## Xpedition Standard Reviews
  ### 1. Xpedition Standard’s Intuitive Modern Interface Performs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reuben D. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Xpedition Standard?**

Xpedition Standard comes in an intuitive and de-cluttered environment creating a modern tool with a fresh feel.

**What do you dislike about Xpedition Standard?**

Legacy users, such as myself, may experience some initial hurdles due to the extensive changes to the UI/UX interface. To help de-cluttering some of the more available features, like setup parameters for example have been moved into a deeper settings menu. There are a few menu items that may benefit from optionally being available out of settings.

**What problems is Xpedition Standard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a product design consultancy, we work on designs across many sectors. We look for adaptability in our EDA tools, which means every aspect of the tool needs to perform—and with Xpedition Standard, it does. There is a lot of power in Xpedition Standard and its ability to integrate across the Siemens suite of tools is now enhanced with the new structure. The whole onboarding experience is much easier, while the predictive UI commands help to reduce design completion time. Together with a great price point this enables a faster ROI and improves time to market.

  ### 2. Consistent GUI and Great Tools, but there are some features missing compared to PADS Pro.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Xpedition Standard?**

The new, consistent GUI ensures that all applications now look the same, making it much easier to work with the applications. Thanks to the modern GUI, new users can adapt to it more easily. The user has more control over what they see in the GUI. The learning AI in the user interface also speeds up work by suggesting the next action. Another valuable addition is the command search. In terms of operation, Xpedition is largely the same as PADS. The customer support is excellent and the online courses make implementation a lot easier.

**What do you dislike about Xpedition Standard?**

Xpedition Standard does not quite measure up to PADS Pro, as for our company there are still some features lacking. For example, it is missing certain capabilities found in AMS and the Drawing Editor. The named license model does not support the way we work, a concurrent license model would fit much better.

**What problems is Xpedition Standard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xpedition enables the creation of PCBs that function as intended.
