## Brivo Reviews
  ### 1. Brivo has been a reliable and convenient solution for managing hotel guest access.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany O. | Property Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

The cloud-based system makes it easy to control and monitor everything remotely, which has been a huge time-saver. Customer service is excellent. Easily integrates with PMS.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

It only updates about once an hour, which can be frustrating when we have last-minute reservations. It would be a huge help if it could sync automatically every 15 minutes.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brivo has solved the hassle of managing physical keys and coordinating last-minute access for guests.

  ### 2. Easy to use system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

Brivo is easy to install and the cloud based software makes it a breeze to manage from anywhere. Customer service/tech support is helpful and usually gets issues fixed in one call.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

The only real downside is that if you lose internet, you can’t make changes until it is restored. The system will still function, but you can’t change schedules or add/remove users.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing access to sensitive areas without the need for multiple keys. The video integration with EagleEye makes securing properties easy.

  ### 3. Brivo are the go to for cloud-based access control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

The customer service is very responsive when it comes to resovling issues with their platform or updating it to meet our changing needs.

As it's cloud based, I don't have to engage our infrastructure team about software / patch updates.

Also the GUI is very intuitive and the whole system is easy to set up - gone are the days were hours are spent in training or having to remember how to do things like run reports.

Best of all, we have saved so much time by removing manual data entry as the system integrates seamlessly with our HR/IT systems.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

Some industry specific reports and functions aren't available like in other "enterprise systems", but I'm sure they'll get there as they are always making improvements.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast growth - we are growing globally and need a system that can on/offboard lots of staff efficiently
Compliance - Integration with AD/SSO/HR systems mean that our auditors have peace of mind, knowing that our intellectual and physical property is only accessible by those who are allowed and due to the integrated systems, security is always up to date
Time-saving - Security team is very lean so we don't have lots of resources to find information and with the door access and CCTV being integrated, it means we can find issues quickly and use the analytics to do the work

  ### 4. Ease of use, features, and installer ease makes this a surefire win

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher P. | Senior Systems Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

Best part of Brivo is the training that comes with it. The team that supports this, and the featuresets they add over time make this a fantastic product. From fingerprints, to fobs, to cards, to key codes, to even mobile passes, this company knows what installers, users, and administrators want in a good solid system, and apply it to their products. I highly recommend them.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

There are at times backorders for parts when big orders go through, but its very few and far between.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy install for clients that wish to have physical security, with ease of tracking and logging who goes in when and were.

  ### 5. Excellent Access Control System

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie S. | Technical Operations Support Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

I have found that Brivo has one of the most user friendly interfaces on the market. The flexibility the system offers makes integrating it into either new or existing spaces very easy.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

My only real complaint has to do with the way we, as a dealer, have to access our customers accounts. Having to allow yourself access to remote programming instead of the way it used to be is much more of a hassle than it needs to be.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brivo makes it easy to remotely administer and control access control systems. The cloud based format is ideal for administrating multiple locations without having to be at any one site.

  ### 6. Best way to do access control with modern technology

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

Cloud, database, Web browser GUI. Constantly innovating new features and integrating with other database software.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

Their readers and credentials are proprietary. If there is a supply chain issue, alternatives are difficult.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Offsite access to the system, allows administrators and authorized users to allow access remotely.

Integration with HR databases means no double entry

Seamless integration of multiple sites under one platform makes training simple.

  ### 7. Cost effective Cloud Native Door Access product

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

subscription costs can be difficult to move to from another product that doesnt have Cloud services, but its worth it.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatic user provisioning/deactivation with AzureAD integration is a huge time saver on day to day management. System is very easy to use and integrates with our Coram AI Camera system for door entry recording events.

Showing video footage of the access control system is incredible!

  ### 9. Enterprise but simple enough

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

I like that I can speak with someone directly regading my issue(s) and they take the time to provide step by step assistance as needed. If further investigation is needed, they provide feedback and follow-ups to ensure the issue has been resolved.

Other competitors require you to send an initial email for support and then you have to wait for a call back or reply.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

I have not expierenced a downside with Brivo to date. My questions have always been answered and my issues have been resolved. I am confident with the service I receive with Brivo.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My usual issues are about reporting for various audits. I like that I am able to generate various system reports for reference by our Security Team and they can be confident in the information provided.

  ### 13. Great Service and tech support!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

The tech support rep that I was dealing with was absolutely amazing. I was unfamiliar with the programming software but they stood with me and walked me through the entire process. Customer was extremely happy with the results and I learned so much from the rep that day.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

As a professional installer I think brivo products are great for small and moderate sized applications but it would be nice to see the company compete with some of the more high end systems that are designed for integrations.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brivo access systems are extremely easy to set up and manage which is a plus for productivity and end user training. The systems work great once properly set up and usually don't require high levels of maintenance

  ### 14. Cust service and billing is a complete JOKE!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

It seems to work well but if you have any issues with billing or customer support you will be out of luck

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

Slow and non response Billing
Slow and non response Customer Support
Sales support is not helpful at all

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For the customers that we use it on it's very helpful but the negitaves are really outweighing the good at this point

  ### 15. Easy Security System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** CJ P. | Director of IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

Easy installation, setup and to use system. Lots of options to fit any scale of security badge/door/lock requirements. Camera system compliments the security system. Support is easy to work with. Documentation details every setup.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

Documentation on some of their newest products needs more information. Feel as if it takes more time for them to release details on their expanded product line.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing resonably cost physical security system. Use of the cloud to pull reports, setup user access, configuration of doors. No need to be onsite to do any of those.

  ### 16. Security is important and Brivo makes it easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott H. | Network Administrator, Mental Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

I like the remote opening or locking of doors and the ability to lockdown everything with one button. This is important in the event that chaos happens in your facilities.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

I would prefer more control over some of the features for myself. It seems like too many things such as renaming of doors can only be done by Brivo and not the Super Users of the system.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Facility safety is the primary use for Brivo. Using this system reduces access from parts of our facilities for non-employees which greatly improves the safety for the employees.

  ### 17. Brivo Excellent Access Control

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

It is the most intuitive system for access control that I have ever used.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

There are no true wiring diagrams easily accessible for my technicians.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes the small nuances of access control taken care of by the customer instead of myself.

  ### 19. Great in the past, falling short now

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Security and Investigations | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

Dependable product, quality devices. Innovative interfaces, not always the most intuitive though

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

Customer service has degraded significantly in the last 6 months. Emails go unanswered, calls unresolved, email responses received are vague.
When trying to reactivate service for a new customer at an existing brevo location, often the form required is ignored and we have to wait until a technician is on site to keep reaching out to brivo until we find somebody who will help us.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Access control

  ### 30. An easy-to-use, easy-to-integrate security solution.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

Brivo is user-friendly. It has been easy to train new users, easy to set up new integrations, and easy to pull reports on badging data whenever necessary. We have also been able to utilize it at all of our global offices which was not true of our previous security solution.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

The mobile passes are only available in quantities that do not match our use case very well.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As our company navigates post-Covid work flexibility, badge data has become more important to making informed real estate decisions. Brivo makes collecting and reporting on that data easy.

  ### 31. Brivo Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly M. | Accounts Payable and HR Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

Brivo has allowed us to automate our Doors and Gate at work. We can open the doors and gates from anywhere in the US. We were also able to sync it with Siri, so instead of opening the app, we can say "Hey Siri" Open.............(door, gate); this helps to eliminate key fob and gate clickers that can tend to be cumbersome. It is also easy to add new users through the website.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

There is nothing I dislike about Brivo at this time. It is very user-friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering Brivo:**

Consider using Brivo for your business. It's a great program/app and very user-friendly.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have eliminated the fob and gate clickers and have made it easy to open doors and gates from anywhere. When someone is at the front door, we can look at the camera and see who is there before opening the door. They do not have to wait for us to walk to the front as we can open the door from our desk.

  ### 32. A security engineers dream for a multi office organization.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Randy N. | IT Operations Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2020

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

I love that the entire organization is in Brivo. All of our offices are linked together so we can provide easy access and maintain real-time security for the entire organization.

The fact one IT person can provide support to Dallas, New York, and all our remote employees at once is the most beautiful feature. There have been plenty of times we needed to provide access as a one-off to an employee to the office at 11 pm at night and we were able to even do it right from the Brivo mobile app itself!

awesome product.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

I dislike you have to apply to use their API to set up SAML access for it. I feel like this should already bee internally added. It was not told to us there are extra steps to have to apply to get SAML access. It is the biggest downside to the product.

Their customer support has been awesome and very helpful after the fact. I just wish there was more transparency right off the cusp with their SMAL API.

For companies that like doing things on their own time and at their own pace its a little frustrating to have to reach out to their support team to enable a feature for us when we already pay a lot of money for as is.

**Recommendations to others considering Brivo:**

The only recommendation that I can think of off the top of my head is letting clients have full access to the SAML API right off the cusp. As an IT Professional when choosing the software we weren't informed right off the bat that this would have to be a requested feature.

**What problems is Brivo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Brivo we are able to provide remote support for employees who need to access the building and no one is onsite to assist. We can remotely open the office for them whenever they need it.

With Brivo we are able to provide real-time remote security for offices by setting office hours of when employees can unlock doors.

We realized that Brivo has been a key part to automating a lot of IT work and it is highly recommended.

  ### 33. Not your dad's key card solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

If I leave my wallet (with key card in it) at home, or at my desk, the Brivo Onair Pass app on my phone gets me in. The fact that all of our doors at all of our offices use the same key card/mobile app solution makes my life much easier.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

If I put my mobile too close to the reader, Apple Pay kicks in and tries to approve a purchase. No risk of any money changing hands, but it gets in the way of pushing the button in the app to unlock the door. Simple solution is just to stay a foot or two away when using the app.

**Recommendations to others considering Brivo:**

Pass along the advice about not holding the mobile app too close to reader. Stand a couple of feet away and it works every time.

**What do you like best about Brivo?**

Brivo is the security system for door/entrances/exits at my coworking space. The system is easy to use and extremely cool. You can give access to users to unlock doors from their phones via an app. The app is efficient and I think this company will be big moving forward.

**What do you dislike about Brivo?**

Sometimes doors unlock instantly, other times it can take up to 5 seconds. Either way, it's still extremely fast.

**Recommendations to others considering Brivo:**

Easy for multiple users. Great security system.
