Each year it gets better and better but you don't have to convert to the new stuff if you don't want to and can keep it "old skool" if you're not into lots of changes at the beginning of the year. I like the way you can enter assignments for multiple classes nowadays instead of having to do it all one by one (as it was in the past). I like all the different settings, like printing out rosters and blank spreadsheets. I probably do that at least once a week because I still like to fill in grades by hand on the paper and then transfer it in IC later. I like that the students can check what they're missing and as a parent, I use it to see what my son is missing and to easily record an absence. Calling on the phone is not fun compared to getting on the IC app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, as a teacher, I find it hard to distinguish where I am on the main menu. Am i in instruction or in student information ? Like, if I want a student's grade vs my gradebook...or I want to toggle back and forth it seems like I often get stuck in some type of netherworld where I can't get back to where I want to be or I can't figure out how I looked something up in the past. Sometimes it seems like my permissions suddenly disappear and I can't look student info up. When that happens, I have to close the program and then log in again. This isn't a problem when I'm in my classroom working alone, but if i have a lot of students in the room, this isn't ideal! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
