**What do you like best about Practifi?**

Practifi is a nice-looking CRM platform with lots of functionality.

**What do you dislike about Practifi?**

Their onboarding process is the worst I have experienced. After four months of calls, lack of follow-up, poor communication, team changes, almost nothing had been accomplished. I complained repeatedly about the lack of progress and was mostly just given apologies and that things would get better. (They never did) The one thing that seemed to get done timely was to send me invoices that came out to about $300/week. I eventually told them after constant disappointments that I was going to have to cancel. That I could not in good faith expect my team to use this service for actual clients. We expect a much higher level of service from companies we do business with. I sent a long list of complaints and service failures to their team after being told canceling my contract would be hard because their Salesforce contracts are annual. I eventually was let out of the contract after weekly reminders to them but was never given a refund for the money spent up-front.

**What problems is Practifi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I went to Practific to find a CRM platform a little more functionality than RedTail or Wealthbox, but left very disappointed in their service.

As we continue to grow, we also continue to learn; particularly in regard to onboardings. In recent months, we have spent a considerable amount of time gathering feedback from our clients. After compiling this information, we have used the findings to make improvements to our onboarding process through the introduction of our Professional Services team.

Here are a few changes we have made:
1) We have hired Implementation Consultants with deep industry and technical knowledge that understand our clients’ needs
2) We have improved our pre-engagement discovery and requirement gathering process to set better expectations for clients and our team
3) We have mandated a project management tool to improve collaboration, transparency and accountability
4) We acknowledge that data is an industry-wide challenge, but we continue to refine our processes to improve efficiency for everyone involved. We do this by analyzing data configuration earlier in the process to improve team alignment

While these changes do not remedy your experience, we will continue to improve our onboarding process. As one of the first experiences a new firm has with us, we absolutely want our clients’ onboarding experience to be a positive one.

The email integration. You can automatically capture client emails without having to manually log them. Incredible time saver!

**What do you dislike about Practifi?**

Inside the meeting interaction details, there needs to be formatting options: bullet points, numerals bold, etc.

**What problems is Practifi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capturing all client/prospect interactions in an efficient manner. Time saved, revenue increased, headaches reduced.

**What do you like best about Practifi?**

The customer service has been really good. Setup was done through our office manager and required very little time from the principal advisors. As issues have come up, my account manager has been diligent in getting back to me, and has walked me through many an error of my own creation.

**What do you dislike about Practifi?**

The only thing that I have not enjoyed is that there are moments where we have had to try to dig into a problem, but that is to be expected with implementation of any system.

**What problems is Practifi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our old system didn't have the integrations that were really important to us. As we complete our processes within practifi, we will be able to use it as our hub for all information.

**What do you like best about Practifi?**

Having Salesforce as the backbones of Practifi, the platform is mature and stable without many core, functional issues. There is an ever growing list of integrations and with the newly launched Academy and Professional Services Teams, customizations is not as difficult as it once was. They have also since expanded their teams in the US, making them much more responsive and much quicker to resolve issues, whether at the account level or the technical level.

**What do you dislike about Practifi?**

Some of the terminologies can be confusing and there is a large amount of learning, both from an admin and an end-user, that needs to be done for this software to be effective. Business flows for paperwork processing are currently not in the system, however from what we have seen this is changing (Feb, 2022). This is not a criticism more than an FYI: This is NOT plug-n-play software. A large amount of work will need to go into a successful launch for your organization. However, Practifi's Professional Services Team has definitely expanded to make this easier to accomplish.

**Recommendations to others considering Practifi:**

Moving more into the US market, there needs to be more of a focus on US terminology and customs. However, we have seen a very large shift into a positive direction for development, acquisitions and personnel so we are very hopeful for the future (Feb 2022).

**What problems is Practifi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has greatly helped us clean up our data for our clients and prospects. Also by having integrations with a large amount of other software, having Salesforce as its backbone, allows for unique and creative ways to accomplish business needs.

I would like to have more control over the color palette on the home screen and other screens.

Practifi is a total office management solution for all aspects of our firm - marketing, sales, management, operations, and compliance.  We are still in implementation mode, so the benefits have not yet been realized.

More user friendly app. Simpler views and reports for end user consumption. Avoid infinite flexibility that Salesforce suffers from.

Spend more time prior to rolling out your environment.

We're currently going through the transition to Salesforce lightning. Working through the implications on our current processes and workflows. The transition plan hasn't been as clear as we had hoped.

If an RIA firm is looking to hire additional staff to share the workload, consider investing in Practifi, with integrations, to add efficiencies to your current team.

**What problems is Practifi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team member's everyday work can be more efficient with the processes built from Practifi and those created specifically for our firm. They add automated workflows without manual entries that can be overlooked within a procedure.
The available App Exchange integrations will eliminate multiple documentation in various applications decreasing time spent by team member's per client.
Having the ability to create new fields for reporting that can eliminate all those Excel spreadsheets helps with ease of use and finding information per client more efficiently.
All of these solutions plus others not yet utilized will add to staff productivity.

It took some time to learn Conga so some of the automation took some time to perfect.

Automated workflow processes for the team - improves accuracy, creates efficiencies and ensures nothing is missed.
Automated documents to improve accuracy via Conga and Practifi integration
Integration with our document management system (FYI Docs) to record file notes and other important compliance documents
A CRM for all our important client information and compliance needs in 1 spot.
Integration with our accounting software which assists with integration with our accounting firm

The Practifi platform is highly customizable.  Our firm is able to enter and run reports on just the information we need for our business.

**What do you dislike about Practifi?**

Since the platform allows for customizations, it's easy to go overboard on changes.

**Recommendations to others considering Practifi:**

Speak to other businesses in your industry using the platform.  Ask them about best practices and what they have found most helpful.  Talk to your customer service team regarding other users and how they are customizing the system.  USE your customer service team!!  They are highly skilled and knowledgeable.  The turnaround time on questions and issues is remarkably fast.

**What problems is Practifi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to use Practifi to further our marketing and business development models.  We have been able to streamline processes that are customized and consistent across all of our clients.

Workflow and tracking client work has been the number one strength of practifi, we are able to have a file move across clients desk in an effective manner. The use of interactions and feed help for day to day client work.

The negatives have been the lack of data integrations for the financial services industry including investments and insurance.

**Recommendations to others considering Practifi:**

Review your current system and what you are looking for, if you are considering a good workflow and compliance CRM then PractiFi will work for you, if you need to use the CRM more for advice then PractiFi may not suit.

We are solving the problem of missing client files, nothing is getting through the cracks. We can have overview as a firm

**What do you like best about Practifi?**

Practifi has a fairly intuitive layout which makes navigating the software quick and easy. There seem to be many layers to each feature, which I like, since you can get more detailed and granular if the situation merits it, or leave things more basic and broad. For the most part, we have been able to fit our methods into the system or learned to use what exists in the system to fit our needs if the existing tool was a better fit. The support team and developers are awesome!

**What do you dislike about Practifi?**

With any new software or product, there are bugs and things that don't work perfectly out of the gate. It's not perfect, it doesn't do everything. There are some funky features that can require a number of clicks to view or enter something. Overall the pros outweigh the cons in my mind, but it does require some patience and understanding that it won't be perfect overnight.

**Recommendations to others considering Practifi:**

Be patient. This process will take time. But it will be worth it.

We are able to track client interactions in a much more robust and organized way than before. We continue to progress with customized tools to help our staff use the CRM more, and move away from old methods like keeping an excel spreadsheet, or other individual files.

The AT A GLANCE Dashboard at user & division level.  The 360 View page for client. Task functionality. Easy extraction of data to csv files for analysis.  Box Storage & Xplan integrations. Responsive support team.

Some of the modules are under developed and need enhancing. No datafeeds. Costly customisations after implementation.  Inadequate Help Guides.

**Recommendations to others considering Practifi:**

My only recommendation is to reach out to other similarly modelled finance companies that are using Practifi to get a better understanding of their user experience and understand what customisations they needed to make to suit their business processes.

Our firm appreciates the flexibility in Practifi, and the ability to build out robust workflows with adjustments based on multiple outcomes.

**What do you dislike about Practifi?**

There are some challenges with Salesforce in general around email functionality and mail merges, but this is being addressed in version updates.

We have been able to integrate Orion, our portfolio management tool, into Practifi which has helped us easily sort our clients within the CRM by assets and categorize them within our service levels.

Our relationship manager understands our requirements and always works in our best interest to find a useful solution. Extremely prompt with his replies and always keeps us in the loop with the progress of things.

Turnaround time and lack of regular updates on some tickets even with constant following up.

**Recommendations to others considering Practifi:**

Integrations with MYOB and other accounting software to allow companies to track invoices on Practifi and have a 1 stop shop.
Also integration with some telephony systems like Zoom would be extremely beneficial.

Having an automated workflow system. The reduction of heavy reliance on the team to remember the process rather than having a system guiding them through it.

Think about what you're looking to get out of a CRM.  If you want an operating system that does more than just client information/notes, look no further.

UI customization from staff requests.  Building out processes using their native tool.

Biggest benefit for the management team has been streamlined onboarding via multiple processes.

Practifi's Team and the support they bring our firm through collaboration on our processes to bring us up to speed on Best Practice.

Still some limitations that other CRM's don't have in regards to mailings, lists, document storage.

We have been able to go electronic with a number of our processes through the workflows and digitalized several pieces of paper with Task Templates.

The best part is the ease to which you can navigate the platform. It uses the engine of SF without all the confusion of navigating SF. There are easy ways to run reports and view client information. I can easily find household vs client information. Providers is another great tool within Practifi.

**What do you dislike about Practifi?**

There are limitations to how much you can customize and I wish Practifi wouldn't present these as options if it breaks the system.

**What problems is Practifi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking client communication, task, birthdays, calendar events, asset level.

We have a lot of shifting of client relationships here, the fact that the interactions are so well organized means that newer team members can be brought up to speed on the relationships more easily.

Too much clicking to open pages.  You can't export tables from anywhere except Data Management.

Transparency in communication related to clients.   Tasking that's visible for burden and accountability.

Can be very complicated. Sometimes feels overwhelming (specifically the SalesForce backend).

Make sure you have buy in from your entire staff before doing. Can be a steep learning curve.

We are moving away from using email to complete various client service tasks.  Our Practifi support person helped us create tasks and processes that allows us to capture everything in one place.  It has helped us become much more structured and organized in our client service delivery.

**What do you like best about Practifi?**

Give the relatively accessible price point I found the onboarding process and project management both useful and valuable.  Provided me a far better experience than other systems I have attempted to implement in the past.

**What do you dislike about Practifi?**

Whilst not a significant issue, I had not previously used project management software so running the implementation through Asana was probably overkill for me.  It did not however diminish the quality of the Practifi team and their high levels of engagement and patience.

Consider as an alternative to Salesforce

The support I received went above and beyond to find a solution to my issue. When several email exchanges did not work, they promptly initiated a zoom meeting and were able to get me squared away fairly quickly. The thing I liked best was the personal attention to my case and the knowledge, skill and capabilities of the tech support specialist.

I did not dislike a single thing - they were awesome!

Stick with it, ask questions, do the training and watch the tutorials!

**What problems is Practifi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overall awareness of clients accounts and how to properly categorize and track interactions and assets. The benefits realized is organization and excellence! The ability to update client accounts improves productivity within our team as well.

I think it is a solid CRM / built as a complete overlay on top of Salesforce that enhances everything that a team in the financial services industry needs.  With room to grow, PractiFi is delivering a great product and emphasizes customization and partnership.  Each release is more robust and geared to help RIA's in the US grow and organize their pipeline.
