Our experience with the implementation has been very disappointing. We have been working with the RF-SMART team for approximately 8 months, and there has been very little meaningful progress. The implementation process has been extremely slow, and communication has often been difficult.

Despite many discussions about our operational requirements, it does not seem like the implementation team fully understands our business processes. This has led to repeated delays and limited forward momentum on the project. Because our business operates in a niche market, there are certain features we would like to customize. However, making these customizations means we no longer receive updates for the base model software. It would be helpful if we could continue to receive automatic updates while still having the flexibility to tailor the software to our specific requirements.

Additionally, RF Smart did not provide TRR with the necessary documentation for network and IT setup. This proved to be the most challenging and time-consuming aspect of the process. Purchase Order/Transfer Order receiving make getting the product in the system quicker and easier for the warehouse personal. Also, the bin management system has greatly improved our inventory accuracy and provided the warehouse structure and organization that was greatly needed. The directed counts is also a great tool and makes counting the inventory quick and easy and has also improved our inventory accuracy. I have heard is when product is received and committed to an order, the warehouse is unable to see the sales order the product is committed to. Also, if there is a shipping or quantity discrepancy with a purchase order the warehouse is unable to enter that discrepancy from the handheld. The inventory insights provided both on the scanner for quick real time situations and in NetSuite through the Suitelet are amazing. The software on the scanner can sometimes take a while to load but I am unsure if that is device, network, or application based. There is some menu configuration within the scanner that can be annoying at times, like having to press the back button four times sometimes to return to the home screen.
