If I had to describe Tettra in a single word it would be "Easy", its ease of configuration and use is something quite surprising, the fact that it does not require complex configuration processes to be able to use this application is quite practical, its The interface has a fairly user-friendly design which facilitates their learning, in a short period of time we are already experts using this application, the fact that allows us to create a database of information in a collaborative and simple way about the projects or information necessary to carry out a fairly complete and comprehensive approach to the activities that must be carried out within the company by our work team, the speed with which your customer service team responds to any questions or existing problems is something quite surprising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It presents some small errors like any application that make us unable to use the application for a few minutes while we wait for a response from the customer service team, however we have not experienced any other difficulties or problems when using Tettra. Another thing that is quite problematic is the fact that, despite the fact that the customer service team responds fairly quickly when a problem occurs, they have an established service hours and if a problem occurs outside of office hours you have to wait until the next business day to get a satisfactory answer. Clean. Simple. Integrations. Fun to edit pages, honestly. Amazing support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Editing massive single pages can be daunting (they just added a feature to address this, where they show you the headers, but it's in beta). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From the early purchasing conversations to the implementation to our 200+ users (and growing), the partnership with the Tettra team has been outstanding. We've been able to share some of our best practices and they're always willing to listen to (and implement) our feedback. We are heavy users of Slack and the integration with Tettra has been crucial to lifting product knowledge out of conversations and into the awesome search features of Tettra. The ease of creating an article, the ease of search and the user-friendly UI are some of our favorites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because we have so many users, we want to implement it as part of their goals to contribute to our knowledge base. We work in the FinTech space and we have a broad/deep platform. It's been a challenge to get analytics out to help reward and track internal teams' contributions. With that said, the Tettra team has been willing to help us and guide us, but of course we want to be able to do it ourselves. We also would love more of a review/workflow process so that any teammate can write, but certain teammates can validate. We've been able to implement internal policies and would love help from an automation standpoint as Tettra grows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The clean layout of the site. It's very easy to set up, add content, and organize it! It's taken our complex internal processes and make them easily accessible via the Slack integration!
Update/suggestion workflows!!
Owners of pages/content! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only one editor of a page at a time. Not a huge issue but sometimes people have drafts open and forget to close them, causing you to have to reach out to them to ensure you don't lose any changes.
No search tab for users -- would be nice to search for page owners and see all their pages Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tettra allows us to easily create content that is shared and reviewed by our team. We use it in a collaborative manner where different roles and functions keep information fresh. The integration with Slack is very valuable because it streamlines the process of recommending material to be created and updated. Tettra is our Internal Knowledge base and it has been crucial to our Service Team's success while working remote during COVID-19! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We encourage the Service Team to contribute to Tettra (incorporated in their reviews) and there is no dashboard to easily see who is updating content / making suggestions. At the moment, we reach out to you on a quarterly basis for this info. Wish we did not need to.
Since we have a model where there are many content creators, would be nice to have exportable data points from user pages, as well as sort-able columns. I got this information from your team and was informed that it is available for viewing on site, so the exports are on an exception basis. Would be nice to be able to export on my own as I have a group working on consolidating over 65 pages for one user - we are doing it spreadsheet style. Your on site solution does not work for us.
The search feature does not always give you what you are looking for. Allowing a letter to be totally off returns excess results and it is sometimes difficult to narrow down what you want. Maybe the exact matches can populate first on the list? There are moments when I search for a page using the entire page title and it will not come up in the search. Should not be the case.
Drafts can only be worked on by one individual. Would be awesome to have collaborative drafts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Generally, for documenting it's okay as there are not too many competitive products of this nature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Too slow, not user-friendly, old-school navigation. Recently, approached their support to point out an issue that recently started something to do with the hierarchy of their categories that was working fine before. To my surprise and disappointment, their support representative said it worked previously due to a 'glitch' in the system. Since that was fixed, it will no longer work as it did before. The issue is, we can't have sub-categories with the same name, no matter if the same-named sub-category exists inside another parent category. It's like saying, we can't have the same 'filename' two times even if it is in another folder in the Windows file system - funny. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its a great way to document internal processes to make work more efficient across the various teams in our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there was a way for me to see who was already working on a document. A lot of times, I'll grab a suggestion and start working on it, only to find out someone else published the same article a few minutes after I started working on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's so helpful to have every document our team could ever need in one place. The way we've used it, Tettra is like the best kind of Google Drive folder, where everything is visible, nothing gets lost, and nothing is unwieldy.
I also love that Tettra includes templates for commonly used documents across organizations, which helps agile teams move even faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not always easy to see where a document has been edited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The search function is top-notch! At my last job, we used Confluence, and I could never depend on the search function to surface the knowledge I was looking for. With Tettra, I know I can rely on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user interface could be a little bit sleeker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tettra has a great search function, and has improved our cross-team collaboration. I also like that Slack & Tettra can be used together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to assign other suggestions to myself with my current role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Anyone and everyone can easily make content in this wiki
Organization of content into different themes & folders is straight forward
Search function works sooooo well! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like more flexibility for marking and organizing key pages Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I've used a number of other company wiki systems and Tettra is the easiest to use, which means that employees need no training and it just works. We rolled it out to about 7 people and now it has become our corporate standard without any training or implementation work. Usually these systems take a lot of onboarding work with your team to get them going, but this was really simple and easy.

The "recent activity" on the homepage contains a list of most changes made by most people, which if you have an active team it can get to be noisy. This is normal and similar to other systems, but makes the home page less useful than it could be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tettra provides a clean UI that is easy to get accustomed to. The limited hierarchy is a double edged sword: it prevents things from being buried, but means you might need forethought with how you structure things. The slack integration is fantastic and allows you to quickly find/share information with coworkers, as well as flag messages that should be expanded upon and added to the wiki. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It might be nice to allow admins to set a range limit for the hierarchy to slightly more than 3. Furthermore, it might be useful to have a page live in multiple domains. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tettra allows us to easily store all our docs, links, SOPs, guidelines, and more in one place where everyone has access. There are multiple levels to the wiki so we can create top-secret internal docs while also granting access to more public information when people sign in via Slack - Further, docs can be entirely public in case we don't care who is accessing them.
Since it integrates so easily with Slack, I never have to worry about anyone not having access to certain information. They're immediately given access to our wiki as soon as they're given access to our Slack.
Because of this, tagging users and sharing links directly into Slack is simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tettra is doing many things right and the only things that I wish they were doing would require solving the same issues every other text-editor application is working to solve. I'm pleasantly surprised when I find something easily embed in a doc (e.g., Airtable) - and disgruntled when something doesn't embed seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tettra is great. For a long time we were using powerpoint and word documents littered all around Dropbox to manage SOPs and Policy's at Natural Force (https://naturalforce.com).
Enter: Tettra. It was the perfect solution that integrates seamlessly with slack. The slack integration is key, as we are a fully remote team and it allows us to systematize workflows and information very well. Sharing public links to pages also works really well for guests outside our team we need to share information with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't really anything to dislike with the core product. Pricing is fair, support is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's super helpful to have one source of truth to point people to when onboarding new hires. When people have questions about things like our vacation policy, benefits, or even where the printers and scanners are in the building and how to set them up with your laptop, it's really nice to have one centralized location to point people to. Plus, I love the organizational structure of the tool and how easy it is to navigate around! The search bar is my favorite for when I'm not sure where something lives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't run into anything I dislike about Tettra yet! Keep up the great work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tettra is our go-to for sharing internal knowledge. If anyone has a question about benefits and onboarding to how to use the printers the first response is always, "Have you checked Tettra?" 9 times out of 10 the answer can be found there. And if it's not, we know we have to update it. Tettra easy to use as a contributor and very intuitive to navigate has a user. I love it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I actually haven't run into any issues with the product itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that so many of our team's FAQs can be answered by simply sharing a Tettra link. Documenting process has been such a huge part of our ability to scale at Salted Stone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much! The only issues I've ever really experienced can be attributed to user error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- The product is very deliberately built and is optimized for delightful onboarding, employee adoption, and daily usage.
- It's not bloated with features that I need / would want to turn off. In other words, it's responsibly flexible.
- The team building Tettra has spent years not only working on the product but becoming experts in the best practices of knowledge management across companies of all levels of operational maturity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Analytics could be improved but it took one great experience with their support to learn that they can do custom reports while they are working on it a more scalable solution for analytics.
- I'd like collaborative editing of Tettra pages but again learned from their support team that they are also hard at work on that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tettra integrates seamlessly with slack which makes it easy for the team to look up references as they work and share them with one another. The ability to leave comments and edit pages by the entire team makes it easy to upkeep and maintain as the team grows. The history of changes helps us see how documents change and revert to other versions if needed.
Tettra has become an integral part of our team. It's helping us work better remotely and with fewer hiccups despite differences in timezones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Haven't run into any major issues. A suggestion might be a little more control over page suggestions and who can review them, close them, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How collaborative it is. Tettra encourages your staff to knowledge share and collaborate. This is essential when building an informative, relevant wiki that all staff will use. The more information the better, the more invested your staff become in sharing the more likely they are to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Just some of the admin settings :) We would like to lock down who has the ability to invite people. Thats really it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tettra is super user friendly, making it easy to create an internal knowledge base for your company. I got to use it extensively at my previous company to create documentation for my team, and it was a breeze for anyone to create and share something. Whenever anyone had a question, they knew exactly where to look first, Tettra. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't say I had a bad experience, but I will say that for smaller teams Tettra might not be a great fit. My experience was a company of 50-100 which was a perfect size. But, for a small business, they might be able to get by without Tettra. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For a team that's moving quickly, I love having important information centralized in Tettra. It allows me to quickly find answers without disrupting anyones work, and enables me to publish company-wide information in minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The formatting options are limited, and occasionally questions or requests go unanswered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
