**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

What I ended up liking the most about Smartsheet was how flexible it was without feeling overly complicated for everyday work. We mainly used it to keep track of IT tickets, feature requests and sprint work, so instead of updates being scattered across emails or chats, everything stayed in one place. Filtering by priority, status or sprint made it much easier to see what actually needed attention.
Another thing that helped was built-in automation and forms. Simple reminders, status updates and approval flows cut down on a lot on manual follow-ups that people usually forget. It still feels familiar enough that someone who is comfortable with spreadsheet can pick it up fairly quickly, but it adds just enough project management features to make day to day tracking much easier.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Reporting across multiple sheets could be a bit more straightforward. There were a few times where building dashboard or summary reports took more setup that I expected. Once everything was configured it worked well, but getting there involved a bit of trial and error. the mobile experience is fine for checking updates, although I still prefer using the desktop version when I need to make bigger changes.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we started using Smartsheet, project updates, bug tracking and feature requests were spread across spreadsheets, emails and chat messages. It was easy for things to get missed especially when several people were updating progress at the same time. Having everything in one shared sheet made it much easier to see priorities, ownership and the current status without asking around.
And what helped me the most was having a single place to track from start to finish. Automation reminders, forms and dashboards reduced a lot of manual follow-ups  and status meeting became shorter because everything was looking at the same information instead of different versions of a spreadsheet.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like that you can start with one of the templates from the template library. From there you can tailor the templates to your needs. I also like that you can leave comments and have conversations on specific tasks or line item in a sheet. Lastly, another great feature is the connectivity between different sheets (ability to link them).

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I sometimes find it hard to navigate in the different sections or (folder) hierarchy of Smartsheet. With Portfolios, workspaces and templates, it can get a little confusing, especially when you haven't used Smartsheet for a while. I like the timeline view of a sheet, but haven't figured out yet how to filter my project plan tasks so only the top / high level tasks are shown instead of all.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet is helping me keep track of my project information, incl. supporting documents like stakeholder lists, RIDD logs, and benefits calculations (if you get a little creative on how to use a sheet). It also does a good job at dashboarding and showing relevant information in a dashboard.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet has a familiar UI for anyone who has used office products and is very easy to use for someone with basic computer skills. It is approachable, yet it has a lot of functionality and integrations that make it a powerful tool for project management, database management, and other functions that take a lot of work to get Sheets or Excel to match. The online training is excellent, and the ability to collaborate, attach, and communicate works very well. Our team has found that the browser-based version works very quickly and smoothly. We have only just started using the AI features, but they have already proven to save time and increase accuracy in our documents.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I have found the desktop app to be fairly slow compared to the android app and browser based version. Our projects require jumping between a lot of documents, and the app can slow things down

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smartsheet has allowed our team to log work at much higher detail with much higher consistency. Comment history in each row is very helpful for audits, file uploads for context has also been very helpful to ensure everyone is looking at the same thing.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I have earned a reputation as "The Automation Magician" for my ability to transform outdated manual procedures into highly efficient, modernized workflows. I have extensive experience optimizing complex financial operations and have independently developed over 4,400 sheets, dashboards, and reports in Smartsheet, frequently utilizing advanced logic like INDEX(COLLECT) formulas to solve intricate reporting challenges and cross-sheet formulas to eliminate repetitive and continuous manual data entry that increased labor needlessly.

I also loved creating trackers that enabled seamless collaboration with intake forms, automations, auto-populated columns for data, cross-sheet formulas to auto-populate data, responsible parties notified only when they needed to be, and essentially creating an ERP System for each Smartsheet Workspace I created that also had beautiful Dashboards that captured all the relevant metrics/KPIs, included relevant links, included custom images to direct the eyes the way the data should be followed to understand, having a Report, and just making each Workspace a wonderful home.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

Too difficult to ensure data integration of both the source sheet and the archive sheet to capture true and accurate metrics and KPIs.

Any column that is added to a source sheet should automatically be created in the archive sheet to ensure that they mirror each other precisely since they are linked. It would eliminate so much data distortion from inexperienced users.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual Data Entry, Ability to Prevent Needless Meetings When Sheets are masterful in ensuring alignment with the entire team and allowing them to have visibility to and understanding of what needs to be done.

After hearing and seeing months of 100+ emails between dealers & Install Team, II created an easy Intake Form for Dealers to Submit Answers and Pictures that would funnel into our Tracker and that only notified parties when Form was completed and then they could have all the information to know which Brand Wall to Schedule Correct Retrofitting Install. It was used for three years and it enabled streamlined and easy process for both the dealers and our team.

I like Smartsheet not because it benefits me, but how it can be used to benefit everyone.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

Smartsheet provides real-time updates to our most valuable clients through intuitive dashboards, custom reports, and collaborative sheets that multiple team members can be maintaining. It's reliability, up-time, and the frequent additional of new features has kept us using it for years. It has been an excellent ROI.

Smartsheet integrates seamlessly with our ERP and planning software to pull in relevant data across our projects. The Smartsheet staff and support team have always been responsive and their certified experts have provided guidance for developing dataflows and automating our standard operating procedures.

Though we haven't dove deep into its AI features, we are glad to see them begin to be implemented and it has made the generation of quality formulas much easier.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

At time we are working on projects with thousands of lines of data. It would be great if Smartsheet continued to expand the number of rows/columns that can be tracked in a sheet. This also applies to the numbers of rows in the reports feature.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company maintains medical equipment lists for new hospital builds. Excel documents were previously used, but they quickly became outdated. Smartsheet provides our team the ability to make on the spot adjustments that keep our clients informed on the status of their product throughout the entire lifecycle.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I really appreciate the flexibility it offers with being able to utilize different formats for different organizational needs. I also appreciate its high performance and its accessibility in terms of ease of use and learning the different features of the software. When I first onboarded to my role, I found it easy to learn how to use the software. I am unfamiliar with the price of the software but feel like its ROI is fair and reasonable based on what I get out of its use daily. I have not interacted with any AI/intelligence from smartsheet.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I was a bit disappointed to find out that we are no longer able to make folders to organize sheets within our dashboard. I used this feature heavily previously and would love if it could be brought back! I also have not discovered how to integrate/access the AI/Intelligence features associated with smartsheet yet so maybe that could be made a bit more clear.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly use it to organize work flows, whether that is for my general tasks or specific responsibilities associated with my position. I really appreciate how I can integrate outlook emails and other types of attachments into the rows of my sheets and reports as this helps keep me organized and performing my job well.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like how customisable it is as you can make your own templates so the software becomes familiar. Additionally we have it integrated in our entire company workflow , so it is how we assign tasks to each other, give feedback and make project programs. Due to this it has become our source of truth on project status and is very reliable (as long as people update it of course). When I first joined the company I was trained internally and now I feel I know the systems so much that I am the one providing training!

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I don’t like the new pricing structure because it’s now difficult to collaborate with our clients and suppliers via Smart Sheets. The new payment models haven’t helped at all. Even as a contributor, there isn’t much they can see or do, which makes using the product less effective and not the best experience overall.

I like how easy it is to visualise what I need to do everyday. Makes it very easy to keep doing my work without worrying I am missing or forgetting anything.

I like how easy it is to track projects, assign tasks, and monitor progress in real time with Smartsheet. It gives me the flexibility to customize my workflows according to our business needs without needing advanced technical knowledge. It's really valuable for helping our team clearly define who owns what tasks and responsibilities, especially since our environment often involves servicing more than one client.

One thing that could be better is the learning curve for new users, because some of the features like automation and reporting may take some time to fully understand. Also, the cost can become expensive for smaller teams.

Smartsheet helps me solve operational challenges, and I use everyday to enter data that is meant to be for anogther team and sent to us, so overall it akes collaboration with teams outside of ourse very easy. It makes it easy to track projects, assign tasks, and monitor progress in real-time, allowing team members to clearly define responsibilities, which is vital as many of us service more than one client.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I like it's convenience of being able to access everyone in the company and it's ease of use. It is a very useful, very straightforward platform and I'm glad we're able to utilize it in my company. The UI interface is easy to understand and work with. The performance of smartsheet is extremely well, though we have had a time where it had some issues, it was very short-term, and we have had no issues since. Getting onboarded with the program was extremely easy, and there is significant assistance through the company to do so. Though I have not used the AI features for the work that I do, I know that it provides a significant advantage to other services due to this access. I am unsure how much the pricing is for the program company wide, but I believe it is certainly sufficient for the benefit that it provides us. The cost is absolutely worth the benefit. The program integrates very well into the other software programs we use to perform our daily duties.

There is nothing I dislike about using smartsheet, it is easy to access, extremely useful, and wonderful to use. I have no complaints!

It creates an easier way to communicate with other members of the company, whether inside or outside my department. It creates a specific location for necessary work without crowding up our flows in other software, and creates a seamless, easy to use list, compiling all the work that needs to be done.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

SmartSheet is the easiest and most comprehensive system for sharing documents across a large work group.  Our organizational structure requires different schedules for different teams and locations ranging across the state of Texas.  This means we won't always be together for meetings or face-to-face interactions.  SmartSheet makes is easy for us to be able to keep each other updated, without the use of antiquated or obsolote systems.  SmartSheet's customizable formatting has helped us create a tool that works for sharing information across multiple teams without the need to always get on a call or email thread or find time to meet each other.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I feel that the integrations within SmartSheet could be more complete.  It would be great if the offloading of documents from other platforms was easier or quicker in performance.  Sometimes SmartSheet's peformance can be a little slower and difficult to navigate.  Overall this is a minor issue, in regards to performace issues.

I would love to see some further development in the AI systems with SmartSheet.  AI assistance would be great with document organization or workflow type of problems.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SmartSheet helps communication through a small team with different schedules and helps us stay organized.  We use SmartSheet for our COGS/POS pricing, our event coordination, ordering/recieving, HR documents and onboarding/training materials.  It is useful for a complete business program in a small business with limited home office capability.  We don't have a home office with admin keeping track of many of these items for us, so as a small team we have to do it on our own, which would be much more difficult without SmartSheet.

Smartsheet has become a critical part of our game operations and event management workflow. We use it to coordinate game-day staff, manage event timelines, track promotions, organize sponsor activations, and communicate across multiple departments. The spreadsheet-style interface makes it easy for both experienced and new users to navigate, while dashboards and reports provide quick visibility into the status of projects and upcoming events.
The automation capabilities have significantly improved our efficiency by automatically sending reminders, collecting information through forms, routing approvals, and updating stakeholders without requiring manual follow-up. This has reduced administrative workload and helped ensure nothing falls through the cracks during busy game days and event periods.
Performance has been consistently reliable, even when managing large amounts of operational information across multiple teams and events simultaneously. Smartsheet's integrations and reporting tools help keep everyone aligned and working from the same source of truth, reducing miscommunication and duplicate work.
From a return-on-investment perspective, the time savings alone have justified the platform. Tasks that previously required multiple emails, spreadsheets, and meetings can now be managed through a single system. Onboarding new staff members is straightforward thanks to the familiar interface and extensive training resources available.
The newer AI capabilities show promise for helping teams build formulas, summarize data, and generate insights more quickly. Overall, Smartsheet has improved organization, communication, accountability, and execution across our game operations department, making it easier to deliver a consistent and professional fan experience at every event.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

The mobile experience, while functional, could be improved for event staff working in fast-paced environments. Faster navigation between forms, reports, and sheets, along with more offline capabilities, would be beneficial for teams operating in arenas, venues, and live-event settings where connectivity can sometimes be inconsistent.

Smartsheet solves several operational challenges for our game operations department by providing a centralized platform for planning, communication, task management, and reporting. Prior to using Smartsheet, information was often spread across emails, spreadsheets, documents, and individual team members, making it difficult to track progress and maintain accountability.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

The platform makes complexity feel manageable by automating routine tasks through very simple steps. I can create forms and use different levels of authentication for editing, sharing, and viewing sheets. It also allows people who aren’t part of the workspace to submit forms, which is helpful.

That said, I’d like more UI/UX-focused functionality in forms. For example, it would be great if dropdown menu options could include logos or small images, or if there were generally more refinement in how forms look and behave. I’d also prefer stronger auto-save, so I don’t have to save my work every time.

Performance is good for a small or medium-sized company like ours, but it would be better if changes didn’t take so long to refresh. Pricing is decent, and the ROI has been good for us. Integration, however, has been disappointing, as I’ve only been able to get it working with Microsoft Teams.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

A few things I dislike are the complexity of integrating with apps that are already supported, and the limited options to integrate with both ERP and MES systems like Teams, Dynamics, etc. Another issue is that you have to manually save changes, since they don’t auto-save. I’d love to see that improved in the future. I’d also like more flexibility to be creative on the UI/UX side when designing the forms.

Automations the approval process between teams and sharing and tracking CAPEX and OPEX projects.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

I use Smartsheet daily as the main tool for project management and control, and my experience has been extremely positive. The platform offers an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, allowing teams from different areas to track activities, deadlines, and responsibilities in an organized and transparent manner. The flexibility in creating and customizing spreadsheets, dashboards, and reports is excellent, as I can adapt the tool to the specific needs of each project. The automation features significantly contribute to reducing manual activities, increasing productivity, and minimizing operational errors. I also love the real-time visibility of project progress, which facilitates the monitoring of indicators, the identification of deviations, and making quicker and more assertive decisions. Additionally, the ability to centralize information, documents, approvals, and controls in a single environment is very valuable to me. The initial setup process was excellent, super fast, and easy to adapt.

We use it to manage projects and track tasks across our team. Automatic email notifications are sent when a new entry is added or when a task is assigned, helping everyone stay updated without manual follow-up. 
We have not integrated it to any other software, but I would like to see if that is possible and how. 
I also like that multiple files can be attached directly to rows very quickly and team members can add comments on specific line items, making communication and document management much more organized. Overall, it helps us keep project information in one place and improves workflow efficiency.
Performance wise I think its at par of expectations
Have not used AI / intelligence features of smartsheet.

New users may need some time to understand all the features and set up workflows correctly. The pricing can also become expensive as the number of users grows, especially for larger teams.

OMG, you basically need a form or sheet given to you by your manager just to add anything to the sheet. When I check it on mobile, it always shows a date from like a year earlier, and I have to tap the day for it to jump to the current day I’m on. It also doesn’t give me a full month calendar view—only day by day—and it sucks. On top of that, the UI feels really clunky. The name gets cut off, and I can’t make it smaller or adjust it so it’s easier to read.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just to let me know what I am doing for the month/week, but I wish you could integrate it into Google Calendar so I can have it overlay on what meetings I have and vice-versa, that would be nice.

The creativity to make things that work for us.  We are a rock-yard, so nothing is tailored to us; everything we have tried isn't beneficial or is needs more than we need.  Smartsheets allow us to make things that fit our needs, user-friendly but functional. After the years it has taught us knew things also to increase our productivity.

Sometimes you need help to create genuinely dedicated sheets.  It has possibilities beyond what one can think of, but it requires expert help to accomplish them.  AI has helped to close that gap but I do still feel that we don't know the full potential.

This program has been a game changer. It keeps everyone in the loop about what’s happening in real time. We used to run into situations where only one person knew the status of a shipment, but now we can all look it up ourselves. There’s no need to bother that person, and we’re also not as dependent on their availability or presence. It’s even started to help my boss understand how important it is to keep evolving for our growth, and the support we get has helped win him over a little bit at a time.

I use Smartsheet to track my projects in a nice and neat visual way, and I like sharing this with my managers so they can assist in prioritizing tasks if needed. It makes it much easier and quicker to create a nice visual table, and it instantly shows it in other views, like a Gantt chart. I appreciate the ease of use, especially because conditional formatting is very simple to set up and all the possible variables are listed, making the setup very fast. The automations possible with Smartsheet are very good, and I plan to make more use of them soon. The initial setup was very easy, and the sharing and creation of tables is very quick.

I love that you can essentially create living documents that can be accessed from anywhere and anyone can be granted access to them. It works great for us because we can conduct project reviews every week and put all notes and follow up items within it so anyone can reference those notes during the week. We put individual stakeholders into columns as responsible individuals and the UI makes it easy for choosing pre-set individuals

At least at my company, it's a challenge to get between project documents. I would like to be able to view all the projects even if I can't open them all. Basically I just have to go to the home page to access any of the projects I've accessed recently, but if there's a project I'm added to, I have to ask for the link rather than go through a tree of projects and access it that way.

Smartsheet helps our company stay on the same page when it comes to projects by making all the notes from meetings visible and accessible to project associates. I like that Smartsheet is an online shared platform that makes it easy to collaborate with others, and provides a wide range of tools/ functions that help with my day to day tasks. for example, I love that you can save specific filter presets. I manage 8 different accounts, all with different data/ information that is unique to each. I like being able to have saved filters that makes analyzing data more efficient. The integration is also very convenient. having the option for the desktop app and the web browser allows me to easily switch tabs on my browser, or for a more focused experience to use the app. The platform is very strait forward to use, and my co-workers before me were always using Smartsheet, so it was easy to learn the mechanics and getting set up. Although I have not yet used the customer support services. I feel that the pricing is pretty reasonable for a professional business tool, and I definitely get my use out of Smartsheet to justify purchasing it every year. I have not personally encountered any AI intelligence while using Smartsheet yet.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

In terms of performance, I have noticed that the web version is a bit slow at times, especially with other users in the spreadsheet. However, I am often working on fairly dense spreadsheets with a few thousand rows of data to load. Also a few weeks ago when I was attempting to login at the start of the day it wasn't recognizing my email and password combination. I attempted to reset my password but every time I went into the Microsoft sign in page it said there was an issue signing in. So now every time I need to sign in it requires me to get a code sent to my inbox that I need to copy in order to sign in. A minor inconvenience to how I used to log in but still an inconvenience.

**What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I know that Smartsheet is implementing AI into the software progressively, but as of right now how I use Smartsheet I am not getting a lot out of their AI implementations. But in the coming future when AI is more prominent I am hoping it will help me/ give me recommendations of how to manage things better in my workbooks.

Data visualization hasn't had many improvements in my 6+ years using Smartsheets. The options are minimal and not always the best visuals. I love how easy these are to learn. Since I’ve never been the best with forms or spreadsheets, I was able to figure out how to use it pretty quickly. The automations are also straightforward and easy to set up. The pricing for our enterprise account is very competitive and I have been able to gain so much time back at work. I have been able to automate processes that have been tedious and ensure accuracy of information. My team is actively now using the dashboards as well as the workflows and it's been great. We have integrated it with out site and registration portals and the results are almost immediate. So far haven't needed any support or onboarding assistance for setting any of it up.

Sometimes it lags when you have been in it too long.

I think Smartsheet makes it easy to create and automate customer- or employee-facing forms for collecting and monitoring data. It’s very user-friendly, and you don’t have to be especially tech-savvy to use it.
We use it internally for tracking customer issues, customer feedback on service performed, as well as pulling system data and sharing it in multiple ways.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

One limitation I’ve personally experienced with Smartsheet at All N One is that the platform can be glitchy at times. For example, we created a customer issue tracking form that is supposed to collect issue details from customer service and automatically notify our production and operations managers. However, when users click the form link, it often opens the backend editing view instead of the actual front-facing form. The only workaround is usually closing out of it and reopening it several times until it loads correctly. While Smartsheet is useful for organizing workflows and communication, issues like this can create frustration for employees and slow down day-to-day operations.

We use it to collect customer data, whether it’s service issues or feedback on how we performed a job. When the job is complete, the customer receives an automatic notification prompting them to rate how well we did. Overall, we use it in many aspects of our day-to-day business, and we also use it for weekly reports from our sales agents.

The features I find most useful are dashboards, automations, reports, and shared sheets. Together, they let me track tasks, deadlines, and overall project progress in one place. Automations are especially helpful because they save time and reduce the need to send lots of manual reminders or updates.

The AI isn't just a flashy gimmick; it is a genuine time-saver built with a "human-in-the-loop" approach, meaning it always gives you a clear explanation of its logic and asks for your approval before altering your sheets.

I am not involved on price but all i can say is the job that we do day by day besis.

Easy to understand so i have not request any support from the team but I am sure the support team would be helpful.

Before I look elsewhere, I try it in Smartsheet. The automations, the formulas, and more allow me to remove Excel from all of our projects and propel out work forward.

It has limitations but Smartsheet keeps reiterating and changing and making it better. I do NOT like the Primary column. I never use it. I hide it everytime. I do not like that we cannot have tabs like excel. It would make it so much easier to connect sheets, and toggle between them.

Smartsheet is a better version of Excel for project management - it improves upon the experience by allowing for milestones, health scores and features that are needed for project managers. Very straightforward and simple to use - a good alternate or solution for project plans that can be easily shared and understood throughout the organization.

It can be cumbersome to use and rigid by nature - some of the rigidity is helpful like locking down rows and restricting edits. However, this rigidity and grouping of items can be cumbersome and no method to do so in bulk. Also, importing of sheets and project plans can be hit or miss as sometimes they import well but often it is not matching the branding or style and takes more time to update it for our preferences than to do so manually.

It is a very useful tool which has most functions from Excel and can share with other parties outside of our own organizations we work with.

Not all Excel functions are covered.

When I aim to make a display with Smartsheet, it is limited by the in-built functions of the Dashboard. With the limitation, I then have to work around the in-built functions rather than displaying the summarized result in the way I wish to do. It does not help with user experience or our presentation.

Format of the cells such as date, does not support customization, which is a big down.

It also provides plenty of templates to get started with the more complex formats, such as Project Plans, which creates the required columns and dependency links. I also really like the Forms feature, where you can create a form to collect data, and send the link out to anyone, irrespective of whether they have a Smartsheet license or not.

Being able to upload documents and images  to sheets for easy access is very helpful. Organizing sheets by overarching category is also very helpful.

The more complex your smartsheets, the more difficult it is to keep track of all the moving parts. A cell may be linked through 5+ different sheets and tracking down the origin of the cell to modify it is sometimes annoying. Manual data entry can also be very tedious (are the data processing AI integrations that can be included?)

What I like best about Smartsheet is that it gives users a realistic path from spreadsheets into actual workflow management without forcing a complete change in how people work. The interface feels familiar enough that office staff and field users can learn it quickly, but it still has powerful, feature rich automation and reporting capabilities.

Smartsheet automations have provided the biggest workflow improvement for us. Being able to trigger notifications, status updates, approvals, and reminders automatically cuts down heavily on manual follow-up and missed communication. Smartsheet reports enable us to see a specific view of a sheet without having to manager multiple sheets. 

The integrations are also a major benefit. Connecting workflows with Gmail, Google Drive, and other business systems helps keep information centralized.

Unexpectedly, one of the biggest advantages has been improving accountability and visibility between office staff and the field. Everyone can see current statuses, updates, attachments, and notes in one place, which reduces confusion and duplicate communication significantly.

Smartsheet has been an effective and affordable solution for us as our company has grown.

Although the table view is a significant improvement, I’d like to see a wider selection of formatting options within the table view in the future, along with a more functional calendar/Gantt format without having to obtain additional add-ons.

I also really value the accessibility of the platform. Being cloud-based means I can access important project information from anywhere, whether I’m in the office, on-site, or working remotely.

Another standout feature is the visibility it gives across multiple developments and teams. It keeps everyone aligned, improves accountability, and makes reporting and tracking progress far more efficient.

It has some limitations for customization. Customization of the sheets toolbar is limited, you can only make certain changes to the whole row versus individual cells and vice versa. I think it lacks a little in the timeline aspect as well, in order to automize it.

The most useful aspect for me is the ability to share parts of the projects with specific collaborators, who can contribute even without necessarily having a Smartsheet account.

Moreover, the ease of use from the start, the different views, and the dynamic summaries offer a toolkit that genuinely helps and saves time. Not to mention the performance and the fact that it is used from a browser: it is cross-platform and therefore viewable anywhere.

Also, the uploading of content from Excel was immediate, allowing me to effortlessly integrate pre-existing parts of the project. The price is certainly competitive when compared to other solutions on the market.

The AI allows you some simplifications, such as graphically displaying project details, but in my opinion, it still needs to grow.

Finally, the support is extremely fast and competent. I especially appreciate the new features that continue to enrich the offering: sometimes it's almost difficult to stay updated.

One aspect I would like to see further developed is the management of project tasks. For example, the ability to link specific tasks in an end-to-end manner and not just end-to-start.

Project dashboards and task sheets provide a great workspace with well-structured tables and clear organization. I’m also happy to see that Smartsheet continuously updates both the platform and the dashboards.

One thing I especially appreciated was how responsive they were to feedback — after I reported that some numbers in dashboard charts were overlapping and hard to read, the issue was fixed within about a month. That really impressed me. Now my project dashboards are much clearer, readable, and easier to work with.

Sometimes backup processing can take longer than expected. Also, some of my colleagues occasionally had issues logging in, although I personally have never experienced this problem myself — just mentioning it for transparency.

There are several tools available to help monitor a project and prepare it effectively. Each sheet you create is easy to be stored, see changes of history, but also share it to people outside the organization. Sheets can be exported. While creating a sheet, a basic guide and instructions are available on how to make most of it and structure it in a correct way. AI options are also available, however I have not yet made used of it.

It is a bit hard to understand the full capacity and the difference between all the sheets that can be created. I have also tried grouping - putting sheets into specific folders, but I have faced some difficulties.

I love the look and feel of Smartsheet and how simple it is to create automations and workflows. Sharing is easy too. Making automations is straightforward, and the forms allow me to gather detailed information from anyone. The automations are not just for sending emails but also for sending request forms, reminders, and more. For projects, I set up automations that send emails to action owners to update their actions, which saves me from having to remind them myself. The initial setup was really easy for us. I like the fact that it has got a direct connection to PowerBI so I can create more advanced dashbaords if required. I never got any issues with the server or lagging or much of bugs it was more on the functionality that is lacking. The cost is pretty high too if we want to implement it but if the client is okay with this tool then it is a good recommendation for large and medium sized companies.

**What do you dislike about Smartsheet?**

I find that making the dynamic dropdown better with a better interface would be an improvement. Also, copying columns easily with the conditional formatting is an issue. I'm not able to create multiple columns at once, and I can't copy the type of the columns—I have to create it every time. There is no option of creating new workspaces with a templated version and if I need that I might have to go and create using control center which is again cost effective.

I use Smartsheet for project and program management, including tracking actions, milestones, costs, and deadlines. It’s especially helpful because it automatically sends email updates and reminders to action owners, which makes it much easier to stay on top of tracking and follow-ups.

**What do you like best about Smartsheet?**

It has a wide range of applications and is able to create bespoke solutions that are easy to use. The cell history function and the ability to amend permissions (admin, editor, viewer, etc) make governance and auditing easy. The annual cost of member seats is reasonable and making viewers free has meant that it is a system that the whole business can use. Reporting can be as simple or sophisticated as required but the control centre tool allows you to aggregate data for many workspaces into one report. Having a database has reduced duplication in work and the whole system has made our processes more streamlined and efficient. The online support and training videos were crucial to get our system going. Cheetah Transformation were a pivotal third party company that helped us develop our solution and introduce best practice. In the future, we are looking at how Smartsheet can integrate with our other systems. Performance is generally good with the occasional delay in pulling data from sheets to dashboards, but this resolves in time.

It is a relatively new software for the business so we haven't had the chance to find anything we dislike.
