## Condens Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI

Is Condens free, or does it offer a free trial?

Condens does not offer a permanent free plan, but it does provide a free trial that lets users to test the product before committing to a paid plan. Trial availability and duration may vary, so users should review the seller's official pricing page for the most current details.

How much does Condens cost in 2026?

According to G2 data, Condens pricing in 2026 starts at €15.00 and can reach €500.00 depending on the selected plan. Pricing may vary based on billing terms or usage, so users should review the Condens Insights GmbH's official pricing page for the most current details.

Who is Condens pricing best suited for?

Condens's pricing structure serves distinct audiences at each tier. G2 reviewers from small businesses, freelancers, and academic researchers find the Lite plan (€15/month) sufficient for transcription, tagging, and basic analysis — particularly those switching from Dovetail. Mid-market teams in computer software, market research, design, and financial services dominate G2 reviews for the Business tier (€500/month), valuing stakeholder repositories, AI search, and unlimited viewer seats for democratizing research access. Enterprise-tier features like custom MCP, advanced permissions, and dedicated success management align with large organizations in healthcare, energy, and banking cited across G2 reviews. Education institutions benefit from dedicated EDU licensing noted by multiple G2 reviewers.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Condens?

Condens's free trial runs 15 days and unlocks all features including unlimited transcription, analysis, repository tools, and onboarding support — making it a full-capability evaluation window rather than a stripped-down tier. After the trial, Condens's paid plans diverge significantly. The Lite plan (€15/month) retains transcription and analysis but drops repository features and limits integrations to basics like Zoom. G2 reviewers on Lite explicitly flag missing global tagging and AI features as pain points. Condens's Business plan (€500/month) restores repository access, adds AI search, ChatGPT/Claude integration, stakeholder repositories, and advanced integrations. Enterprise adds unlimited repositories, custom LLM connections via MCP, API access, and advanced anonymization.

Is Condens considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers broadly rate Condens at 4.5–5.0 stars, signaling strong satisfaction relative to cost. Freelancers and solo researchers on the Lite plan (€15/month) consistently praise affordability compared to rivals like Dovetail and NVivo, with several G2 users explicitly citing switching from Dovetail for cost reasons. The main value tension surfaces around the Business tier (€500/month): G2 reviewers note AI features, repository tools, and advanced integrations are locked behind that significant jump from Lite. Mid-market reviewers flag aggressive renewal price hikes as a concern, though recent reviews suggest Condens has become more negotiation-friendly. Students and academics benefit from EDU licensing, which multiple G2 reviewers highlight as a standout access point.

"Great tool, great company!"

5/5

What do you like best about Condens?

Still love all these things! It is both stunningly simple and deeply complex at the same time. I think there's a pretty small learning curve, and as we're working toward democratization and providing guardrails to help new roles do some of their own research, it was important to find a platform that would be simple for people to pick up. The drag-and-drop feature is super powerful. I'm always discovering more delightful features. They incorporate AI in an intentional and impactful way that enhances the researcher's value and efficiency, allowing more time for thoughtful analysis. Everyone on my team has loved it so far, and it's so easy to build up our repository right from the research completed. I make a lot of templates for our organization, both study types and artifacts, and it has been great to be able to create those to support others coming on to the platform. On top of all the amazing features, ease of use, ease of learning, and powerful capabilities, I am enamored with Condens as a company for how engaged they are with customer feedback. I always get a response to any feedback I send in. Sometimes it's to ask clarifying questions, and multiple times it has been to say, "We are actually releasing that feature this week!" or "We just released that feature today, just refresh your page!" What this says to me is that they are very in tune with what their users want and need. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, as they are a platform that supports research / user-centered design and development :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Condens?

There isn't great support for analyzing quantitative data or viewing survey results. It's very possible to do what you need to do with making charts, but it's just a little more tedious than native survey tools' reporting features. The transcription is pretty good in general, but there is room for improvement there. It is certainly a huge improvement from other transcription tools, it's good at recognizing speakers and making edits, but sometimes it just falls short. It'd be great to be able to train it on custom vocabulary. The Whiteboards (kinda like a miro board, but integrated with your tags and research directly) are a great concept, but the usability is kinda tough. It's hard to figure out what you're selecting and moving, and harder to pick up for people who don't use it often. It's great to have, though, for affinity mapping the highlights that are already made in the platform, just wish it was a little bit of a smoother experience. These are just a handful of things, and I had to go into Condens and look around to remind myself what things I dislike, because it is such a great tool. And because they are always making improvements and taking feedback, I have full confidence these things will improve over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good way to centralize User Research"

4/5

What do you like best about Condens?

Centralised place for UX Research within the company. It allows people to more easily make an understanding of the raw qualitative data, especially because of the use of a great video transcription feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Condens?

Customer support have been helpful in identifying possible sessions with the company, to board in the new tool, but recent changes in the plans made things we needed more expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Condens solving and how is that benefiting you?

UX Research is with a low maturity in the team, and I think Condens can help in identifying possible business benefits research can bring to the table. It is also, for product and design people, a great resource of information gathered. We are trying to test the new AI features and it looks promissing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
