I like that I can see how often a student has had communication from school through texts, emails, and calls, and whether a parent responded. This helps me decide if I need to contact the parent differently. The ability to make a phone call from my laptop is particularly helpful because I don't have to use my cell phone or a school hard-wired phone, and it records the conversations, showing there was contact. It was also pretty easy to learn to use the software. **What do you dislike about SchoolStatus?** I don't know if it is a software issue or just the way my school district does things, but to me it is frustrating to use around five different software programs to keep up with different aspects of school. It should all be in one program. **What problems is SchoolStatus solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use SchoolStatus to share student accommodations with teachers and contact parents easily. It lets me see the school's communication with parents and identify unresponsive contacts. Making calls from my laptop records the conversation, so I don't need my cell or a hard-wired phone. ### 2. I feel that process could be easier. I know the broadcast setting is available but you have to go through and favorite each students contacts for the broadcast to work. **Recommendations to others considering SchoolStatus:** This is great for documentation to support communication between parents and teachers. Sometimes, students will have several phone numbers listed. It is important to put a star by the preferred number as some phones have been disconnected or are other friends or family members. **What problems is SchoolStatus solving and how is that benefiting you?** I feel that communication is key between teachers and parents. School status allows for us to communicate through text, sending photos, and calling. Communication is such a positive aspect of bridging the gap from home to school. ### 9.
