Thumbtack connects consumers with service providers for your chosen fields. For example, we are a plumbing, heating, and cooling company, so whenever homeowners go to thumbtack looking to be connected with service providers in their area, we are given their information and project details. What do you like best about Thumbtack?

We’re not cold calling customers. Thumbtack gives us leads to connect with customers to try to win jobs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thumbtack?

The customers do not give their phone numbers - I believe we connect with more customers via different platforms (HomeAdvisor, Porch, etc) because we are given a phone number to reach the customer first. We use email as follow up after. With Thumbtack, it’s texting within the app so it feels less personal with the customers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Thumbtack:

Good application for connecting customers; not a lot of interaction with the actual employees of thumbtack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Thumbtack solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Thumbtack?

I like that they were able to get us customers. I think they are a great tool for people starting out in an industry with low prices and people who don't yet have a website or any leads yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Thumbtack?

I think most of the people on Thumbtack are price shopping and typically aren't serious about buying. So spending time sending individual quotes to people who most likely will ignore them isn't sustainable in the long run. Overall, using other methods like SEO and Adwords have been more profitable for our business (and aren't as time-consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
