Each year it gets better and better but you don't have to convert to the new stuff if you don't want to and can keep it "old skool" if you're not into lots of changes at the beginning of the year. I like the way you can enter assignments for multiple classes nowadays instead of having to do it all one by one (as it was in the past). I like all the different settings, like printing out rosters and blank spreadsheets. I probably do that at least once a week because I still like to fill in grades by hand on the paper and then transfer it in IC later. I like that the students can check what they're missing and as a parent, I use it to see what my son is missing and to easily record an absence. Sometimes, as a teacher, I find it hard to distinguish where I am on the main menu. Am i in instruction or in student information ? Like, if I want a student's grade vs my gradebook...or I want to toggle back and forth it seems like I often get stuck in some type of netherworld where I can't get back to where I want to be or I can't figure out how I looked something up in the past. Sometimes it seems like my permissions suddenly disappear and I can't look student info up. When that happens, I have to close the program and then log in again. We can enter student attendance and absences in the system easily, as well as the schedules of different classes, when there are changes in schedules, students can be informed. It allows monitoring the behavior and performance of students, providing analysis and preventing late students from not graduating on time. Both students and parents have a portal to log in and view online grade books and final grades, so that they are aware of their performance at any time, in real time. The software is very intuitive, but sometimes I find it cumbersome to enter final grades. That part should be a little more intuitive or automatic. Its interface could be a little cleaner and less chaotic, as sometimes so much information on the screen can become overwhelming. I dislike that I am unable to change my password without an administrator. Someone has hacked my Infinite Campus_ and deleted my grades. I like that Infinite Campus stored them in a different section of the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I like about IC is that it has so many features and data points. You can also have certain access levels, so only some people have access to certain things which really helps protect student privacy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike that sometimes you have to go a roundabout way to do a search or to view specific information. I have to have it on a specific view to see what the primary language spoken is, for example. Infinte Campus is a great tool for teachers and parents because it offers such an easy way to track grading.
