**What do you like best about Cleverbridge?**

Handles all tax/VAT and other compliance issues for my businesses. Subscription and renewal management just work without any fuss or drama. I've used several different eCom platforms over the years, and in my view there's no better solution for selling digital goods than Cleverbridge. Great product, great platform, great service, and great people -- working with their team is always a pleasure.

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

No access to templates, so changes must be requested through client success. This can take time as it's scheduled with design, compliance, legal, etc. Also, there's an obscure feature we use (transactions CSV export) that keeps breaking on us.

**What problems is Cleverbridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

End-to-end checkout platform for digital goods / software. Payment processing with local payment methods. Compliance with various VAT, tax, and other regulations in different regions. Subscription and renewal management.

**What do you like best about Cleverbridge?**

Cleverbridge is so easy and intuitive to use. Setting up products and creating direct  shopping cart links is a simple process, making it easy to manage and update products without the need for a lot of technical knowledge.

Another important part for us is that it supports integration with systems like Marketo and Salesforce, which significantly improves usability for other teams.

Cleverbridge also offers additional tools for cross-selling, upselling, and improving conversion rates.
Additionally, we always receive very good support from the team assigned to our account

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

One thing that’s the downsides of Cleverbridge is that there’s no way to send shopping cart links for renewal subscriptions. This makes the renewal process a bit problematic, especially since all purchases are counted as new, even if the customer has already bought the same product before.

Something that also can be improved is how the renewal rate is tracked. Currently it is on subscription level instead of the account level, which makes it harder to get a full picture of customer retention. On the bright side, you can request a custom report from the support team to get this information, which is helpful.

**What problems is Cleverbridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that Cleverbridge solves for us is collecting payments in different currencies.
Another important aspect is that invoices are automatically issued and sent to customers immediately after payment is received.
In addition, Cleverbridge offers a PO (Purchase Order) option for those who need a pro forma invoice.

The expertise of all the Cleverbridge personnel we have worked with plus personal service in setting up our web store.  With the help of the Cleverbridge technical team, integration into our existing web site and testing system was very fast!

No negative experiences so far.  All experiences have been very positive.

**What problems is Cleverbridge solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our last e-Commerce company suddenly went out of business so we were stuck in not being to able to process orders and sell our on-line exams.  Cleverbridge's team worked hard to get our web store back up and running with minimal down time as well as linking to our on-line exam system so that exams could be delivered to our customers just like with our old web store.

**What do you like best about Cleverbridge?**

As a B2B-oriented business, we like the number of features Cleverbridge offer when dealing with corporate customers. The API is extensive and well documented with technical staff ready to help.

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

Implementation of checkout / self-service pages is somewhat awkward and slow. As a customer we don't have full control of the checkout process and its appearance. Most of the changes - even cosmetic ones - need to be implemented by Cleverbridge staff, which sometimes takes weeks. While we can manage most aspects of our products, pricing, and license delivery, some properties still need to be implemented and hardcoded in by CB staff, which seems odd as we would be able to modify that staff much more promply ourselves, given the right tools, and free up CB staff from additional overhead.

Cleverbridge removes the overhead of:

1) Payment processing and invoicing.
2) Tax and other governmental compliance.
3) Invoicing.
4) Subscripion management.

**What do you like best about Cleverbridge?**

I've been using Cleverbridge for more than 5 years, and I must say, the most valuable and useful feature for me is the reporting and analytics. The metrics and level of detail provided is exactly what I need. Overall Cleverbridge reporting helps me to answer any business questions and address any requests in minutes.
The interface of the platform is very intuitive and user friendly. In most of the cases you don't need any guide to use the platfrom.

While Cleverbridge offers excellent service, features, reporting and analytics, I find the cost of the service to be quite high. It's a significant investment.

The reporting tools could be made more user-friendly. Additionally, we would like more customization options for the mailings. However, we are already in a constructive exchange with the team from cleverbridge about this.

Cutting edge technologies and best in class support. Anytime I've had an issue, big or small, the team at CB is always at the ready to respond! CB has supported SmartBear Software for over 10 years now and I can't say enough about the team over there.

Changes can sometimes take a bit long but they do end up getting completed to satisfaction

They've greatly simplified our sales process for our inside sales team by allowing them to seamlessly create custom shopping carts (quote to cart) which enable our customers to effortlessly complete their purchases.

Their account service was responsive, and they demonstrated expertise in their field and with their product. Their professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond to meet our needs was appreciated, especially when the requirements kept changing.

We faced a couple of technical integrations issues, but they quickly addressed the issue and kept us updated throughout.

They solved the problem of  being able to quickly set up an eCommerce store for our core product.  As of today, we're seeing orders and there has been little to no issues with the service.

Their platform is extremely stable, and they provide a wide variety of payment methods and features. Without them, we would not have been able to reach such a diverse client base worldwide as we do now.  It's easy to get in contact with real people who care about what they do.

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

Too many minor issues (in payment processing and policy) combined add up to more lost revenue than I'm happy with. Their priorities often seem bells and whistles we don't need and internal optimizations than optimizing our revenue,

Provides invoicing, billing and tax compliance as merchant of record. We could never have done business in so many countries so easily without that.

Cleverbridge developed an online shopping cart for us with several customizations.  They were very responsive, and developed this cart in less than 3 months.

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

There were some aspects of international pricing and taxes that we did not understand until after go-live, which caused some issues.  Cleverbridge worked with us to resolve the issues as quickly as possible.

Cleverbridge put up a cart to sell our software very quickly, and we have had steady sales since then.

Cleverbridge always provided good tools to drive our business to success and continuously improve the customer experience and shopping cart performance. 
The people from cleverbdige represent another important aspect of this strong relationship. They are always well prepared and professional and provide their support to get every project to a successful delivery.

Some of the technologies and platforms they use for development are not very flexible, which sometimes impacts the development capabilities and the level of effort for specific requirements.

Cleverbridge hosts the shopping cart for Avira, handles the payment process and the retention tools and provides many more features, all of these being vital components in the eCommerce process that lead to a smooth integration and constant improvement of the customer experience and eCommerce metrics.

It is easy to use for our customers. The chargebacks are very easy, and all the information they can find easily.

There are often bugs which appear sometimes on CB side, sometimes on our side. Also, CB is approving refunds which are not approved from our side.

Cleverbridge really is a turnkey solution. It is also a convenient service because it is cloud-based, which makes it a good product. Additionally, I like the MVT campaign feature, which makes split testing between designs and prices much easier. One of the best features is how it can be used internationally as well.

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

There is nothing I would say I didn't like. Limited access to templates. It may take some time to implement change requests or customizations. If Cleverbridge were a company registered in all 50 states, it would give my tax department more confidence that they truly assume full responsibility.

**Recommendations to others considering Cleverbridge:**

I can't say enough good things about them. I know. Try it and you won't regret it, don't be shy to ask them for any kind of support. You won't find another platform that does everything Cleverbridge does.

For a system where the user can "rent with an option to buy," the CleverBridge software guarantees us that our users can pay us easily, quickly, and securely. Since we started working with Cleverbridge, we have greatly improved our user experience. By selling it directly online, we can reach our customers.

**What do you like best about Cleverbridge?**

Cleverbridge truly is a turnkey solution. When we built our own site, basic ecommerce features required development cycles, on which we had to compete for resources with other groups. Effectively, we were under-featured and under-supported. With Cleverbridge, we had access to a wealth of features, right out of the box. Their architecture means faster response, including page load time and cart execution, all over the world. Their customer service model gives us professional services when and where we need them at no extra charge. It's a great platform.

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

It would be great if Cleverbridge was a registered business in all 50 states - would give my tax department more confidence that they truly do take on full liability. However, I haven't been able to find another turnkey ecommerce platform that is registered all over the USA and offers the full feature set they do, so this is more of a nice-to-have.

You won't find another platform that does everything Cleverbridge does. I know. We looked.

Service began well and nose dived pretty quickly after a multitude of promises.

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

Long waits for design changes. These changes also tend to be very expensive.

Reps take a long time to respond and we found customer service lacking. 

Results were not where we expected them to be. 

Changes to our agreement felt never to be in our favor and always against our best interests. I see others have found a similar experience...

Cleverbridge was a huge upgrade over our previous system. The customer facing aspect is really fantastic. It was a huge upgrade from our old storefront and backend system. Currency conversion is no longer a headache while it is also more accurate to current rates.

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

Some customers have indicated difficulties when utilizing coupons and other specials, but this looks to be isolated to individual users and not the wider customer base.

**Recommendations to others considering Cleverbridge:**

Cleverbridge has been great at communicating with us and has been very transparent in the entire process.

We needed to move from a model of having a yearly software release, where a user would pay once. To a system where the user can 'rent-to-own' the software. Cleverbridges billing systems have really streamlined all aspects of currency management, revenue collection, and security.

I enjoyed the visuals of the software/service. I also enjoyed the feel of it. It was very smooth and quite easy to figure out. This is also a convenient service because it is cloud based which makes it a good product. One of the great features is how this can be used internationally as well.

The Cleverbridge staff is readily available and quick to respond to any issues we have. Once you get the hang of the program, it is fairly intuitive.

The program itself runs pretty slow. It is also very easy to make a mistake that is potentially unfixable (at least by someone with limited access - but the Cleverbridge staff responds and helps quickly)

We are using this for our e-store and for managing a subscription based service. Aside from the slow moving program, updates and price adjustments can be done fairly quickly.

**What do you like best about Cleverbridge?**

I like Cleverbridge's cart-customization ability. Unlike other platforms, whose cart pages layout are always the same,  Cleverbridge can create cart layout according to your own design, or  even better, they can recommend one layout for you according to your idea. I also like their attitude to the clients. For example, we get Quarterly Review every 3 months with our account manager, and I can always get some new ideas from it. Also, I like the MVT campaign feature, which makes the split tests between layouts and prices much easier. The last thing I would like to mention is that their customer support team are very good. They can take direct requests from customers on behalf of us, and also communicate with our own support team.

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

One thing to improve: one cart layout  normally takes 2 weeks; it's always better if it can be shortened.

We are a software company. We use Cleverbridge as our e-Commerce Platform. Basically, Cleverbridge handles payments for us; also, it manages affiliates for us. The last, the split test tool build-in their system is very good and helpful.

We like the robust but versatile design of the e-commerce platform, the attention-to-the-detail and comprehensive client service provided by our CMs, and the world-class service we got from the customer support team. Choosing CleverBridge is one of the best business decisions I had ever made!

Nothing particular for the time being. 1-2 years ago, it was the system outages that bothered me a bit and made me think if I had made the right choice. But it hasn't been a problem for quite a while

I've previously worked with other platforms (like shareit) and the main difference is the amazing support I get from them, there isn't a request or a business need they do not answer promptly and try to find the best solution for.

**What do you dislike about Cleverbridge?**

Sometimes their financial system fraud detection is way too strict which causes us problems even with our good-faith customers. Also we miss anonymous payment methods like paysafecard.

Try it out and you wown't regret, don't be shy in asking them for any type of support.
