboarding process seamless and provided outstanding support.

A challenge with Domo is the lack of ability to manipulate data on the back end. If not already reviewed it is a challenge to add.

Their no-code/low-code solutions makes it incredibly easy to utilize for professionals that don't have extensive SQL/data science experience. The user-friendliness of the platform has allowed us to deploy the solution deep into the organization.

We don't have any complaints with the software, it performs incredibly well.

**What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Domo allows us to publish thousands of cards across our organization in near-real time. Prior to Domo, we were only able to report on ~20 PowerPoint slides that would take up to 2 days to publish and be stale by the time they were published. With Domo, we have democratized the data which helps improve our organizational decision making, helps individuals evaluate their own performance and drive workflows for different functions.

The SQL connector is terrible so far. The out of the box connector with Expensify is unreliable. I don't know if that's Domo's fault or Expensify.

I am able to access statistics from several sources to see expenses, sales, etc for each of the locations that I am in charge. Domo displays the information in easy-to-read graphs and helps me to be able to present the information.

It seems to be very SQL intensive so we have to have SQL administrators to make sure that the right databases are connected and providing proper input.
