Who is SchoolStatus pricing best suited for?

SchoolStatus's pricing is best suited for K-12 school districts and education-focused organizations, particularly those in the Mid-Market segment of 51 to 1,000 employees, which represents the majority of G2 reviewers. G2 users from Primary/Secondary Education and Education Management industries consistently report strong value from SchoolStatus's communication, documentation, and data features. Small Business schools also appear frequently among satisfied G2 reviewers, praising ease of use and parent engagement tools. Enterprise districts with over 1,000 employees also appear in G2 reviews, noting SchoolStatus's scalability for mass communication. The custom quote model makes SchoolStatus's pricing most accessible to institutions with dedicated procurement processes rather than individual educators or small teams.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of SchoolStatus?

SchoolStatus does not offer a free version or multiple pricing tiers. According to G2's pricing data for SchoolStatus, the SchoolStatus Suite is the single available plan, offered at a custom quote based on organizational needs. This means prospective buyers must contact SchoolStatus directly to obtain pricing tailored to their district or institution. The SchoolStatus Suite includes mass messaging, two-way communication, video chat, digital forms and payments, teacher observations, learning loss data, data integrations, and compliance features. G2 reviewers across Small Business and Mid-Market segments confirm broad access to these capabilities, suggesting the all-in-one suite model rather than a tiered feature structure defines SchoolStatus's pricing approach.

Is SchoolStatus considered good value for its pricing?

Based on G2 reviews of SchoolStatus, the platform is widely regarded as good value, particularly for K-12 education settings. G2 reviewers frequently highlight the broadcast messaging, automatic translation, call recording, and documentation features as delivering strong return on investment. One reviewer explicitly noted the cost as "very affordable for what we receive," and another praised both the product quality and cost. However, one G2 reviewer noted that SchoolStatus's pricing increased to the point where their district discontinued use, suggesting cost sensitivity at scale. Overall, the high volume of 4.5 to 5-star ratings across Mid-Market and Small Business segments indicates that most users find SchoolStatus's pricing justified by its communication and documentation capabilities.

"Efficient Parent Communication Tool with Room for Improvement"

What do you like best about SchoolStatus?

I have been using SchoolStatus for six years, and I particularly value its features that enhance parent communication. I like its ability to record calls, which is immensely useful for keeping track of communications. Additionally, the option to mass text parents saves me time and effort, allowing me to reach everyone promptly. One of the functionalities I appreciate most is being able to call parents without using my personal number, which adds a layer of privacy and security. Furthermore, the quality of calls and texts is outstanding, providing clear and reliable communication. The initial setup of SchoolStatus was very simple and easy, and I have successfully used it across multiple school districts. I also want to mention how likely I am to recommend SchoolStatus to others; I would confidently rate it a ten out of ten for recommendation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SchoolStatus?

I do not like that my phone does not ring when parents call me back. I wish it would notify when they are calling so that I could reach out to them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SchoolStatus?

I like that I can text parents using SchoolStatus, and the translation feature allows me to contact parents in the language they are comfortable with. The initial setup of SchoolStatus was easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SchoolStatus?

I would like sorting lists of students to be better, I would like to be able to batch download student documents. You can't currently batch download all student 504's or IEPs from a list of students. I would like to be able to do that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
