Closely only created problems for me, mainly getting my LinkedIn account banned. The integration with HubSpot didn't work either. The lifetime deal on AppSumo made me try to switch, but it ended in a disaster. The initial setup was easy enough, but considering the issues, that's not worth anything. The dashboard provides easy-to-understand campaign statistics, and it's easy to set up campaigns that automate tasks that are normally time-consumingly manual. It's not just for LinkedIn, you can also add your email and have the system auto send emails as part of your campaign. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the branding of Closely's dashboard and the detailed campaign statistics, which help me track every step. As someone responsible for outreach and lead generation at my company, the cloud-based system and warm-up feature have been essential. I’ve been using it for 9 months without any LinkedIn bans becuase of their warm-up feature.

The ability to extract 2,500 profiles and directly download them as a CSV or Google Sheet is a significant time-saver and a plus, allowing me to manage my campaigns more efficiently to upload the CSV to my LinkedIn campaign. They also consistently roll out updates, and whenever I provide feedback, I receive a link to their roadmap, which I find very helpful. The customer service is commendable, too. I use and monitor it everyday. I love that it can be integrated with HubSpot so my messages are recorded in our HubSpot CRM and it is easy to set-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find the email campaign features lacking—they're not robust enough for my needs, particularly the fixed "unsubscribe" button. I wish I could edit this unsubscribe text so it doesn't come across as a marketing email for cold outreach. Additionally, once you upload a CSV, the data can’t be edited, and campaigns can't be modified after they're paused or stopped. Their customer support could be more knowledgeable, as I’ve encountered issues where I should have trusted my instincts instead. There’s a learning curve at the start, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes easier. Testing is key. Lastly, their lead finder is really not working an can't extract emails, so I still use another tool for email extraction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Closely is an established tool in the outbound sector, allowing you to automate many manual tasks while still functioning human-like.

I love the intuitive UI, and the tutorial videos are explained in a way that makes everything easy to grasp. This will be my first time using LinkedIn for a professional lead generation strategy, and so far, I’m really impressed with the capabilities of this tool.

Super shady cancellation policy for renewals. If you don't want to be charged for NEXT MONTH you must provide 15-25 days of notice. This was NOT made clear anywhere on their website during onboarding unless you take the time to read the terms and conditions which let's be honest most people don't read. I acknowledge it's ultimately my fault for not reading fine print, but just warning others out there.
