"Easy, Familiar Task Tracking That Keeps Clinic Work Organized"
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

I work as a Dietician & Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content, so I have many small tasks to track every day. I use Smartsheet to manage patient follow ups, printing diet charts, appointment confirmations, and content planning. I don’t come from a technical background, but I could start using it without any help. The layout feels familiar, like a simple table, so adding tasks and dates is easy for me.

It was easy to set up my sheet for weekly clinic work and content planning. I just created columns for task, status, priority, and due date and started adding my daily work. I didn’t need any special setup or training to begin.

I open Smartsheet almost every day to check what is pending and what is already done. It helps me plan my clinic day and also manage content work for the week, so I don’t forget follow ups and small tasks.

The features I use most are status, priority, due dates, comments, and attachments. Attaching files like diet charts and notes to tasks is helpful because everything stays with the task and I don’t have to search for files later.

I also find it easy to connect this with how I already work. I track expenses in another app and then note related review tasks in Smartsheet. It fits well into my routine and doesn’t feel complicated to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

One thing I notice is that Smartsheet works best on a bigger screen. On smaller screens, I prefer to note things down and update later from my laptop. Also, when I add many tasks in a day, I sometimes forget to set the right status and have to correct it later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Yet User-Friendly Work Management Platform"
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

What I like best about Smartsheet is how it combines power with simplicity: its spreadsheet-style layout makes it very easy to use, even for non-technical users, and implementation is quick since existing Excel or Google Sheets files can be imported right away. The platform is used frequently because it supports everyday task tracking as well as full project management, which keeps teams working in one place. It offers a strong number of features like automation, dashboards, reporting, and Gantt charts without feeling overwhelming. Integration with tools such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, and Jira is smooth, helping teams avoid data silos. On top of that, customer support, documentation, and community resources make it easier to solve issues and learn the system efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

What I dislike about Smartsheet is that while it’s powerful, it can start to feel complex as projects grow, especially with advanced features like formulas, automations, and cross-sheet references, which may require extra learning. The interface, though familiar, can become cluttered with large datasets, making navigation slower. Some reporting and dashboard customizations feel less flexible compared to dedicated BI tools. "Finally moving my manual tracking into an automated dashboard"
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

What I love most is how it handles Sheet Summaries and hierarchy. Unlike a standard spreadsheet, where formulas get buried in the grid, Smartsheet lets me pull high-level metrics like my weekly completion rates into a separate sidebar. This 'hidden brain' approach keeps my task list clean while still feeding live data to an executive dashboard.

The Column Formula feature is also a massive time-saver. Once I set up the logic for parent-child row assignments, I didn't have to worry about broken links or manual entry every time I added a new task. It feels like a robust database that happens to look like a familiar grid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

The formula syntax can be a bit of a headache at first. It’s not quite the same as Excel or Google Sheets, so I ran into some #UNPARSEABLE errors while trying to set up my hierarchy and week assignments. There's definitely a learning curve to figuring out how the sheet interacts with the summary sidebar.

Also, it’s not always intuitive that you can’t just copy-paste text between cells using automation. I had to change my workflow to a manual copy-paste for rolling over tasks because the platform is more rigid than a simple spreadsheet when it comes to moving data around automatically. "Makes a Positive Impact"
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

It’s flexible enough to build trackers, schedules, and dashboards, but structured enough to manage tasks, dependencies, and ownership clearly. Automation, alerts, and real-time visibility make it easy to track progress and hold people accountable without chasing updates. It’s especially effective for coordinating cross-functional work and keeping everything in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

It can feel overwhelming at first. Advanced features like formulas, automation, and dashboards aren’t immediately intuitive, so new users often need training before they can use them confidently. It can also become complex to manage as sheets scale, especially when permissions and automations stack up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smartsheet no longer a reliable platform"
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

I created some advanced applications in Smartsheet a couple of years ago. It has great functionality (plus some glaring weaknesses) but at least it had good support back then. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

Having recently resubscribed I am unable to access my old sheets and reports etc and Support simply ignores my many requests for assistance. Plus, they recently changed the billing method so that every user pays which makes it very expensive. Plus, they require a minimum of 3 seats on the Business plan which means that I would have to pay $1000 per year when I am the only developer.

In short, do not buy Smartsheet. It's now an unreliable platform and too expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Functionality Makes Work a Breeze"
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

Ease of the functionalities. Smartsheet has a wide range of tools that can be used to work efficiently. There's a lot of features I haven't fully discovered, yet everything feels easy and straight forward to use. The best way to describe it, is excel on steroids and made easier to operate. I'm using smartsheet on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

When you are working collaborative, the overwriting of other colleagues changes is not always very handy. If this could be improved so it's more direct and every change gets automatically autosaved, that would improve the overall experience even more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Flexible, Collaborative Project Management Tool"
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

I use Smartsheet mainly for project management and task tracking. It helps organize projects by creating sheets where tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities can be clearly assigned to team members. Smartsheet solves the problem of organizing projects and tracking tasks efficiently. Before using it, it was difficult to keep track of deadlines, responsibilities, and projects in one place. With Smartsheet, I can manage tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress in real time. What I like most about Smartsheet is its flexibility and ease of organizing projects. The spreadsheet-style interface makes it simple to create tasks, assign responsibilities, and track progress without needing complex training. I also appreciate the real-time collaboration features, which allow team members to update tasks, add comments, and monitor project progress easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

One thing that doesn’t always work as well with Smartsheet is that some advanced features can be a bit complex for new users. It may take some time for team members to fully understand all the functions, especially when setting up more detailed workflows. Another area that could be improved is the pricing structure, which might be a bit high for smaller teams or organizations. Offering more flexible pricing options could make the platform more accessible. Additionally, improving integration and customization options could make it even more powerful for teams that rely on multiple tools in their workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smartsheet is a great tool that makes my job easier to do."
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

My favorite thing about Smartsheet is how flexible it is. You can use it for just about anything. It's also very simple to make changes to a solution once it's been created. It's nice to be able to pivot when needed! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

Smartsheet dashboards are generally good, but I’m disappointed that there isn’t an option to filter or drill down into the data. The visualizations also feel somewhat limited when compared to other tools I’ve used. Another issue is that users frequently suggest improvements, even small and straightforward ones, but these changes either never get implemented or take an extremely long time to appear. At the same time, features that no one requested, like Collections, are introduced instead. It would be great if the company listened more closely to its customers. What do you like best about Smartsheet?

Smartsheet provides visibility, collaboration, and automation. It improves the quality of life for PMs and teams by making projects easier to manage, and it has a real impact on the business by saving time for PMs, team members, and stakeholders.

Key impact: business leaders save 1.5 hours per week, and time to market is reduced by 15%, leading to greater incremental revenue. Let me know if you need any help setting up Smartsheet in your organization. We can create a business case to convince your management how Smartsheet can bring a plethora of benefits at a lower cost than other tools available in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

Commonly mentioned drawbacks of Smartsheet include a steep learning curve when you get into its more advanced features, limited native customization for reporting and dashboards, and the absence of true relational database functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smartsheet: A Modern PMO That Streamlines Complex Projects Effortlessly"
What do you like best about Smartsheet?

Smartsheet gives me an operational command centre that actually scales with the way I work. The platform takes complex projects and translates them into clean, trackable workflows without any of the friction you’d expect from legacy tools. The interface is intuitive enough that onboarding is a non-event, yet powerful enough to handle multi-stakeholder projects end-to-end.

The biggest upside is how quickly I can stand up structured project frameworks, automate repetitive tasks, and maintain real-time visibility across deliverables. It removes noise, reduces admin, and helps me drive initiatives forward with pace and accountability. In short, it feels like a modern PMO in a box. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

The only consistent pain point is that some of the more advanced features sit behind a learning curve that slows down adoption for team members who aren't as tech-comfortable. When scaling cross-department projects, I occasionally have to simplify workflows just to keep everyone aligned. A more seamless integration layer for external tools would also unlock even more end-to-end automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
