Worst digital marketing agency I've ever worked with **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026 **What do you like best about Digital Silk?** It's better than absolutely nothing (but sometimes worse than nothing at all). **What do you dislike about Digital Silk?** They overcomplicate very simple tasks and need constant handholding to get anything done. If you do not detail something in agonising minutiae, they will make a mess of it. They are generally unresponsive and when they do respond it's pages of ChatGPT slop. Our website is routinely down but they will gaslight you and just say 'no it wasn't' forcing you and the rest of your team to take timed screenshots when it goes down to prove that it was down for hours and not 'just a few minutes' like they love to claim. They have abhorrent security practices. Our site was hacked twice and it came from Digital Silk. **Recommendations to others considering Digital Silk:** Genuinely do not bother. **What problems is Digital Silk solving and how is that benefiting you?** We started using digital silk 2 years ago and the experience has gone from mediocre, to average, to bad, to worse. Digital silk built our website (and also took it upon themselves to get free advertising from our traffic by plastering their name and contact in the footer without our consent). We are tearing our hair out with them. The gaslighting and obfuscation is unbearably bad. ### 2. We ended up working as their QA department for free, and a project that was suppose to be done in 3-4 months took 13 months to complete! **What do you dislike about Digital Silk?** We hired Digital Silk in July 2024 for a website project quoted at 3-4 months. We terminated after 13+ months of chronic quality failures. What Went Wrong: Quality Control: We raised over 200 issues in design and 100+ in testing. Digital Silk admitted this was "extraordinary." In May 2025, their team confirmed 74% of our tickets were bugs—problems that should never reach clients. We became their unpaid QA team. Responsive Design: Issues on standard screen sizes (13" MacBook Pro) first raised in March 2025 weren't fixed until August—5 months later. Hero banners pixelated, cards stretched, layouts broke on common devices. Training: CMS training was superficial. 21% of tickets resulted from user errors that proper training would have prevented. No guidance on image workflows or basic page creation. Project Management: Opaque ticketing system with no tracking visibility Weekly calls cancelled, replaced with confusing email threads June 2025: Requests for calls ignored 3 times, requiring CEO escalation Post-launch: Never received admin access; had to request it a week later Billing Issues: Three separate attempts to bill us for hour overages caused by their mismanagement (October 2024, January 2025, August 2025). All quotes rescinded after we proved the issues stemmed from their failures. Their Response: When we documented these problems, they claimed we received "$50,000 in complimentary work"—hours spent fixing their own mistakes. They called 13 months of bug fixes "an excellent, high-quality deal." Outcome: We migrated to a new provider within a month of launch. The final website works, but only after we spent over a year catching their errors. Great company for those who do not have a dedicated web dev in house **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 05, 2023 **What do you like best about Digital Silk?** I love the ease of use, the implementation was fantastic to work with, their customer support made me feel valuable, and the features and integration were fantastic to work with **What do you dislike about Digital Silk?** There was not much i disliked, the only issue i ran into was pricing, but we were able to make it work **Recommendations to others considering Digital Silk:** If you are looking for a solution to get your companies digital platform to the masses, this is the solution for you. As a Director of IT, it does not make sense to have a dedicated scripter on salary, and to hire someone with that experience for other duties to then pull them away from what is most important in production to do something like this, would be more costly. Give them a talk and you will see this is the solution for you. **What problems is Digital Silk solving and how is that benefiting you?** Updating, renovating, and rejuvinating our companies website and internal applications. Being the Director of IT, this is a multi department issue between marketing and IT.
