Before automating our process, we used paper leave slips that had to be manually signed-off on by supervisor, and physically turned in to our HR dept. Process is entirely automated now and takes a fraction of the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Only negative so far was that it was NOT intuitive how to apply just a two-hour leave period (for a doctor appointment). HR here explained how subsequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Appogee is great for streamlining leave requests especially with a larger workforce. Should a colleague require a holiday or leave or just a couple of hours for an appointment, it can all be taken care of. The fact it allows you to see remaining allowance as well as calculate absence is great. You can also allocate different types of leave depending on what's needed. It can also be synced with Google calendar making it easier for other members of the team to see when someone is away. The individual can also keep track of which days they've taken and what dates as well as the type of leave it was. Should a type of leave need to be changed retrospectively (so someone wants to use a holiday in place of a sick day for example), this can also be done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
