Our initial camera installation is focused on our shipping areas to monitor activity more effectively. Our needs have grown and the Rhombus solution has been added to give us outdoor coverage.

Rhombus’s partner network is great. They do a solid job empowering you and providing training on their products. Their integrations with other vendors in the networking space also make them more attractive compared with other camera vendors.

I don’t think there’s anything I don’t like about them.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

I found Rhombus to have very attractive hardware, particularly the 360-degree cameras which provide continuous, all-around viewing. The software's AI capabilities are impressive, allowing for license plate and facial recognition. The setup was straightforward with helpful tutorials, enhancing usability. Rhombus is crucial for monitoring security and manufacturing processes. Its alert system is invaluable for tracking employee access. The competitive pricing model makes it attractive and renews my contract consideration. Overall, I’d rate it highly due to its software and service quality.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

I find the pricing structure somewhat challenging, particularly because Rhombus licenses the software annually on a per-camera basis. This is a contrast to another vendor I am familiar with, which offers a flat fee without renewal charges. The per-camera annual licensing has been a concern for me, as it adds complexity and recurring costs compared to a straightforward, flat-fee model.

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Rhombus to monitor our facility, enhancing security and quickly addressing accidents. It provides 360-degree views, AI for license plate and facial recognition, and streamlines investigations, which supports our workers' compensation claims efficiently.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

As an Office Manager, Rhombus gives me peace of mind when it comes to physical security. The real-time video feeds, motion alerts, and remote access make it easy to monitor the office, whether I’m at my desk or working off-site. I don’t need to rely on old-school DVR setups or clunky interfaces; everything is accessible from a clean, user-friendly dashboard.

 I can get alerts or view footage instantly if something seems off. It’s proactive security, not reactive.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

Honestly, we’ve only got one camera in place, and it's been smooth sailing since installation. The only hiccup was getting it whitelisted on our internal system—just a bit of back-and-forth with IT. Once that was sorted, it's been rock-solid with no maintenance or fuss. Can’t complain.

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rhombus solves the problem of outdated, unreliable security systems. Before, I had to rely on static CCTV setups that were hard to access and even harder to review. Now, I can check live footage, review incidents, and get alerts in real time.

It makes it easier to manage deliveries, monitor entrances, track visitor flow, and respond quickly to any unusual activity. As the person responsible for the safety and flow of the office, Rhombus gives me both visibility and control.

The system continues to be updated and gets better with each update. Firmware upgrades are carefully controlled. I haven't had any issues.

Audio with the separate speaker appliance could be improved.

Rhombus helps us be more productive as an IT Department.  No longer are we having to spend hours upon hours pulling footage.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

By far my favorite thing about rhombus is the User Interface/Software. The system was also very easy to set up and integrate with our other cameras. We use it in our organization constantly to monitor our facilities. People in our organization as well as I  also love the features that are offered by the software, such as customizable video walls and the systems ability to capture faces and license plates. Lastly, even though they have not been needed often, Rhombus customer support has been very helpful and great to work with!

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

Honestly I have tried very hard to think of any downsides and I'm having lots of trouble. I can't think of anything that the system doesn't have, if anything it has more than what's needed! I cannot come up with a downside.

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rhombus has helped us cover many "blind spots" that were in our facilities and on our campus. It has also helped us with the ease of access for our administrators. Now they are all able to have accounts and log into their system on their computers or even their phones! It has also required minimal training since the app/website is so user friendly. It has also helped us to record incidents in our organization that would normally be missed or unseen.

Installation is quick and easy. Camera choices are straightforward. The web console is super easy to use. Same-day support response in most cases. Did I say support is great.With over 299 active camera installed in 5 locations,

With over 299 active camera installed in 5 locations, I can say I do not have any dislikes. Keep up responding to console feature requests. So far you are great job.

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can cover double the are with the options of the standard cameras and 360 cameras. We are also integrating their door sensors. We 82 currently in use. We also integrated HALO smart sensors for all of our High School restrooms. These sensors easily integrate into the Rhombus console.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

I like how easy the interface is, when using it with our company it is extremely easy to train people on how to best use the system and all its features. We use it every day across our multiple buildings and it is great!

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

I wish after a certain length of time captured videos were automatically deleted from our system which would make everything move smoother. I do think the update from how we used to be able to search a specific spot on the cameras was way better than how the interface is now. You cant zoom in while searching an area, without the area changing to the zoomed in/out location. Serious investigation can get quite annoying and difficult because of this change.

Our company uses Rhombus to track people and package movement inside the package rooms and lockers with. our company.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

Very user friendly interface and the support after the sale is excellent. We had a little trouble figuring out how to use a couple features and we set up a call with their support and within minutes into the call our question was resolved. It was actually us causing the issue, the fix was very quick and easy, we overcomplicated what we wanted it to do when it was already built in to the software.

No complaints to date with any of the products so far!

You can have as many cameras as you want in multiple different buildings and in different city's. The platform lets you have everything all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

I would like to see a camera that has the abillity to turn remotly but also has a great vidieo quality. The 360 veiw camera is the most versitle camera for us but the picture quality is not the greatest when you zoom.

We are able to watch the employee time clock. we were having issues with employees clocking each other in and out when they phyisicly were not there.

We like the user interface and find the system to be very reliable overall. We also like the superior and quick technical support when we have issues with our system, and is a big selling point for us. Being cloud based makes scalability limitless so adding cameras is really easy and painless to install. We also like the alerts when the system is down which is very helpful to us.

I think some of the playback functions could be improved and hope they will improve that part over time, it isn't the most intuitive sometimes to navigate.

The fact the system is reliable and does what it is supposed to do is exactly what we need. It has proven to be useful on several occasions and reviewing footage is fairly straight-forward. We have added a couple of cameras over time and the scalability is a big selling point for us and look forward to the new features being added over time.

I recently explored the updated warehouse features, and I was impressed by the new clear security cameras. The app is easy to navigate, even when accessing it online, and the 360-degree view provides excellent visibility. I love how it identifies equipment and human outlines, making security management much more efficient.

The clear image quality and advanced identification features stand out. The ability to distinguish between equipment and human outlines is incredibly useful for monitoring activity in real-time. The 360-degree view offers comprehensive coverage of the area, allowing for a complete overview of the warehouse. This feature helps in quick assessments and enhances overall security.

1. Verification of Shipments: At least twice a week, we encounter situations where another warehouse claims they didn't receive shipments. With Rhombus, we can easily review camera footage to verify whether items were shipped as intended. This capability provides clarity and helps resolve disputes quickly.

2. Tracking Misplaced Items: If an item we were supposed to receive is misplaced or moved, Rhombus allows us to investigate the situation effectively. We can zoom in on footage to identify who handled the item, which truck it came from, and the specific bay it was in. This level of detail is crucial for accountability and helps us determine the truth in any discrepancies.

The product and platform are obviously amazing. Rhombus works better out of the box than most do after a ton of refinement. And the integration is by far the easiest I've seen.
I'm sure other similar systems are great as well, but what really pushed us over the edge is that their team acts with integrity. After looking into other platforms, we found that this isn't the case with everyone.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

Their team is always developing and improving their platform and the experience. So, every now and then something breaks. Not often, but it's happened. That said, their support staff is already working on the fix before I realized it was an issue. Top notch support.

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rhombus removes the limitations that the traditional NVR imposes and eliminates the server that eventually goes down in time (a dead server is what pushed into this solution). The lack on onsite computing makes troubleshooting and servicing the systems we install a breeze.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

Rhombus has been mostful with the Vape Sensors in the Student Restrooms with a camera on the exits of the restrooms. Using AI technology to capture the face of the student moments after the Vape has been triggered. It has reduced the spread of illegal substances in our schools and prevent the continous use. The staff and security are able to monitor and quickly assess situations using the Cloud platform during and after school hours especially during events. Additionally are very easy to install equipment. Customer Service was great as well during the process and provide the answers and information we needed with additional training.

The product is able to be damaged by the student and needs more durability. At the school we put the product in a area that is lets difficult for students to damage in the restroom area with the Vapes.

Rhombus is assisting our K-12 Schools to be able to prevent and stop vaping and other illegal substances in our schools with providing a safe envirnoment for our students.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

Due to companies being added to the NDAA, we had to find a different security camera provider. After reviewing multiple brands, we decided on Rhombus. The main driver was cost for this decision. Every feature we needed was met and Rhombus was able to undercut the competition on cost. After the move, we were amazed at the ease of implementation and how effortless it was to add on additional cameras as we expanded our coverage. Customer server has been just as supportive 3 years in as they were on day one.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

We tried to be an early adopter of their access control system. Their sales and engineers seemed to be unprepaired for what they were launching. After a few months of trying to get the system of the ground, we decided to return everything and go with a different manufacturer for access control.

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NDAA compliance while provided are simple video surveillance that we require.

The ability to track who our members are the come into our lobby.  The facial recognition is key to us understanding our lobby flow and how we can make updates for a better member experience

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

Nothing to really disklike.  We are finding more options and tools that the system has as we continue to utilize it more and more.  We just wish we had time to enable it all.

We always wanted to find a simple way to gauge who visits our lobby/branch.  This tool allows us to put a face with a name as soon as a member walks through the door, allowing us to great them.

I enjoy the fact that I can cut a small video and save it for later. I don't know all the resources it can do for me as of yet, but being able to save the short videos for evidence is a must.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

Sometimes we experience slow load times. Not sure if it's our system or Rhombus.

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to better secure our school building by having eyes on all of our entrances and exits. We are able to go back and review video footage of any incident within our building and see what took place for a better understanding of peer conflicts, bullying, or incidences that may occur within our walls and on our property.

Sometimes their is lag if you are in the system for a long time.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

I love that I can turn off access and see who has accessed the doors and when. The view of the access reports is very helpful and has helped to catch issues with tenants living on their boats unauthorized. I also like that I can remotely open doors from home.Thed times Ive had to contact support, they have been very helpful. Our onboarding session was  helpful and we have been able to reach out to the specialist with questions.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

The app fails frequently when attempting to use it. We get tenants complaints that they have to stand at the door for extended times especially during inclemet weather. I also dont like that we cant get alerts when a door fails to latch or has issues unlocking.

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rhombus allows us to prevent unauthorized access of the dock and other private areas of the marina. I am able to monitor for high use in the case of tenants living aboard who have not been granted that status. We are also able to force tenants who owe us past due rent to come to the office to resolve the issues by turning off their access.

We recently implemented the Rhombus Security Camera solution across our manufacturing plant of one of our customers. The results have been outstanding. From installation to daily use, Rhombus has proven to be a reliable, intuitive, and powerful surveillance system tailored for the needs of industrial environments.
Installation was straightforward, with plug-and-play devices that integrated easily into our existing infrastructure. The cloud-based platform eliminated the need for bulky DVRs or NVRs, and we appreciated the ability to scale the system effortlessly as our needs evolved.
The camera quality is exceptional, even in challenging lighting conditions or high-traffic areas. I would say recurring subscription costs and no local or limited storage capacity on cameras.  Also, I did not see an option of a PTZ Camera but that may have changed.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

Rhombus allows our staff and safety team full access to all of the cameras in our facility 24x7 from anywhere in the world!  The fact that each camera is a fully independant DVR with no single point of failure (like our old DVR system) and with our enterprise subscription they back themselves up to the Cloud for 30 days of storage is amazing.  With each update Rhombus releases, our existing cameras get more powerful with new features like region searches, notification of unauthorized personel in an area, integration with our external door access system, and easier ways to save off video to provide to staff or the authorities.  Support has been amazing as well; some time ago we had one of our 40 cameras develop an intermittent problem and it was advance replaced without any questions or delay!  The web-based console keeps improving as well and allows a single pane-of-galss to monitor our entire location.

Finally, it would be hard to imagine an easier installation of Rhombus cameras.  All the Ethernet switches we employ are PoE (Power over Ethernet), so it's as simple as plugging in the Ethernet cable, bringing up the Rhombus app and letting the camera see a QR code and installation is complete!

Not a day goes by that our staff doesn't rely on our Rhombus cameras to see what and who is in the building.  Rhimbus has literally been a game-changer for us!

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

I really have no dislikes with Rhombus and have had great interactions with Sales, Support and Channel partners.  The fact that cameras I purchased and installed 4 1/2 years ago not only continue to operate, but have more features than when they were new makes me a believer in subscription services!

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of who is in our building and ensuring that people are safe and secure.  We have full camera access to all external entrances/exits and sensitive areas like where children are being cared for.  While we have safety teams, ministers and volunteers across our building on Sundays and different times throughout the week, video access (and recordings) allow for peace of mind and even a second set of eyes to monitor activity and keep everyone and the property safe.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

The cameras are very reliable and have excellent quality. Their 360 camera is really awesome and provides complete 360 degree coverage for an area. Their support in incredible. The few times we've had issues with a camera that could not be resolved they quickly shipped us a replacemet. They were also easy to setup and install. You just use the app on your phone to set them up and then install them like any other POE camera. We use them pretty much every day and it was a very easy switch from our previous camera system, they integrated seamlessly into our environment.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

The cameras can be pricey depending on the model you get and you have to have a license for each camera.

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had multuple separate security camera systems across our sites and it was a pain keeping up with each one. Some were really old and accessing them remotely was a pain and also a security risk due to opening up ports in the firewall. Rhombus was an excellent solution for this issue. Now we use Rhombus from all our sites and have central control of all the security cameras. We have multiple sites setup in the console and can easily give users access to the sites they need to see. Viewing the cameras is as simple as logging into the web console through a web browser or using the app.

As the Director of Technology for our school district, I’ve had the opportunity to evaluate numerous security solutions over the years, but none have impressed me quite like the Rhombus Camera System. From initial deployment to daily operation, Rhombus has proven to be an outstanding choice for ensuring the safety of our students, staff, and facilities.
The Rhombus dashboard is intuitive and powerful. Our administrators and security staff can easily access live feeds, playback footage, and manage alerts all from a web browser or mobile app.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

Rhombus is an amazing camera system, I haven't found any dislikes yet.

I love Rhombus' AI intergration and facial recognition. We use it daily, especially with the vape detection. Installitaion was fast and simple. Customer support is rapid and very thourough.

Training the AI, but once it's trained, awesome!

With the vape detection, we are able to catch students and properly ID them to ensure that our no smoking policies are enforced.

Rhombus is a cloud based camera and security platform.  This means it can continually evolve overtime without always needing upgrades to physical devices like cameras.  It is easy to access the console and find the video or events you are looking for.  Its easy to install the hardware and to manage users and permissions.  Customer support has been great when we need it and our sales rep has been a blast to work with.  Its loaded with features and gaining more all the time.  The employees I talk with that use it every day have been very happy with Rhombus.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

Biggest downside to Rhombus at the moment is that there is no line crossing functionality.  However, this is a feature they are working to implement.

Rhombus offers a web-based dashboard that is easy to navigate. The mobile app also works great, and it is very functional for a school administrator to access the district's camera system outside of school hours or when the principal is not at the school location.

The zooming capabilities on the standard cameras are not very good. I am sure we could have upgraded, and the zooming capabilities would be better, but I expected even the middle-of-the-road cameras to be better.

Prior to Rhombus, we were using an on premise NVR from IC Realtime. Their product was very clunky when exporting video to share and with management offsite. Rhombus' cloud approach makes managing our cameras easy. We have no had one hardware failure, since choosing to go with Rhombus.

Rhombus is definitely more expensive than the cameras from IC Realtime, but we have found that you get what you pay for.

The 360 cameras work great and provide easy viewing of various areas in our factory and office locations. The ability to seamlessy clip and download recordings makes monitoring issues extremely easy

We previously had some issues with running Rhombus inside of Google Chrome and issues with fast forwading at too high of a speed as it would crash the camera feed.

We are able to monitor our factory and office locations and ensure we are operating a safe work environment. We also monitor our parking lots and can keep a close eye on anyone entering our facilities. Rhombus cameras allow us to monitor our production environments and we've been able to capture and record various safety incidents that have occured in the past.

Rhombus support has been great. But I think I like the viewing and camera tools within the portal the most. Everything is very easy to use and straight forwad. From intergration and implementation all the way to daily use, everything was seemless.

The selection or options for outdoor wireless cameras could be better but the model we ended up getting worked fine. I really don't have any complaints outside of that.

We had no surveillance at our offsite camps we use for classes and outdoor school. Having surveillance not only gives us better of secruity and safety but also gives the parents of the children peace of mind knowning that there's surveillance and a way to watch footage back if something happens.

While the platform is extremely reliable, the initial learning curve for configuring custom alerts and zones can be a bit steep. We also found that some advanced features are limited to higher-tier plans, which may not be ideal for smaller organizations.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

Ben and Ryan at Rhombus have created a seamless user experience. It took around 20 minutes to connect the cameras to my network and position them correctly. The cameras quickly paired with the app with minimal effort, allowing us to begin gathering data for machine learning almost right away. While the facial recognition required some adjustments, the team was extremely helpful in resolving issues. Throughout the process, the team remained responsive and collaborative. There are quite a few quality of life features that flew under the radar in the demo, but surprised me after we set up the system. Using it every day, those features shortened my time required to use the system.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

The bulk upload for user data failed to function correctly; however, manually uploading our team photos and names was straightforward. While we have several hundred employees, this method wasn't ideal, yet it was easier than other systems we have tried. Our situation was somewhat unique, and the alert system along with data collection lacked the robustness we desired. Additionally, the return on investment (ROI) will take significantly longer due to the manual compilation of specific video clips that we require on a daily basis.

Rhombus is helping us track employees that are not following guidelines and established SOPs. Removing extra work clothes/equipment.

Quick and easy set-up of the cameras, literally plug and play.
Intuitive dashboard for viewing cameras, reviewing footage, and saving clips.
Superior customer service experience. Rhombus goes above and beyond to make sure their customers are taken care of. If they can't diagnose an issue remotely, they don't hesitate to enter a RMA and get a new camera in our hands pronto.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

Licenses can get pricey so it's definitely something to inform your management team about. The benefit is not having to deal with on-site hardware and the constant maintenance costs. Having a cloud-based system is a tremendous asset.

Sometimes we run into connectivity issues where we loose coverage because the camera lost connection.

**What problems is Rhombus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a traditional coax and DVR surveillance system. The camera footage was extremely poor, the system was difficult to use, and was out of date. You also had to access the system on-site from a single location. Rhombus is leaps and bounds above our old system.

the object recognition and searching. The license plate recognition is far better than competitors we tried. I was most impressed with how skewed the angle of the lens could be to a moving plate, and still be recognized. the logic chains in the alerts are useful, but i absolutely love that saved footage and the gathered faces/plates are auto saved/retained for a year unless seen again.

i had a customized demo camera have a failure that i sent it in, they couldn't duplicate the problem and sent it back to me, and sure enough it has been working fine.

**What do you like best about Rhombus?**

I like how the cameras are a self-contained NVR.  The cameras communicate directly to the cloud; and there is no need for a device in house that needs to be maintained.    Plug in the POE and the camera system is ready to go.  All changes can be done from the web browser and no hard drives to fail.

**What do you dislike about Rhombus?**

Only downside is the upfront cost of the camera, but with the quality of the device and the fact you do not need to keep replacing the DVR it is worth the investment.

We use Rhombus systems to provide CCTV at our business.  We had a NVR but after the dust got into the system and the hard drive only keeps a few days of data, we can now just upload to the cloud and no need for multiple wires to a NVR

I appreciate that Rhombus is such a small footprint in our office, almost unnoticeable unless you're delibrately looking for it. We recently moved offices and the relocation of our 2 cams was effortless. The portal is easy to navigate and the image quality gives the detail we need. No need to look anywhere else for surveillance! Thank you for providing a great product Rhombus team!
