Our team doesn’t need to struggle with the clunky, complex UI of our backend HRIS; instead, the interface is clean, intuitive, and highly visual—reminiscent of modern consumer apps.

The initial configuration of complex, multi-layered approval workflows for specialized field allowances was more time-consuming than I anticipated. While the platform is low-code, setting up the logic for regional, site-specific petroleum use cases still requires a deep dive into the backend mapping.

At Misk CO, we were struggling with a highly complex HR database that our employees absolutely hated using. Applaud provided the perfect solution: an experience layer, instead of spending millions ripping out a functional but ugly back-end system. Employees can now use it without needing the training manual.

**What do you dislike about Applaud?**

The initial data mapping between Applaud and our heavily customized legacy ERP was much more difficult than the sales team pitched. Our backend had years of custom pay codes and localized allowances that didn’t map cleanly to Applaud’s standard fields.

Employee adoption of our self-service HR tools was abysmal, which left the HR department flooded with manual email requests for basic administrative tasks. Applaud solved this by making the HR portal actually pleasant to use.

Building customized, department-specific onboarding journeys is incredibly helpful with this platform. A new medical officer at a regional clinic obviously needs a completely different set of introduction materials compared to an administrative clerk at the tax office.

**What do you dislike about Applaud?**

The analytics dashboard for tracking onboarding progress feels quite rigid and doesn’t offer the granular filtering needed for a large government structure. For example, if I want to export a report showing exactly which field workers in a specific rural sub-district have paused their mandatory safety compliance videos, it’s difficult to do that.

The new government employees were consistently getting lost in a maze of physical paperwork and confusing orientation seminars, which led to administrative delays before they could officially begin their public duties.

Managing human resources for thousands of deskless factory workers has historically been challenging because they don’t have access to corporate computers. Applaud sits seamlessly on top of our deeply customized, on-premise legacy HR system and gives our production-floor staff a modern, mobile-friendly application. They can easily track their weekly paychecks.

**What do you dislike about Applaud?**

The initial data mapping between Applaud and our customized ERP backend was much more difficult than anticipated. Our staging environment constantly threw timeout errors when trying to pull complex, accrued leave balances and tiered shift differential pay structures.

Our production staff absolutely refused to use our old human resources portal. It required logging into a shared computer on the factory floor, which led to massive lines and a lot of frustration.

The no-code portal builder interface is surprisingly resource-heavy in the browser, especially when I’m trying to design a completely new custom workflow for uniform requisition requests for our drivers.

Employees are walked through key processes without feeling boxed in or overly restricted, and the AI assistant helps reduce uncertainty along the way. As a result, HR spends less time chasing updates and more time focusing on higher-value work. Our previous approach depended heavily on manual coordination, which wasn’t sustainable. With Applaud, more of that work is automated and guided, making the overall process feel much more sustainable.

Some of the templates needed a bit of adjustment to better align with our terminology, and that initial work took some time. However, it was a one-time effort.

Appluad allows us to create automated compliance workflows that ping employees directly on their mobile phones when their certifications are nearing expiration.

The document storage repository feels incomplete and lacks bulk management tools for administrators. For example, if an external auditor needs to see the completed hazard acknowledgment forms for an entire regional office, I can’t simply select the whole group and click download.

Extracting the financial data to reconcile with our primary accounting ledger is frustrating. Applaud is fundamentally built for HR and the employee experience, not for complex financial reporting.

Every HR request becomes a case, so we can assign it to the correct HR team member, track the status, and also record all communication inside the case. Before this, requests were coming through email and phone calls, and it was difficult to keep track of everything; now it’s much easier.

Reporting is useful, but we had to customize the results to align with our internal HR metrics and management requirements.

Applaud is easy to set up and use, it It no/low code platform integrates with any system at the backend and is completely customizable. The new case management with inbuilt AI helped in automating most of the tasks. Easy to set up and implement. Their round the clock support is second to none who provides solutions with ease. Overall with its mobile first UI and functionalities , it helped in offering a one stop shop

One needs to understand the functionality thoroughly to make the best use of applaud. Sometimes setting up new things becomes a little complex

I've used applaud for my onboarding and it helped me stay on track for completing the required formalities with ease. its timely reminders and nudges helped me not to miss any deadlines. Case management helped me connecting with the right resources when struck and provided me with real time updates on status of cases raised. AI assistant helped me in having the necessary information at finger tips which helped in streamlining the day to day tasks with ease.

**What do you like best about Applaud?**

Applaud is easy to implement. Features like custom branding and advanced AI-driven capabilities enhance user experience and significantly reduce HR’s workload by automating routine and manual tasks. With exceptional customer support that is responsive and knowledgeable, Applaud ensures that we maximize our investment in this innovative platform.

**What do you dislike about Applaud?**

Though the interface is awesome and intuitive, some features need a few extra clicks to access. Maybe this can be improved over time with some feature improvements.

**What problems is Applaud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Applaud greatly addressed the challenge of fragmented employee experience by providing a highly customizable portal with branding options and tailored user journeys. With Applaud we were able to enhance employee engagement and improved productivity across diverse teams.

**What do you like best about Applaud?**

Applaud has helped us configure bots that can respond to queries based on organization policies and bots for people services by sampling the process.

**What do you dislike about Applaud?**

All features are GenAI-powered and work great. The only improvement we can think of is around the analytics dashboard.

**What problems is Applaud solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Applaud bots available to service anytime, employees are able to find answers to their queries quickly without any dependency and hence reducing the workload on HR and other teams. All the people services are now AI powered which simplifies and reduces the effort from the users to use any service. 
These GenAI powered features with great user-experience has enhanced our employee productivity and engagement.
