**What do you like best about CAM350?**

User friendly tool. DRC runs are very helpful which saves a lot of time. Short nets in IPC checks shows with exact locations which is helpful to clear the shorts in less time in the PCB layout.

**What do you dislike about CAM350?**

Customer response is delayed. Few times due to the glitch in tool importing the files will be an issue.

**What problems is CAM350 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DRC checks are helpful
Back drilling made easier with advanced features
Paneling of 2 or more gerber is easier
Fixing the acid traps and copper slivers within the gerber files are helpful because without editing the PCB design can be editied in gerber and saves fabrication time.

CAM350 offers the best features to check & verify pcb Gerber's in a easy & simpler way.  also advanced features in latest version comes with option backdrilling. manufacturing process can be guaranteed with proper check in CAM350.

Expensive compared to other cam tools & also sometimes autosave doesn't work .

Also if required if any changes then best for this software and import and export data for all data.

Dislike is for this Cam350 is if data heavy copper or some data then loading time is too much high and sometime if data is heavy then some times Cam350 crashes.

Best in this some scripts looks good and easy, also sometimes scripts looks good worked but if you tried to make some scripting in this software then not support in help sections.

If you are looking for solutions to view, edit, make panel, do any change in existing Gerber files, want to check the part/pad details of any Gerber file, CAM 350 is a very helpful & decent tool.

The GUI was not that good but the features are very impressive and advanced. You have multiple options to manage, view edit your Gerber data for any pcb fabrication.

If you are a pcb designer or working in a pcb fabrication house, CAM 350 is a very nice and useful tool for all your design requirements.

Whdn it comes to making a panel for the pcb, editing the Gerber files or to view the Gerber data of any pcb, CAM 350 features a all in one solution for your requirements.

**What do you like best about CAM350?**

In the cam tool, I can open any format of the Gerber file without any problem. It has two options auto import and manual import so for beginner auto-import is set all parameters by default and display Gerber data. the overlap layer is very useful to verify the Gerber files.

**What do you dislike about CAM350?**

For larger Gerber up to 16 layers, it can hang during export the pdf and we have to reopen all the data. the navigation tool is not much handy.

**What problems is CAM350 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can open and edit the Gerber file, verifying the working Gerber with the original Gerber file for any error.

**What do you like best about CAM350?**

The cross-probe is what I like best, with a 2-monitor setup. You can see the same view on both CAM350 & the PCB CAD tool. As for the rest, the user interface is easy to use, to some degree, self-explanatory. The learning curve is very short and you can use the tool right away. Would be challenging if they're loading the older RS274D file. I use CAM350 for artwork review and in several instances, modifications

I don't think I have anything to dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering CAM350:**

I have used other other tools,  Camtastic and GCPreview. While all three are still easy to use, CAM350 had a few more which is I why I liked it.

I use CAM350 to verify the gerber file vis-a-vis with the the same artwork with the PCB CAD, which the crossprobe tool  is truly a time saver.

it is great software and easy to use  also it is fixable and has many advantages, anybody working in the cad /cam  filed knows exactly what I mean  I was used different software to do my job  but really it is the best software in this filed

just only one thing we need to add tool allows us to save our libraries  if the dev team add this feature this software will be the master

Making a panel Gerber using the Mouse Bite concept is very tough but should need in CAM350
continuously received "Not responding" message if working big size files editing.
Need to improve panelization methods and options in better way.

Can do the step&repeat; increase, create and delete features on any layer; overlap layers for proper alignment; change type of exports for proper imports on specific gerber viewers/editors; can generate specific solder mask shapes; create PDFs, DXFs, and more.

**What do you dislike about CAM350?**

Nothing. I have used it for 12+ years and it has always been very helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering CAM350:**

Nice package to own. Helps solve all needs related to gerber data, panelization, and import/export from/to different PCB Design packages, as well as mechanical packages like AutoCad. Can also generate PDFs, ODB++ and more.

**What problems is CAM350 solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most described above. In addition, can easily verify size and location of drill data as well as other layers, like copper, solder mask, and silk screen. Can edit drill table, notes, special board numbering after doing the panelization (another good tool of the package). Have also enlarged/downsized specific features in solder mask. Have overlapped, corrected size and aligned gerbers that open up -or come from different sources- with different line thickness, misaligned or with different size.

I personally used for DFM validation and GERBER file Editing.  Very easy to load GERBER  files in tool and  have simple options to validate the GERBER files and the final result also satisfied. Also I am used for IPC Netlist comparison and validation.

**What do you dislike about CAM350?**

1) Mill data not loaded properly. Every time I changed the units (metric 3,5 or above) and load it manually. 
2) Need to improve panalization methods and options.
3) continuesly received "Not responding" message if working  big size  files editing.

Importing dwg files is missed, i think if it available, the software would be great. And if it can be updated to has database so we canbuild libraries and import them once needed and edits table

I lIke the classic layer view of CAM350, its so easy to navigate

may be more drafting like function, similar to autocad to help in editing gerber files

I like the gerber compare of old and new layers of a certain rev up files, it gives you confidence about your files to be fab. I Like also how you can modify / edit your padstack  and drill file for minor revision needed before fab. It is also easy to check for shorts after netlist extractions.

The layer importing and  exporting all features are very useful.

It's difficult to identify drill format when not known from drill file.

Components can be viewed layerwise so it's easy to identify any footprint issues related to paste and mask. By exporting Gerber's from CAM 350 it's easier for some software to load.

Upsides of using CAM 350 is his simplicity. You can check design really quickly, wich helps a lot, especialy if you are in sales department and when clients need your offers in short notion.

Only downside for CAM 350 is that he is not specilized for HDI designs.

Working in sales department in PCB industry, CAM 350 was very beneficial for fast checking of the design from customer inquiry. You can defintly finish more inquirys using CAM 350, then with other softwares like Incam or Ucam.

It’s very good to input the data for CAM engineer (Standard gerber, Gerber 274X, Gerber X2, ODB++ & etc.)
If use script it’s very easy to work with standard simple Job’s.

Its little complex to edit the data for HDI, complex mask, copper, special technology job.
Drill, copper, mask, & silk editing is little complex with other software (UCAM, Genesis 2000, & Incam)
If data found any problem in net list, Its kill time to identify the netlist problem (broken or short)

Some basic gerber modification are possible but for multi-tasking and DRC solve some critical then other cam software.

Not always is able to import gerber file generated from Altium.
