That our staff finds it easy and actually useful. We've done scan-back promotions where the store gets a credit back on products sold. But having to spend time & money marketing, reminding and micro-managing staff, creating leaderboards and communicating and waiting for credit reports and credits to be issued is just all too much. Sparkplug puts the incentive in the budtender's hands. They get text reminders daily (adjustable), and they see the leaderboard and how they need to improve. The budtenders get paid directly, and there is a 0% hit on profit margins because we don't have to run a split discount. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing that is crucial for success with SparkPlug is that the VENDOR is on top of re-stocking and helping us stay stocked with this incentive going on. We've sold out of product but missed opportunities to sell more because of lack of stock.
Also, educating your staff is a must at the start-up of all of this. Making sure everyone is enrolled and received the initial message. I went around and checked in with everyone individually at the start so they knew how to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
