The main areas I’d like to see improved are the overall UI/UX, integrations, and the value delivered relative to the cost. Some workflows feel more complicated than they need to be, and finding important information often takes too many clicks. A more streamlined, intuitive interface—along with smoother integrations—would make day-to-day use more efficient and help the product feel more worthwhile for what it costs. Salary.com is very easy to use and doesn’t require much training to get started. Implementation was straightforward, and it quickly became a natural part of our workflow. I use it often to check salary ranges and validate decisions, and the features feel comprehensive enough to cover most of what we need. Customer support is generally responsive, but at times it takes longer than I expect to receive a detailed answer. I’ve used Salary.com mainly to research compensation information for current employees, as well as for potential future hires and roles. Being able to narrow the results based on our industry, company size, location, and other variables helps me feel more confident that the information is accurate and relevant. Many of the roles I researched had levels from I-V. The job description seemed to remain the same for each level, with only slight changes to reflect to whom that role would typically report and amount of experience required. I really like that Salary.com allows me to add specific scopes based on industry, location, and size/revenue. This feature tailors the data to be more specific to our company, which makes me more trusting of the data. Also, the initial setup was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The AI agent needs improvement. I would like to be able to add a job description and the agent match our job description to a job in their database. I want it to match based on job details instead of job title. Right now, I don't trust the recommended matches because it is solely based on the title of the job rather than the actual contents of the job description. Salary.com has a comprehensive database of jobs to search, and salary data seems to be current with the market in our area. I like the ability to create hybrid jobs, since some of our positions require skills from various jobs and we like to compensate accordingly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In the beginning, the workflow for creating our jobs and linking them to market data reports was not intuitive. I had a few training sessions with my rep, took good notes, and then was able to figure out how to save and link the data to be able to come back later and run new reports on existing jobs. I like that I am able to compare in-house salaries with private and public companies as well as regional as well. I use the CompAnalyst Market data to compare working titles that are similar to the one's at my company. This allows me to tailor positions so they are competitive.
