RF Smart WMS has given our company a solution that we can customize to fit our specific needs. We are able to use the features that are most relevant to us and continue to expand as we develop our operational processes and improve efficiency. The system’s functions are intuitive, and the workflows provide detailed information and data that would be difficult to achieve with a manual approach. Implementing RF Smart WMS was straightforward, and RF Smart ensured we had ample time to set up and receive proper training on the system. Procuring and testing the hardware was also a smooth and user-friendly experience. We rely on this system daily, and as we become more familiar with it, it only gets easier to use. Because our business operates in a niche market, there are certain features we would like to customize. However, making these customizations means we no longer receive updates for the base model software. It would be helpful if we could continue to receive automatic updates while still having the flexibility to tailor the software to our specific requirements.

Additionally, RF Smart did not provide TRR with the necessary documentation for network and IT setup. This proved to be the most challenging and time-consuming aspect of the process. Purchase Order/Transfer Order receiving make getting the product in the system quicker and easier for the warehouse personal. Also, the bin management system has greatly improved our inventory accuracy and provided the warehouse structure and organization that was greatly needed. The directed counts is also a great tool and makes counting the inventory quick and easy and has also improved our inventory accuracy. I have heard is when product is received and committed to an order, the warehouse is unable to see the sales order the product is committed to. Also, if there is a shipping or quantity discrepancy with a purchase order the warehouse is unable to enter that discrepancy from the handheld. The inventory insights provided both on the scanner for quick real time situations and in NetSuite through the Suitelet are amazing. The software on the scanner can sometimes take a while to load but I am unsure if that is device, network, or application based. There is some menu configuration within the scanner that can be annoying at times, like having to press the back button four times sometimes to return to the home screen. The automated cycle counts feature has significantly reduced setup time for me. I also appreciate the label integration, which is straightforward, efficient, and offers customization options. I find it challenging that RF- SMART WMS does not keep track of real-time inventory movements, which can interfere or overlap with other users' functions. Additionally, I'm not pleased with the cost structure, as RF- SMART WMS charges for all enhancements and customizations beyond the standard functions, which can add up and limit the utilization of all features. As an organization, we here at Sara Lee are very customized. This means we have several variations of RF-SMART's base functions. These customizations can be quite involved.
