**What do you like best about StatSocial?**

What I value most about StatSocial is the level of granularity it offers when building and analysing audiences. The ability to select from a wide range of attributes and behaviours makes it very flexible and powerful for nuanced audience work.

The audience build functionality is particularly strong. It allows for detailed, tailored audience definitions that go beyond surface-level demographics, which is especially useful for strategic planning and deeper insight work.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

At times, the platform can feel a little opaque in terms of how certain metrics are calculated. I do not always feel fully confident in how the index scores and audience percentage figures are derived, which can make it harder to explain or fully trust these outputs in client-facing work.

I also often see the same brands and influencers appearing repeatedly across different audience reports. My sense is that this may be driven by accounts with large historical followings that are less relevant or influential today, although this is just an assumption. Greater clarity or filtering around recency and relevance would help address this.

**What problems is StatSocial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

StatSocial helps solve the challenge of understanding who an audience actually is beyond basic demographics. It allows us to move from broad assumptions about audiences to evidence-based insights around interests, affinities, brand relationships, and online behaviours.

This is particularly valuable when defining or validating target audiences, stress-testing audience hypotheses, and adding depth to audience segmentation work. The platform makes it easier to quickly identify meaningful differences between audiences and to support strategic recommendations with data rather than intuition alone.

**What do you like best about StatSocial?**

I like the great customer service.  The team is always available to answer questions and jump in to trouble shoot when I'm stuck.   I feel like they are real partners in this business, not just a vendor.  I also like the ability to reach multiple platforms within the social network and build custom audiences that can easily go to multiple platforms.   We have had a very easy integration from using the StatSocial platform to build the audiences and sending them to Meta and TTD.  I like the update to increase audience scale before sending to platforms as well.   While I have not used the function, I like that they also have created an export to GPT to help analyze data.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

I do not like that they updated their demo targeting so we cannot target by ethnicity.  This is a big demo for our clients.   There are ways to work around it, overall I really like StatSocial, I just wish they would bring back demo targeting by ethnicity.

**What problems is StatSocial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

StatSocial has helped us expand our reach in Meta with more affinity targeting.   We are also able to reach people for our health targeting in a new way.

**What do you like best about StatSocial?**

I like that our reps are so hands-on with us. They guide us really well and give us great insights. The platform is decently easy to work with. I trust it to give me accurate data. The reps are very conversational and interested in strategizing what works best with our business. It's great to brainstorm with them. They have a lot of insight that sometimes we don't have.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

The website organization could be a little cleaner. An AI integration with summaries or suggestions could be helpful. Most times when we send audiences to our platforms, the volume decreases a lot, and I wish that was more accurate.

**What problems is StatSocial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use StatSocial for audience development, refining our targeting to a more engaged audience. It helps with partnership access and competitor targeting, and provides insights into influencers and first party data.

**What do you like best about StatSocial?**

I like getting in-depth insights with StatSocial to better understand audience data, which often helps validate a hypothesis. The ability to export raw data is useful as it allows me to analyze and compare different audiences, and further complements the data with other sources for more detailed analysis. It's great to use StatSocial with tools like ChatGPT since the unstructured data can be easily compiled for extrapolation and validation. It also complements social listening tools well, allowing me to see how an audience is engaged with certain creators, influences, and media outlets.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

There's a steep learning curve to understand the taxonomy of the StatSocial data output, like multipliers, baselines, and comparing different audiences. However, once understood, it's a powerful tool to leverage.

StatSocial helps build specific audience segments and analyze demographics, eliminating blind spots and reliance on assumptions. It reveals audience overlaps and brand affinities, providing in-depth insights and the ability to export raw data for enhanced analysis.

**What do you like best about StatSocial?**

The level of depth and richness of data that you can get is unmatched. It's very customizable, allows you to drill into highly complex or niche audiences, the customer support and reps are always very quick and responsive, and generally it's easy to use. It's an invaluable, irreplaceable tool for our team.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

The UX of the tool, its navigation, can sometimes be less intuitive. There are also some elements of the taxonomy that could make the tool more efficient and functional for an end-user. For one, the taxonomy could be more frequently updated to account for recency. Existing affinities within the taxonomy could be cleaned/audited more periodically to ensure the categorization, naming, general details of the taxonomy are up to date. It would also be a gamechanger to get more visibility into the makeup of interests & affinities (what specific accounts contribute to certain interests, etc).

**What problems is StatSocial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

StatSocial brings a lot of different tools together under one roof when it comes to our audience analytics. It helps surface meaningful, data-driven insights around our audience segments, it's is a great asset for influencer research, and utilizing first party data.

**What do you like best about StatSocial?**

I love how StatSocial is easy to use and still provides in-depth, impactful insights. The AI export feature is really helpful, allowing me to download raw data and use it with my favorite AI platforms for even more insights. I also appreciate that its setup as a SAAS platform was easy.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

While StatSocial's insights dashboard report is nice online, I'd like to see a report export function that nicely formats information into PowerPoint, which could save users countless hours. While I'd rather keep my subscription fees where they are, perhaps adding a built-in AI feature in the platform would add long-term value. However, I recognize this is expensive and makes sense that StatSocial has added an export function designed for third-party AI platforms.

StatSocial helps us quickly understand and engage with current and potential audiences by identifying who interacts with our brands. It's easy to use and provides in-depth insights. The AI export feature lets us analyze trends and profiles deeply.

**What do you like best about StatSocial?**

I love the insights and everything we are able to gather from StatSocial. The insights help us identify and understand more about our personas and gain great insights into people for brands and certain influencers. I really appreciate the Expansion feature, which allows us to expand to the amount we want, making audience scaling effective, especially when running things in a DSP. The ability to play around with different segments and send our segments to The Trade Desk is also very beneficial. Additionally, the team we work with at StatSocial is great and very supportive, making the initial setup pretty easy.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

I think the insights via the API would be great. We would love to show more of that data to our customers.

**What problems is StatSocial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use StatSocial for reliable social data to target individuals and gain insights into brand interactions, helping us understand behaviors. The 'Expansion' feature aids in scaling audiences, while 'Insights' allows us to explore and segment personas effectively.

**What do you like best about StatSocial?**

I like the detailed insights from StatSocial. The clusters always help in understanding audience attributes and comparing them with another group. The brand data is great, and I love how we can drill into specific brands across a plethora of categories and delve into the podcast and influencer data. The initial setup was also very easy for my team.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

The index data is a bit hard to interpret, especially when used with other audience platforms like MRI Simmons. The exports can be challenging to navigate, and I wish there were more options for customizing the export format. The index data has a vast range, such as 1.1K similarity, which can be difficult to explain to stakeholders and often raises questions.

I use StatSocial to understand target audiences better, informing strategy and campaign planning. The detailed insights and audience clusters help compare attributes, and the brand, podcast, and influencer data provide deep dives into specific categories.

**What do you like best about StatSocial?**

It has a very user friendly interface and offers the ability for users to harness their creativity and build audiences in a truly custom way. The ability to pull in users across a broad variety of social platforms to maximise reach while being able to resolve and deduplicate those users effectively is another great feature. The Insights Reports contain a rich variety of data, the Excel export function is very useful and the dashboards are easy to navigate and pull insights from.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

The Taxonomy could be broader - especially in terms of brands and influencers beyond the US market, so I hope this continues to develop over time so that "reach" for certain interest areas and brand categories can be more meaningful in markets outside of the US, UK etc. Offering a wider variety of custom baselines to benchmark audiences against in Insights Reports would be great too because currently there is only a limited set of market baseline audiences available in dashboards to compare your audiences to in an Insights Report. The keying in of a list of handles when building social parameters into audiences could be better too. Often a significant % of handles fail to populate properly and have to be manually re-keyed which can be time consuming and inefficient for a user.

1) Development and delivery of audiences for activation for client marketing campaigns - it allows us to creatively custom build audiences to deliver strong marketing results for clients
2) Insights on fan audiences for media and sports clients - the platform allows us to build and analyse key fan audiences to present actionable insights to clients

I love the accuracy of StatSocial's brand insights and talent demographics. StatSocial is valuable to me, specifically the brand insights and talent demographics, by allowing me to understand which brands my influencers index the highest against so I can help get these influencers brand deals. StatSocial's data is way better, and the time it takes to make an audience is way faster. The initial setup was a breeze!

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

There can be better loading times and performance issues and a lot of irrelevant brands. The loading times add more friction to my experience when on the platform and make my tasks take longer. Just makes my day to day longer.

I use StatSocial for brand insights and influencer demographics, solving the problem of unknown brand affinities and audience demographics. It helps me understand which brands influencers align with to secure brand deals.

It allows us to understand more about consumers beyond just their gender, age, and location, and helps us understand them as people. Additionally, the initial setup of StatSocial was very easy.

**What do you like best about StatSocial?**

I love the ability to create a custom audience based on so many options from demographics to followers to affinities. The StatSocial taxonomy of interests and preferences is incredibly helpful. And, the insights from the AI-generated Audience personas and quick summaries as well as the ability to download data make the platform quick and easy to use. We use the platform constantly for better understanding an audience and who/what influencers them.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

While the taxonomy is incredibly robust, sometimes we find the topics we need are still missing (though you can request their addition!).

**What problems is StatSocial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

StatSocial helps us understand the audiences a brand is reaching. It puts persona development at your fingertips and provides insights on what matters to an audience.

The filters, such as demographics and brands, are very helpful for understanding the complexities of certain audiences. These features allow me to break down large complex audiences into smaller, more specific ones, which is very valuable in terms of narrowing down.

The clusters are slightly confusing. It would be better if there were clearer explanations or tooltips on how the clusters are created.

StatSocial is easy to use and set up. Their support team is quick to help when we have questions. We use it often to find specific business audiences for our surveys, and it works well with our email campaigns. The platform helps us reach the right professional groups and consistently gets good response rates. It's become a go-to tool for our research projects.

The main challenge is that highly specific audience segments can sometimes be smaller than expected, which occasionally requires adjusting our targeting criteria.

It's perfect for a quick insights report that I can share cross-functionally AND a deep dive into audiences for my most senior analyst.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

Sometimes I have trouble downloading because of the way I have to check a box and move a slider. It errors on me quite a bit.

**What problems is StatSocial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We onboarded Stat Social for vetting influencers and evaluating potential collaboration partners, but our usage has grown to include minning audience insights for media planning and segment building.

Plus, the team is so responsive if we can't figure something out. The initial setup was very easy too, making the whole process seamless.

I'm eager to see social platforms expand as the tool evolves. Updating for recency is needed—Ellen Degeneres isn't a recent influencer for every single audience!

I really appreciate that StatSocial offers various demographics, interests, and other filters for targeting audiences. The output is very fast, which is great. The clusters are also helpful for my analysis. Additionally, I find it easy to filter down to very specific audiences and build reports quickly. The initial setup was very easy too.

I think adding an ethnic demographic would be great. Some audiences are specific to ethnicities, and having the capability of adding that as a filter would be good.

I use StatSocial for understanding key insights around very specific audiences, creating indexes for different passions, and filtering down to specific audiences quickly with various demographics and interests.

I like StatSocial for its ease of use and how it seamlessly aids in persona building by understanding social behaviors and capturing device IDs based on social engagement. I also appreciate that they're always on the lookout for new partnerships, which helps to bring in more users across various social platforms. The initial setup was very easy, making the start-up process smooth.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

I would say delivery time. Audience delivery specifically, it takes much longer for an audience to deploy to our DSP, sometimes 2 weeks.

I use StatSocial to understand social behaviors from users and grab device IDs based on social engagement as part of our persona-building tool.

I think the UI can be a little laggy and slow. Or changes don't always seem to take.. I also wish you could combine your audience parameters differently. The "include" "exclude" with arrows can be confusing - I feel like a boolean type setup would come across better.

StatSocial stands out for its powerful and intuitive audience clustering capabilities. The platform makes it easy to build custom audiences quickly, whether you’re starting with a topic, an influencer, or a set of behaviours. I particularly value the flexibility to build different types of audiences based on the specific insights I’m after—be it psychographics, influencer affinity, or brand interests.

The automatic insights generation is another strong point. The way the platform surfaces relevant interests, brands, and influencers followed by an audience is both fast and well-formatted, making it easy to extract value without excessive manual analysis. The interface itself is clean and user-friendly, which makes the entire experience feel quite seamless.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

First, I’d like to see more granularity in audience building, particularly with demographics. Currently, the available filters feel somewhat limited for creating highly tailored audiences.

Second, there’s occasionally a lack of clarity around the logic being applied during audience creation. It's not always obvious whether a condition is being treated as a filter (narrowing the audience) or an inclusion (adding to it). A more transparent logic builder or visual indicator would help.

Lastly, when analysing followers of multiple creators, adding them individually can be a bit of a chore. It’s a minor gripe, since bulk analysis isn’t something we do often, but having a bulk upload feature would save time when needed.

**What problems is StatSocial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

StatSocial is helping us streamline and elevate our social media and influencer strategy work. Traditionally, gathering audience insights would involve manually pulling data from multiple platforms, which is time-consuming and often inconsistent. StatSocial simplifies this by bringing all those insights into a single, unified platform, saving significant time and effort.

It enables us to uncover meaningful audience behaviours, interests, and influencer affinities at scale, which previously would have required much heavier lift across individual social platforms. That consolidated view allows us to craft more robust, data-informed strategies.

We also use StatSocial as a complementary tool to our proprietary systems. It provides an independent lens through which we can evaluate two key scenarios:

Audience-first exploration – Starting with a specific audience segment, we can identify the influencers and brands they care about, which gives us a strong foundation for strategic planning and partner identification.

Influencer-first analysis – When we already have a list of influencers in mind, we can use StatSocial to quickly analyse and understand their followers in a holistic way—demographics, interests, affinities—before moving into vetting and activation.

I like how easy it is to pull data from statsocial, and how applicable/flexible it is across industries and types of social media. I like the breadth of information available on statsocial and the summary graphics page, which is visually very helpful. The customer service team is always very responsive.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

I wish that Statsocial had clearer labels. I have to email sometimes to understand what certain sections or personalities mean (e.g., B2B, personas). I also think that down the road it would be helpful to have "pre-set" audiences in stat-social. For example, if I want to look at a sustainability audience specifically, I could filter on for all of the relevant variables for sustainability across sections instead of parsing manually through each section to find what I need.

Really helps us hone in on who our clients should be targeting and why. Solves the mystery of who the customers are--without having to run a full survey. StatSocial is also more nimble than surveys--so we get a quick sample and can build an audience much faster.

The data they provide is of high quality and has the right level of granularity which is needed to develop key consumer insights for audience development and personalization use cases. **What do you like best about StatSocial?**

StatSocial can target audiences that no other vendor/partner can. Social media targeting is great for getting customers of specific brands as well as reaching specific job titles and those hard to reach/niche audiences. StatSocial also has effective affiliations. We have had particular success with targeting owners ofspecific car brands. Last but certainly not least, StatSocial has tremendous customer support. The team is responsive, helpful and transparent. The targeting platform is also straightforward and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about StatSocial?**

There is no company size or company revenue targeting which are common parameters for many of our studies. We have also had many frequent trouble shooting issues, particularly slow loading times for generating and delivering audiences. When this happens, I have to email the team and wait for the issue to be resolved. While their response time is quick, it is frustrating when it delays our fast-paced timeline and costs us, and you, potential completes.

I like that StatSocial provides an easy way to discover an audience's interests and media consumption. I also like that the tool allows us to build an audience based on social media followers or job titles.

The new insights report design is somewhat clunky. I find it easier to download the reports as an Excel document and navigate in there. I also wish that StatSocial could build an audience based on Instagram and TikTok followers rather than just engagers. Some of the media types and attributes seem outdated, I would like to know how often these are recrawled and when new attributes are added.

Useful audiences with a lot of interesting levers to pull. Easy to push audiences to platforms once you know the process. Unique audiences that other platforms don't have. Reasonable cost structure.

Sometimes can be hard to find more niche audiences. Can also be time consuming to add all the possible audiences you may need. Takes a while to create audiences and reports.
