As a company that never used this type of set up we had the best experience. Our Implementation consultant, Neal Von Almen, was the perfect fit for our team. He made every step of our integration smooth. Any issues we ran into, which due to his guidance was very few, we had no trouble working through quickly. We felt we had his full attention throughout this process and it was a pleasure to work with him. He was professional, kinda and understanding throughout this whole implementation. Kept us up to date of potential addition area that RF Smart could help us without the pressure of being upsold. My experience with RF Smart has ensured they will always be my first go to for anything additional we could benefit from them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing I can say that I dislike. Everything went smoothly, we had a good time even great laughs. There was not a negative moment when working with our consultant or even our rep. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our experience with our RF-Smart implementation and product was near perfect. We pushed for an aggressive timeline, and RF-Smart met our needs. Our sales team, implementation consultant, and project manager were accommodating and patient with our team to adjust to our needs. I cannot write this without giving Tracey Kuhn (hardware and labels) a big shout out for her customer service.
Our operation has multiple subsidiaries in different states with multiple locations in some subsidiaries. This complexity has not been a hindrance with the system.
The integration with NetSuite, in which all data resides inside NetSuite, is the biggest key. You do not have to learn another software app or UI; it is NetSuite. Our team asked all the questions, researched various scenarios. Simply put, the system has worked exactly as demoed, and there have not been any surprises.
I would highly recommend RF-Smart for NetSuite users for functionality, implementation, and customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to see an additional feature for directed stock putaways Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
utilizing RF smart platform on scanning guns for receiving our store products has come really a handy and smart solution for our business in this fast-moving world .also Rf smart having a solution for e-commerce business sounds to be a great solution if any business is moving ahead with an online business. There are no cons that I have come across until this day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Their tight integration with NetSuite, along with Pick Planner (wave/paperless picking) makes this a great solution if you are on the NetSuite platform. Their handheld UI for picking and interfaces are sexy, modern and straight to the point.
Their packing "stations" as they call it is a very user friendly system that helps prevent misships, work fairly effortlessly and is straightforward to set up.
The reality is RF-SMART is a tightly coupled solution that offers no duplication of data outside of NetSuite, which helps your accuracy of inventory and management of systems.
User management is also straightforward and easy for warehouse supervisors/managers to understand and their licensing with receiving/picking users is great as it does require separate NetSuite licenses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest thing RF-SMART struggles with is a lack of advanced integration with FedEx. For example, OneRate, Fedex' flagship announcement in 2019 is not on their roadmap, but it should be. It is a key tool for online business' rivalry with Amazon's fast shipping model. More glaring is there are at least 3 fundamental FedEx features missing: Declared value, Signature required, and NRI International shipping integration.
The last thing that is missing right now is integration within their packing interface to call a 3rd party label at the time of QC/packing. What I mean by this is if you prepay shipping on Amazon, eBay, Walmart, there is no way to do your QC at the pack station and then request a 3rd party label via API. I think if they do this it is a game changer for E-Commerce players.
Finally, and quite possibly the most important thing for others to be concerned with is the sales team at RF-SMART. While their CEO is really a stand-up guy, I am concerned that their sales guys are typical SaaS guys where they will say darn near anything to get a deal done. Make sure to spell out ALL years of a multi-year agreement for all your costs as it can really hurt you in future years if you think otherwise, including if language is left a bit ambiguous. Their retention team was able to help us, and overall their staff is amazing so I do not want to scare too much, but just be warned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked the ease of use, the handheld guns made keeping track of inventory and updating quantities daily a breeze. I also liked the ability to integrate it with NetSuite, both of them together took care of all of the needs we needed in inventory management for our warehouse Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I did not care for the multiple channels you had to work through to update inventory quantities. There are several different screens to work through to update one item Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
RF Smart has given us the ability to track inventory using wireless scanners. Our picking of product has increased and it has been able to be standardized so anyone walking off the street could follow the process. RF Smart also helps with accuracy as it will not let us select an incorrect item. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the biggest complaints is that there can be a short delay between RFSmart and NetSuite during the picking and shipping process. This can lead our pickers and shippers to be waiting at time for the software to catch up. The other shortfall of the ship portion of RF Smart is that it does not do international shipping. It cut the receiving process time down which contributed to our maximum efficiency policy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Seemed to have needed constant monitoring. If certain people weren’t around to click a button, all our data would not transfer over. Frustrating during OT hours Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The company is very easy to work with, and their products work well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There were some minor issues that arose during our implementation, but the company was very quick to resolve them however needed -- including software updates, code modifications, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use, easy to manage and teach to others. Inventory management is a lot easier because everything can be coded and barcodes can be applied an dfohnd very easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes hard to navigate, can be difficult at time to enter formatting for different kinds of barcodes or different sizes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Certain aspects of our manufacturing business require very detailed tracking. Right down the which bin the item was pulled from. Before RFSmart everything was done by hand. First we would write the details on each order then we would have to hand type all of the information into our CRM to keep track of it. Now with RFSmart we just scan the ticket, scan the individual components and where they came from and then done. Another great feature is being able to capture the amount of labor going into each order. This has helped us redefine our margins by product and not just product group. I dislike the scanner support. I buy my scanners directly from them only to find that almost every time there is an issue I have to go through them and they usually need help from Zebra. I just think if you are going to sell the scanners you should have a little better trouble shooting abilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The integration with Netsuite is a huge plus in my book. Using scanners to scan the product, fulfill it, and have it ship then it all corresponds to Netsuite makes the system well worth it. Having multiple scanners for different departments makes the process run pretty smooth with only minor hiccups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the server can get bogged down which can cause some issues. We have product separated into bins and sometimes it can get mixed up and something will get entered wrong and it can cause a commotion. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons by a long shot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
