"SilkRoad Onboarding Experience"

What do you like best?

The product is pretty straight forward in basic setup and configuration. The user interface is aesthetically pleasing and easy for first time users to quickly adopt. Single Sign on availability makes using all SilkRoad products much easier as members need to remember only one password. Updates made are generally easy to implement. Also find the integration with our ERP System seamless. Setup is straight forward and can run on a job scheduler.

What do you dislike?

After implementation, it becomes more challenging to make updates and modifications. Customization isn't as easy to implement as expected. Modification of custom forms can take time and resources not every organization may have available. Customization can cost additional dollars if not setup initially. Test over and over until you have reached 100% user adoption rate.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Look at multiple products and compare features. Make sure whichever product selected meets the needs of the business. Ask to demonstrate the product with the implementation team and power users rather than sales. In my experience, talking to the power-users will give you much more insight of limitations you may be faced with once deployed.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Automated workflow and paperless processing of new employees and performance reviews for existing. Integration with our ERP system is seamless and data entry is pretty much something of the past. All data is stored off site in the cloud and little concern about disaster recovery, missing files or records in the event of an emergency.

"Onboarding Tools"

What do you like best?

Onboarding is the best of all the products that Silkroad has to offer. The workflow within it is easy to use, easy to follow IF you have your tasks set up correctly.

What do you dislike?

What I like least about Onboarding is that it doesn't connect to Learning to auto complete tasks. Example, if the task says to complete an eCourse, you have to log into Learning - to watch, then log back into Onboarding to save and complete the task.

We needed an alternative to paper files, this system allowed us to move to electronic employee files which is a million times better and more efficient than the paper files.

"Down to earth and caring; doing business a different way"

What do you like best?

The integration with the models and the ability to adapt as we move forward has been one of the best things. The answer is rarely no, but rather, how can we. There are a few times where good things happen to those who wait, but people know items are being worked on and progress is being made.

What do you dislike?

I think the programming costs are a bit high at times, especially when it appears to be a minimal change. Not enough flexibility in this area. Also, not enough attention being focused on education as a section of the business. Too much "one size fits all".

Recommendations to others considering the product:

You need to have programmers and a sales team dedicated to Education. It has unique challenges compared to other industries and SilkRoad continues to fail to recognize that. Changes seem to be a one off every time instead of allowing Education as a whole to share best practices.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

The off-boarding is the latest challenge. That and shortening the application. Both will make it for a more positive end user experience, which is what we want.

"out of date technology"

What do you like best?

It is fairly intuitive to navigate and use as you look around for things. As a new HRMS user I didn't attend training and am able to use reports and look at employee data from searching for it on my own.

What do you dislike?

The technology is out of date and we haven't seen upgrades for years. When you ask for a service person knowledgeable in HR, they have very few left at the company. It seems they are trying to retire it and it would be nice for them to be clear with customers that is on the way. There are no custom report options available, even if you paid for them through SilkRoad.

Up to date features like Gender X or third gender, and EEO categories are behind the times.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Look elsewhere. It seems likely that they will decommission the software soon.

We are doing benefits open enrolllment through the system (not self-service though)

"Improves tracking tasks, difficult to configure"

What do you like best?

Being able to track tasks and hold employees accountable for completing their portions of onboarding. Allows you to complete administrative paperwork quickly.

What do you dislike?

Creating eforms is not very user friendly. I've had issues with the lifesuite onboarding form linking the HR Coordinator to the HR Representative role in WingSpan. Sometimes the system does thing that we didn't know it would do and don't have the ability to turn off. It can be difficult to assign tasks to team and have them claim their tasks (safety committee).

Recommendations to others considering the product

Plan out your onboarding tasks before hand, do a mock run before setting up all of the tasks in the system. You may find tasks to be repetitive or that some items should be self completing tasks (emails notifying the employee to complete something). The goal is to reduce administrative work, adding too many tasks can be counter intuitive.

We're able to have an employee complete forms online and have the system automatically send those completed forms to other departments. It's reduced the administrative workload that we have. All online forms are in one area and can be easily printed out once completed.

"Using SilkRoad Onboarding to enhance new hire experience"

What do you like best?

I enjoy the fact that I can customize the onboarding experience for new hires based on a variety of factors, from location, position, management role, etc. We gave had minimal issues with new hires having issues accessing the system.

What do you dislike?

I struggle with testing new time related tasks. Onboarding may continue well past the first 5 days, and I like to be able to confirm how new tasks work.

Recommendations to others considering the product

During implementation, have a dedicated team to review current tasks and how you can use the system to improve and enhance the onboarding experience for new hires and your organization.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our company first started using SilkRoad Onboarding for HR Coordinators and New Hires. We are now able to expand upon the new hire experience by adding in other teams within our organization. In doing so, managers are more involved with the experience for the new hire.

"SilkRoad RedCarpet-Great Product"

What do you like best?

This product is wonderful! Electronic onboarding is very convenient and customizable. You can create your own E-forms.

What do you dislike?

If you have a task dependent upon another, you are not allowed to remove the task without having to remove all of the others. The new tax forms that come out, takes time to upload once you click on "get latest."

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It has simplified the process for us. The notifications are wonderful when the employees have not completed the tasks based on the due dates. Allows you to assign tasks to other team members for their tasks to be completed. The system it self is just a great system to have.

"SilkRoad Onboarding"

What do you like best?

SilkRoad is easy to navigate and efficient to use for updating statuses of potential candidates and Rolling out the Red Carpet for recent hires.

What do you dislike?

The major issue with SilkRoad is running specific reports. It would be great if there was an easier way to run reports for specific types of candidates or particular characteristics/traits of candidates for metrics review.

Utilize the reports and the metrics usage available. Great resource for understanding the candidate pool.

We utilize SilkRoad for all applications and for onboarding. It is efficient and allows for a smooth transition into the Onboarding stage for both candidates and hiring managers.

"SilkRoad is all inclusive"

What do you like best?

The SilkRoad staff are always available to help you. From implementation to training to support. They are always reachable and quick to respond.

What do you dislike?

Some of the platforms have limited functionality. For example, Agile Performance isn't able to to do as much as we would like. The system is not as robust as the others making it overly simplistic in its capabilities.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Have a very clear idea of what you are wanting out of the systems before implementation to have the systems setup up exactly how you want them from the start. Ask as many questions as possible during implementation.

SilkRoad Technology has significantly benefited our learning and development. We use SilkRoad Learning for all of our safety and development trainings as well as our promotion system.

"SilkRoad LMS - Why you should consider this great resource"

What do you like best?

SilkRoad has provided our organization a cost effective resource for administering our organization's learning opportunities. I have work with many best of breed LMS platforms and SilkRoad provides great value.

What do you dislike?

Other HRIS platforms provide more consistent and regular R&D upgrades. I think this in an area where SilkRoad could devote more resources toward.

Please make sure you speak to their knowledgeable product implementation and support staff on how their clients have used the software. In relation to other LMS platforms, SilkRoad can do just about everything most organizations will need to provide a great learning administration resource.

We use the LMS to help plan, initiate, monitor and track our New Employee Orientation. The checklist and scheduling features provide great communication and accountability resources for our staff/leaders.

"Streamlining Day One through Effective Onboarding"

What do you like best?

Being able to send nearly all of the initial Day One New Hire forms/documents greatly speeds up the first day New Hire process and allows for more time spent on orientation, tours, and acclimation to the new job for a new hire. Also, typed forms are superior to handwritten as it negates handwriting interpretation errors

What do you dislike?

I wish the back end were more open to Administrators so that we could customize our forms, notifications and instructions better. Also, being able to export the user data to a spreadsheet/csv would be greatly beneficial.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Take a look at your hiring processes and the number of forms that you require new employees to complete. If you have more than 5 then this would be a good route to go. Everything from tax forms to policy acknowledgements can be done in onboarding and it will greatly streamline your operation.

Our onboarding times have decreased while at the same time we have been able to provide greater information to candidates prior to their first day so that they have questions already formed when they get here.

"Great product for engaging new hires and connecting them to company values!"

What do you like best?

The SilkRoad product has given our recruiting team a means to not only engage new hires in the pre-boarding process through the interactive portal, but has also given the recruiting team a way to streamline tasks between management, the recruitment team, auditing, and the new hire.

What do you dislike?

The admin side is not user friendly within the portal and it is difficult to customize and brand without in depth training. I also wish there was a "take a tour" feature that calls out important parts of the new hire portal.

We have increased organization with policy confirmation and tracking, provided a means for auditing to access confirmed tasks, and has helped recruiting eliminate unnecessary paper processes to automate the on-boarding paperwork and tasks.

"Silk Road Learning Review"

What do you like best?

I love the comprehensive features and reporting. There is great flexibility in settings to manage and track training in almost any way you want to. Very customizable to your organization's needs. Online support is usually very responsive and easy to deal with.

What do you dislike?

I wish there was an easier way to make custom reports for people that are not IT pro's that do not understand programming language. Their reporting is already quite flexible, but this would be even better.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There are so many features and options within this platform that you really need to dig in and take the time to learn how all of it works. Also, probably want to talk w/ an experienced person that has used the platform before getting too far into the implementation. Some decisions on how you structure the d.b. can be harder to change later.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are managing the many company & regulatory training classes required of all the various positions within the company. Without an LMS like this that is customizable, we would not be able to effectively manage all the different requirements for so many people.

"SilkRoad's Onboarding platform is great!"

What do you like best?

SilkRoad's Onboarding platform is in my opinion their best platform. We are still in pilot mode but have received great feedback from managers and new hires who have gone through the process! The managers don't even need to login to the system to complete their tasks.

What do you dislike?

The administrative/back end of Onboarding can be hard to get used to at first. Once you get the hang of it, it's not too bad. It also doesn't integrate with our HRIS system - Ceridian, so we have to manually update our data.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are trying to improve and streamline our Onboarding process for our whole company. We also want to make sure new hires are set up for success on their first day. We love the digital new hire paperwork, and that the new hire can complete all the paperwork before their first day so they be more productive faster!

"Onboarding Review"

What do you like best?

RedCarpet makes my life so much easier as an HR Specialist. I am constantly working with multiple candidates, and having everyone (and their progress) on the same dashboard truly allows me to stay organized and on track.

What do you dislike?

I can't say there is ANYTHING i dislike! I love how easy it is to add tasks and make it customizable to fit any need our organization has.

Nothing! It works perfect for us

Keeping everything on track and moving along so that we can onboard people in a timeframe that allows all departments involved to get their items prepared before the new hire comes on board, and also allows us to keep accountability of our staff to do those items.

"Great Tool for onboarding large teams quickly"

What do you like best?

We are a staffing firm, who often hire large teams of people for short term projects with clients. Onboarding requirements vary from client to client, and they are notorious for springing a last minute form on us. Silkroad Onboarding allows us to quickly onboard these teams, with minimum effort, and oversee the entire group, to quickly spot when someone is not moving through the process as they should. We can also create our own electronic forms, and add new steps to the process, so as things change, we don't need to wait on anyone to create forms for us.

What do you dislike?

Very little! If you are onboarding a large team, you may find your Inbox gets cluttered with notifications from Silkroad Onboarding, but I'm not sure there's much you can do about that.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Onboarding large teams of people. This can be done with minimum effort. It's also very easy for us to bring temporary staff on board to assist with the onboarding process, as Silkroad Onboarding is very intuitive and quick to learn.

"Used for multiple platforms of training"

What do you like best?

We use SilkRoad Learning across multiple platforms for training delivery. It makes the transfer of information seamless. We can rest assured that all employees company wide are getting the same information and therefore, able to implement it the same.

What do you dislike?

Some of the features are not user friendly. They leave you scratching your head thinking why did they not allow this. But not enough to impact the overall impact of the software.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Definitely take the time to go through Demos and speak to current users. I think they will be able to assist you with knowing what you will be undertaking (as long as they are honest). It will solve problems but with any new software there is a learning process to it. Be ready and aware of that. It did not take us long to "get with it" but there is still a slight process to learning the intricacies of the software.

We have utilized this to maximize the delivery of training to all employees. All trainings are now found in one place and very easy to follow for the trainee.

"Easy to configure and manage"

What do you like best?

Configuration is easy. Changes to workflow or tasks require minimum effort. Most can be done easily and quickly by the Administrator. Online help tonic is very handy. Learning curve is pretty easy.

What do you dislike?

Reports: results cannot be remembered. If you view the task or employee (result), you cannot go back to the report results. You have to click "search" again to repopulate the results.

What do you like best?

1. Ease of creating tasks in Onboarding

2. Easy end user experience to post jobs

3. Automated email notifications and reminders in Onboarding

What do you dislike?

1. Lack of customization (ability to self edit most fields/dropdown lists in Recruiting and Onboarding)

2. Reporting in onboarding and recruiting is way too basic

3. Unable to further customize integration between onboarding and recruiting (adding more fields to feed over that are critical to the business)

4. Role options in recruiting are very limited. Admin has less access than recruiting manager which doesn't make sense.

5. Lacking dashboarding capabilities

6. Unable to create more complex custom forms in Onboarding

7. Unable to easily toggle back between candidate stages in Recruiting if someone is moved by accident

8. Don't like that all candidates disappear when a job is closed and don't come back if reopened (what happens if a job is accidentally closed?)

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Onboarding has helped us streamline our lengthy onboarding process by creating online forms and automated notifications. There is much less back and forth and chasing down new hires to get their forms complete.

"We have really enjoyed using SilkRoad's Onboarding"

What do you like best?

Some of the top features are the forms validation on the Tax forms and the I-9. Making sure that the form is completed correctly from the start saves a lot of time on follow-up with the employee. Also, we have enjoyed the ability to make groups of tasks dependent upon one another so that we can ensure that the new hire and internal teams complete required tasks which allows for a smooth onboarding process. We have also been able to achieve 100% on all audits, because the documentation is organized and complete.

What do you dislike?

The reporting really needs to be enhanced. Currently it is a data dump and then you work with it after the fact. It would be really helpful to have more powerful report writing capabilities with scheduled report deliveries and dashboards for managers.

Before using SilkRoad, we had a paper-based process. SilkRoad allowed us to automate the onboarding process - no more paper.

I like the fact that I can customize the recruiting experience for new employees based on a variety of factors, from location, position, management function, etc. We had minimal problems with new hires who had problems accessing the system.

What do you dislike?

"Fantastic Support Reps, but they have a little way to go in order for it to fit Higher Ed better. "

What do you like best?

I like that I am able to add videos, attachments, and links quite easily. I also LOVE that it integrates with Agile so I don't have to go through an entire profile creation in Agile.

What do you dislike?

I wish that it also integrated with Learning so I wouldn't have to do as much maintenance.

Streamlining the process and engaging employees. We certainly have more we can do but we are working toward that.

"Good Software"

What do you like best?

I like the ease in searching for a candidate. When searching for 'John Smith', every job he has applied for will show up. The amount and types of information stored is pretty robust.

What do you dislike?

It can be a little difficult to navigate if you don't know what you are looking for. For example, if you search for candidate 'John Smith' but he registered as 'John A. Smith' the candidate will not appear in the search.

It is kind of bare bones, but it really gets the job done.

SilkRoad is our primary recruitment software and we also use their Red Carpet software which is awesome.

"RedCarpet onboarding..."

What do you like best?

We only use RedCarpet onboarding....Easy to use, ability to create eForms, add task, group task, etc. We still have issues with users ignoring reminder notifications or not completing task, but at least they can now log in to see what are the list of pending tasks.

What do you dislike?

Our dropdown lists gets way too long because are organization has lots of locations/business units/departments/job codes, etc.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It's easy for other depts to look at their tasks and only tasks related to them. They do not get notifications of tasks that they used to get cc on in emails under our old process.

"From Laborious to Glorious!"

What do you like best?

I no longer have to manually track nearly 200 HR tasks associated with Onboarding, Life Events, and Offboarding. As St. Louis' fastest-growing business in 2017, Silkroad has accommodated our demand to scale quickly! As a professional consulting firm, our new hires come with high expectations and the ease, organization, and efficiency of SilkRoad Onboarding leave a lasting impression. I am a fan of the continuous improvements and updates. Also, SIlkroad support is responsive and reliable...you can't beat that!

What do you dislike?

I wouldn't mind if some of the functions accommodated greater flexibility (i.e. start dates, notification dates, assignment to persons, etc)

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We have increased information reliability, reduced paperwork burden on new hires and Team Member Services, enabled rapid scaling, and ensured consistent processes are executed in a timely manner.

"Gets the job done"

What do you like best?

It is really easy to create workflows for different types of hires. It also connects really well to the Applicant tracking system.

What do you dislike?

It doesn't have the "prettiest" user interface but it is very functional./

This is a good product that can meet the needs of most onboarding process. It is likely best used with their applicant tracking system (ATS), which we use as well.

It helps us to really organize our onboarding process, including IT setup (email, phone, computer, etc), benefits paperwork and anything else we need new hires to be set up for.

"User friendly"

What do you like best?

What I like best is that it's user friendly and it's all one product, not patchworked! We have all of the products so it has solved so many of our needs.

The people at SilkRoad! They are so helpful and truly want to help you with business solutions. Barbara Cannon is a great Champion Champion!! Too many others to mention.

What do you dislike?

I hate that HRMS has been abandoned! It's a fabulous product that I wish someone besides me still loved.

We had no onboarding, no LMS, and not recruiting system, so many, many benefits!

"Implementation was alot of work, but well worth it!"

What do you like best?

Everything is online now and so simple for staff and the new employee! It's a seamless experience now.

What do you dislike?

The only dislike was all the work it took to bring Onboarding live. But it was worth it in the end.

I would recommend this product but communicate that it is time consuming to implement.

Time saved in Onboarding new employees. With everything electronic now, the employee can begin the process the moment they are hired; instead of waiting until their first day at work.

"Modules individually might be good for some companies"

What do you like best?

I felt the functionality for the Learning (formerly Greenlight) and Performance (formerly Wingspan) modules was fairly comprehensive. There was a decent degree of configuration options and flexibility, Overall, I think you can "get the job done" within each individual module.

What do you dislike?

The modules could not share data between each other (at least not when we used them ...2012-2016). The user interfaces were not the same between the two modules and thus not consistent in how you would navigate and interact with them. It was obvious they were designed by different companies. The UI/UX was dated and in the Learning module, there were multiple pop-up windows that you could get lost in (potentially having 6 open configuring some aspect of a learning).

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Certainly look at other vendors. SilkRoad will surely compete well in price and if budget is a number one concern, if you have a decent technical person to go through implementation and act as an ongoing administrator, then they might be the right choice. Otherwise, there are other vendors offering more comprehensive, all-in-one solutions with superior UI/UX.

We needed a system to manage Learning and Performance and wanted it all in one tool. Compliant learning was able to be managed as well as goals and some aspects of Performance, however the lack of strong, 100% shared data and workflows between modules led us to eventually move to another vendor.

"Sleek and Sweet!"

What do you like best?

I like the fact that the system is user friendly and the upgrades that are making the tool more user friendly in the mobile space are excellent. I also like how well the system integrates so easily with existing systems! Huge win!

So far - no issues. We have had a very good working relationship for almost 6 years.

"It gets the job done"

What do you like best?

Step-by-step guide to getting started when I began this job. I liked being able to track my progress and next steps without having to hassle my new supervisors or HR.

What do you dislike?

Logging in proved cumbersome, especially since I had to initially set it up using credentials different from those I was eventually given by my employer. Sometimes, I have trouble logging in for no apparent reason, and then it seems to randomly work again.

On-stop spot for tracking onboarding tasks for new hires. Eliminates need for excessive paperwork and manual email reminders.

"Solid product but cannot wait for the changes!"

What do you like best?

It is a very easy to use system. I think the support that you get is very helpful and very personable.

What do you dislike?

I think that some of the simple things like mass resume upload are things that I would like to have to make my job easier. The good thing is that everyone does listen to the concerns and its on the roadmap.

"Simple to use"

What do you like best?

I really like that everything is all electronic. At my previous job, we had mostly everything on paper which was a nightmare. SilkRoad is very easy to use if you're tech-saavvy. I also really like that e-Verify is incorporated into the system as well.

What do you dislike?

I don't like that we're unable to delete/inactivate teams.

Running reports is easy. If we had the budget, using the performance review feature would be fantastic.

"Upgraded, but still does not meet our needs"

What do you like best?

SilkRoad updated Onboarding this year so the user interface is much better

What do you dislike?

The functionality really doesn't allow us to do what we need. We can't integrate with our current payroll system. We can only assign tasks to DO and not to view or to approve. We have many onboarding tasks and some that require some collaboration between individuals and aren't necessarily assigned to *one* person. Also, there isn't a way to embed training videos or other features that would make getting people onboarding from one place possible.

"Welcoming"

What do you like best?

The tasks are so easy. The ability to incorporate your employer brand in the message and welcome employees to the organization is easy and seems fluid to new hires.

What do you dislike?

I dislike having to come up with a unique ID for the task. Since there are retired numbers and IDs and things change, it would be easier if it just generated a unique ID for each on its own.

We were regularly having problems with certain items not being ready for the employee on their first day or throughout their process. Now everything is ready and done by the due date and the employee has all they need.

"Great ATS and Onboarding Solutions"

What do you like best?

There are a lot of great features with SilkRoad, and specifically OpenHire and RedCarpet. I use OpenHire on a daily basis and find the user interface to be very intuitive and easy to navigate. I like that a lot of candidate communications can be handled and tracked through the system, the workflow process is very clear and the link to RedCarpet is seamless. RedCarpet is such a great tool for onboarding and allows us to orient our employees properly and is adjustable for different types of hires.

What do you dislike?

I would really like a way to build out a strong consultant database and cadre. Consultant hiring is a very different type of recruitment so having a functionality that captures that would be very helpful for our organization and industry.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I would definitely recommend that organizations look into this tool and see if it fits their business, although I do see this as a versatile tool for many different industries.

The biggest business issue being solved is automation, which saves us a lot of time in using a system like this.

"Silkroad Learning"

What do you like best?

Silkroad Learning was very easy to implement, and has allowed myself and my team to create content once and use it in multiple instances. This has saved significant time and money spent on content development and deployment. It has allowed me, as an Administrator, to easily push training out to our new hires and to track required training across many organizations within our company. SilkRoad Learning has been easy for our users to implement, as the student portal is very user-friendly.

What do you dislike?

The reporting capability can be difficult to customize. Would love more AdHoc reporting.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Definitely take the time to go through Demos and speak to current users. Attend SilkRoad Connections every year once you become a user. It is a valuable experience to hear the future of the company and the products, and to meet current users to hear/see how they are using the products to their fullest capacity.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Delivering training to our company and franchise users. SilkRoad Learning has allowed us to save time in content development and deployment to our users. The benefits are numerous, we have been able to better track required training and overall eLearning usage and completion with this system. We have been able to more effectively push required training to our users and involve our supervisors in the tracking of such training via scheduled reporting.

"OpenHire needs some help"

What do you like best?

The system does a decent job of gathering candidates in one place and allowing the posting of jobs.

What do you dislike?

Poor display of resumes. Recruiting stages aren't flexible and cause reports to be rewritten. Formatting of job postings isn't WYSIWYG. Search capability isn't robust (even a trailing space causes problems). Requires HRIS intervention to add new managers and cost centers.

Finding and managing candidates to fill company positions. The platform does let us work across separate business units without much issue. Pretty quick turnaround for posting an approved job which speeds up the hiring process.

What do you like best?

The best and most valuable feature of SilkRoad onboarding is the flexibility it gives to really customize to your company's workflow and design.

What do you dislike?

One area that could use improvement is the eForms. Trying to print the eForm and capture all content that was filled in doesn't always work and doesn't look great.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Highly recommend paying the extra cost for an onsite implementation consultant. 100% worth the cost!

Time to complete onboarding tasks for new hires and being able to track who is responsible for what. We have gone from 30 days to order and get new hires set up with their computer/IT needs to being ready to go on day 1!

I like the fact that everything is now so streamlined. We use both the recruiting and onboarding system so we now also have paperless files.

What do you dislike?

I wish there was a way that applicants could alter their application without contacting us to do so. I would think that they could easily log into their portal and make changes that would be updated instantly in their profile.

The service experience afterwards is excellent. The set up is labor intensive so be prepared for that.

I enjoyed the hands on learning about the SilkRoad Product offerings and the optimization session. It was great to have the opportunity to connect with other users and share tips and tricks.

From the kickoff speech, it appeared that the focus of the conference was artificial intelligence. I was looking for more about the product and how it could directly impact our organization.

At this point cannot think of anything that I dislike. I would say that there is some redundancy in entering information or sometime multiple steps to complete an action. However I did learn some new tips this week at the connections event that i will incorporate.

I appreciate the flexibility of the product to be able to adapt to current business practices.

There is nothing currently that I dislike. There have been some positive changes with recent releases.

I love the support provided from our implementation specialist to project manager, training and support team. We have had excellent support from all levels.

"Great Onboarding platform for process simplification, automation and globalization"

What do you like best?

The ease of set up, the fact changes can easily be made in house means that we can keep all the tasks, trainings and policies up to date.

The dashboard is a wonderful feature for each of the players in the process as they know exactly what they have to do and when it needs to be done.

It has greatly improved our global onboarding and provided a uniform process that has been applied world-wide with customizations in regions where the volume of recruiting warranted it.

What do you dislike?

The reporting feature works well but not when you have a large number of tasks in a workflow and may new hires as the report will only present a certain number of lines at once.

Upgrades to the system have sometimes caused temporary problems with our access.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Hold a workshop with a cross-functional team of everyone involved in the process and have a comprehensive list of pain points. Prioritize these pain points and work with the Silk Road team to see which ones they can help you solve.

We had new hires starting in our organization and had no idea what was expected of them during their onboarding. They were confused about what they had to do, what they had already done and when it needed to be completed.

We also had many managers not getting ready for their new hire on time as the process was very manual and time consuming.

Silk Road Onboarding has reduced the confusion and workload for both the new hires and their manager.
