## Pando Reviews
  ### 1. Great product and company!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando is very intuitive, easy to navigate, and comprehensive, with a lot of intelligence built in that makes the tool a great fit for a company who wants to shift from performance management to talent management.

The knowledge and support of the Pando team is also very impressive - having come from industry-leading companies to build a tool that enhances career clarity and progression.

I especially like the wellness features, the admin dashboards, and the customer service has been really fantastic. Overall, the assessment portion is really impressive too, and I like the structured way to assess talent.

I coordinate nearly daily with a Pando rep, who is very receptive to the needs of their clients, and willing to customize elements as needed.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

It'd be great to get more sophisticated functionality around goal-setting, and also the team goals dimension added.

I'd also like to see more engagement elements, prompting where helpful, and things that drive employees to the tool without them deciding to do so.

Lastly, I'd like it to be more interconnected and cyclical. Consider the user journey and what would happen after an assessment - like an IDP, sharing resources, etc. This would make it a perfect tool :).

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to shift from performance management to talent management, and create more touchpoints between managers and employees to discuss career progression and development year-round. The tool has provided a nice way to offer forums for feedback, achievement logging, and out-of-cycle assessments throughout the year. It's also provided more consistency around how we talk about performance, skills, and behaviors through company-wide competencies.

  ### 2. Competency model is a game-changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lia S. | Director of People, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

After implementing, our team has shared that they love the transparency of levels and what moving up looks like. They love the simplicity and consistency of competency ratings from their manager (as opposed to a big empty text box and a subjective rating/ranking based on nothing). They love how easy it is to share feedback with their peers and their managers. They also love that it shows our company's focus on career growth and progression. Even our CEO has been singing its praises in company All Hands meetings! The support team made implementation easy and remained communicative throughout our first year to make sure we were aware of new updates and got all our questions answered.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

The implementation process definitely takes time – it's a big committment up-front if you want to get the full benefits of the system! I met with every department lead to get their input on appropriate competencies for each team, but that also helped us get engagement up at the start, since leaders felt bought in.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transparency of levels and career pathing – employees now know where they stand.

  ### 3. Knowing my exact career growth potential and it is all thanks to Pando

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dominique R. | Senior Creative Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Pando?**

I could go on for days, but I LOVE that Pando provides a framework for my employers to define success at every level so I know how I measure up at each stage!

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

When giving feedback, I wish there were more action-items-focused prompts so that people know what actions to take to improve. I definitely think having more features as Pando grows will be helpful!

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando solves the problem of awkwardness when asking/receiving feedback from coworkers (which is typically daunting).

  ### 4. Great experience, clean interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica K. | Business Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Pando?**

It was super easy to use. So much so, that I don't remember anything bad, when I see the name I immediately assume the task is soemthing simple and easy to complete.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Honestly, none. I have really enjoyed all my experiences with the tool.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's keeping my goals all in one place. An easy way to access my thoughts at a point in time.

  ### 5. A Modern & People First Performance and Career Progression Management Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lourdes R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando has been able to offer a product that is not just a SaaS tool. It combines consultative support with technology in order to create an environment for leaders to support their teams with career progression and performance management. It doesn't stop there. It provides employees with clear expectations on skills and competencies for their role and roles within the company they want to consider developing into.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

No downsides to Pando other than they are an innovative and disruptive leader in this space. Organizations and leaders have to be ready for how this product will accelerate their talent's growth.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping solve and support our commitment to equitable and inclusive performance management and development opportunities within our organization. Managers will now be accountable for assessing their talent against the same "rubric" - competencies and skills and not promote someone into a position they are technically not eligible for. It is also solving for our employee's consistent request to have visibility into what skills are required for them to be considered for promotion within the organization or development to align with their career aspirations.

  ### 6. Pando solves leveling, career progression and performance mgmt all at once!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Their competency library and consultative approach meant that we got my entire company leveled with just a few manager workshops and one rollout. Reliable levels allowed me to build compensation bands, improve recruiting processes, run a merit increase process. That was huge.

But I love that Pando seamlessly integrates leveling and performance mgmt. Pando is the first solution that truly allows us to ditch the cumbersome annual performance review. It gives execs more visiblity, managers an easier way to give feedback, and employees feel connected to their own growth.

The Pando CS team is amazing as well - they are right there any time I need anything. Even as a very small customer we get white glove service. They've co-led internal trainings for us, advised my CEO, etc.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

There's not a lot of downsides that aren't already on the product roadmap. I've had lots of feature requests but the Pando team has a great philosophy on performance and have been aligned to my requests so a lot of what I want to see next is being built.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Like I mentioned before: 1) leveling is huge, and leveling that's tied to very clear competencies with robust defintions, and levels that have our companie's core values integrated as part of the competency framework! 2) continuous performance feedback, making our merit cycles incredibly simple and low lift 3) employee career progression and development

  ### 7. Pando is helping change how we see careers at Biztory

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anoop O. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

The transparency and clarity around careers is the most helpful thing about Pando. We have several roles and rubrics setup that show the expectations for each person at their level but also giving them insights into what other roles are available, and the expectations of those roles incase someone is interested in moving to a different area of the business.
The feedback element of Pando helps us all take ownership of our careers but having actionable feedback delivered at the time of the event from our peers and colleagues. This means we are all helping each other to grow and learn in the organisation.
The goals feature allows us to see how our individual contributions make up company wide initiatives at a strategic level while also being able to track the tactical goals that an individual contributes towards too.
The assessment process in Pando is extremely thorough, focussing on the competencies an individual is expected to be working to in their role at the level they are at. The ability to postively rate where individuals are at allows them to see the things they are doing well at and the areas of opportunity within a given competency.
We have integrated the platform with Slack as our primary communication platform and that integration on an individual basis is very straightforward. As we use Slack daily, we see the notifications from Pando daily too so we can get value from using Pando very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

When done properly, the amount of time a full assessment can take is quite long. Although the process is time consuming, my personal feeling is that the amount of time invested is worth it to provide a significant amount of value between a team lead and the team member.
The integration with Slack is done on an individual level, it would be a lot simpler if this was done on a platform level so everyone has the integration enabled by an administrator.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando is helping us track how our team are growing in their careers.

  ### 8. A brilliant career framework for a remote team like ours

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allan Kjellstrøm C. | Head of People, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

We transitioned from our own Mastery Tracks to the Pando full-fledged system, which offers well-thought-out rubrics and a wide selection of competencies, allowing for highly customized rubrics. We appreciated the flexibility in building rubrics that suited our needs, as well as the scalability of the product. Additionally, the granular assessment of each competency enables incremental growth, unlike the binary system we used previously. Pando is straightforward to use, the team is very receptive to feedback, and very customer-focused, so we feel heard and experience a constantly evolving product.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

I wish there was a smart way it integrated with Todoist, so the goals could somehow 2-way sync with Todoist. As a productivity company with our own task manager, we are struggling a bit to get buy-in from the team to use another product for setting goals.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Pando as our feedback loop, and it has been immensely helpful in creating the feedback culture that we have longed for years. People are now conditioned to provide constructive and helpful feedback to their colleagues to help them grow. We are also in the process of exploring the use of Pando's level system for mapping our compensation and employee stock options program in Carta, and the first signs are quite promising.

  ### 9. Career and Development ladders you need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angella G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

I love the transparency Pando offers our management team and our individual contributors. There is no more guess work around where people are in their growth or development. Pando's team helped us structure an expansive set of levels that allow our team to grow as IC's as well as Management without feeling stress to follow the professional norms of the industry. It also makes conversations and feedback easy between managers and employees. Our employees can now take their career into their own hands and see exactly what core competencies and behaviours they need to show in order to grow their career. Having the ability to.input and manage goals allows managers to gauge exactly where they employees are in their initiatives and objectives which allows for good feedback.

Because they connect to HRIS systems, it makes onboarding hassle free and allows us to connect leveling and accounts directly to our onboarding process.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

I personally cannot wait until their is a 1:1 meeting function where employees are able to see real-time feedback and notes between them and their managers directly on the platform.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because of it's transparency re: leveling transparency and goal setting, managers are able to have easier conversations surrounding career and development growth with their employees. Our leveling structure is solid and curated towards our company, and employees are able to see exactly where they need to grow.

  ### 10. Not your average performance management tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelly O. | Adjunct Faculty, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

How simple both the implementation was and the UI for employees to get up and running and optimize usage

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Probably not a dislike but right now their Team has to create the rubrics for all new roles - I know it's on their roadmap to have this as a feature but it makes me
As a client feel bad to have to be needy

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to partnering with Pando, Scior employees would receive feedback in their one-on-ones and get evaluated on the tasks at hand. There wasn’t a central place for documentation and the feedback wasn’t tied to specific skills or competencies.
Because expectations weren’t clearly outlined, there was misalignment between managers and employees throughout the company. Without the behaviors or tasks to measure against, there was no way of demonstrating or comparing what different levels looked like across functions. The majority of employees regarded themselves as performing better or higher than their managers felt they were performing, indicating a clear need for transparent, competency-based conversations. Pando is helping to alleviate all of those challenges.

  ### 11. Finally a competency-based career progression tool that really works!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Desiree T. | Executive Director / Mother, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando offers a really innovative approach to defining career tracks at your company to help employees and managers navigate conversations around career development. This has always seemed like a daunting task for an HR Operator, and working in a scaling startup, this can sometimes feel like a moving target.

I was responsible for implementing the Pando solution in our company of just under 100 employees. Our people were really excited for transparency and to have clarity on how we view compentency achievement and career progression. Pando's framework helped out managers drive deeper conversations in a more collaborative way that factored in feedback from across the org in real time. The process of designing and deploying the tool was very engaging. Highly recommend working with Pando!

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

After developing a solid plan for our career levels, we also had to conduct a market analysis and revisit our compensation bands. I wish Pando had more resources to help with bringing the career levels in parity with the compensation structure. I believe this might be an offering in the future which woukd be high value!

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando is solving for a strong feedback mechanism around performance that is captured in real time vs waiting for the annual review process. By adding Pando to our HR tech stack, we've empowered managers and employees to have more transparency in talking about career growth at our company.

  ### 12. Pando takes performance development and feedback to the next level!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

The platform is cost effective and easy to manage! I have used other software for employee reviews and I like the transparency and career development focus of this system. We picked Pando based on the cost, functionality, ability to grow with the software and the staff at Pando. I've been impressed with the customer service! Implementation was very custom and we had hands on help from Adam at Pando. Many systems expect you to set things up yourself. That's not the case here! Adam is also always open to feedback and ideas!

The tools allows our staff to view competency rubrics for our values based competencies and also functional competencies. No one can credibly say they don't know what is expected of them when you are providing the level of transparency that Pando provides!

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Because Pando is a newer product, at times we need to be patient with product updates or new features. However, this can also be an advantage because Pando does a fantastic job of seeking out customer feedback and passing that along to their developers. I have the opportunity to suggest features and sit in early stage v1 meetings to introduce us to new features that are coming (ie: meeting memorilization and note taking).

Your staff might feel they are duplicating work, by providing feedback and having coaching conversations verbally or in other systems and then needing to document it again in Pando. This is more of a systemic issue that Pando is mindful of and looks for ways to make it easier!

I wish it was easier to integrate with Rippling our HRIS tool.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando helps solve the complicated balance of career progression and performance management. Employees can transparently see what is expected of them based on rubrics, with tangible examples. Feedback can be tailored to expectations. Employees can receive feedback on a continuous basis, key to solving the level of interaction, feedback and recognition that employees in the world today have come to expect. We previously did not have an always on tool for collecting and memorilizing feedback and career development. We've moved the once a year performance review on paper to a a new way of thinking about feedback and career development.

  ### 13. Great platform to align Career Progression across different departments

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bjorn C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

The ease of use of the platform
The support of the Pando team
Centralisation of information that contribute to someone's career progression

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Reporting and analytics insights still limited at this point but is under development

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alignment between different regions and departments to evaluate team members in a standard and unified way

  ### 14. Pando is approaching employee development in a thoughtful, people-first way!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Pando?**

The platform is very easy to navigate and focused on simple, effective features to enable you to focus on exchanging feedback and using it in the context of development and progression conversations. The Pando team is very friendly and easy to work with. They are always receptive to feedback and beyond supporting us in using their platform, they are always happy to offer recommendations and help us reason through how we approach feedback and progression as a company. You can tell that they care deeply about what they do and want to have a genuine, positive impact on how companies approach employee development and progression.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Pando is still a growing company so in the short-term, the platform has a lot of room for growth and refinement. The platform is already incredibly useful, but like any young platform, it lacks the "nice-to-haves" that more established platforms may offer. Based on the Pando teams responsiveness to our feedback and the improvements they've made in the months since we joined them, i'm confident that they'll continue to add value to their users through thoughtfully designed features.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando enables us to create a transparent, equitable way to approach employee development and progression. In addition to helping us develop the competencies used for each function in the company, the Pando platform offers an easy way to visualize your progression and provide and receive feedback in a consolidated place that can be used to help guide development conversations that take place between managers and their direct reports.

  ### 15. Wonderful tool, amazing people!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando is easy to use, encourages feedback and recognition, and focuses on competency based reviews that help your people understand where they are at an how to up level.
I can't say enough about the team at Pando, which I would argu is one of their best assets. Their people are smart, responisve and very helpful. They have great insight and wonderful advice.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

As far as I can see, there is no downside to Pando.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando has allowed us to develope competency based levels. This allows employees to own their growth and undertand what they need to work on to unlock career opportunties. Our team has been able to nail down key competencies that allow our business to run effectivly, which encouraging constant feedback and recognition. Instant upleveling helps people to feel they are improving in tangible ways.

  ### 16. Pando totally changed our people experience game!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

We're commited to building a feedback-driven culture, but we didn't have the tools to do it well -- until we found Pando. Pando makes it easy for our team to give and request feedback, and have a structured conversation on career development throughout the year.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

For almost every "downside" we've experienced, Pando has a solve for it in their product roadmap a few months later.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando helped us clarify our career framework and what a path to grow your career actually looks like for our team.

  ### 17. Pando is one of the most intuitive tools I ever used when analysing your professional development.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marta Luisa N. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Pando?**

I love that categories are well explained and levels are according to my vision of performance and skills.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

I love Pando and I think this should be used also for Companies review.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracker of my achieved skills allows me to focus on my career more deeply and seek feedback from colleagues makes us understand what we should work individually and within the team.

  ### 18. Great platform with a wonderful UX

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando is a phenomenal platform for performance management focused on employee growth and development. It's easy to use, easy to administer and easy to update.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

I think Pando is a game changer as a new platform. There is nothing I dislike, just think that there is ample opportunity to grow and introduce new capabilities.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identifying talent who need development opportunities or are ready for the next level in their career.

  ### 19. Giving clear feedback

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Investment Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Our team has gotten clarity on exactly what they should focus developing on after we put together competencies with the help of the Pando team.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

It focuses mainly on feedback, reviews and doesn't give you tooling on employee engagement. We're ok with not having this since feedback is more important to us.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando helped us define levels within each team through competencies. We're now able measure growth and development with more clarity.

  ### 20. Great software for giving feedback across the organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Radu C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Pando?**

- You can choose the exact category for the feedback
- The categories of feedback and their descriptions are customizable for every organization based on the values of the company
- Good for objectively assessing whether you need to give somebody a raise
- You can define a development plan for your career with specific goals

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

I don't know if it's the configuration we have, but defining the plan is a lot of work. I haven't done it yet :D

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pendo helps in assessing the career progression of the employees. It allows for people to align their development goals with the goals of the company.

  ### 21. Pando is a refreshing take on the performance review.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt M. | Director of People Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando is geared towards facilitating frequent, on-time feedback. Based on this it then enables more comprehensive reviews to provide material in support of promotion or compensation discussions. Pando is accessible and the reporting capability (for admins, eventually managers) is demonstrating impressive business intelligence on workforce/talent composition.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Pando is a new platform, so its not without its niggles and minor UX hiccups. That being said, the team are receptive and responsive to feedback and the product evolution to date has been impressive.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were growing from 200 to 600+ people, we had no job structure and no clarity of career paths for people. Pando setup and continues to help us mature our approach to these elements. The response internally has been of much admiration and appreciation for the clarity, transparency and comprehensiveness with which Pando has built our job-level framework.

  ### 22. Pando is so visually pleasing. I love it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | AE, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

The UI is second to none. I don't log in to Pando as much as I do with other solutions, but whenever I do, it's always so refreshing to see. I wish everything online was as clear, simple, and straight to the point as this.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

I recently ran into a scenario where I asked my CRO to leave me feedback. He ended up leaving feedback for another Michael instead of me and now I have to reach out to support to get it deleted. I wish that Pando could somehow overcommunicate who you are leaving feedback to so something like this doesn't happen.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Pando to track where we are in terms of promotions (and salary raises.) The fact that I have a single source of truth to measure how well I'm doing and how I'm going to be paid for it makes this one of my most valuable pieces of software in our stack.

  ### 23. Career growth focus

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Titus Y. | Head of HR, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando enables us to reset traditional performance reviews into regular just-in-time coaching conversations. Retention isn't as emphasized compared to recruiting and Pando helps us even the balance by giving employees the structure they're looking for to understand where they are, where they can go, and how to get there. The future of performance reviews is all about career development b/c people are looking to companies to not only tell them how they're doing, but how that calculates into their career goals. Pando helps us visually present to employees (and prospective hires) the career path for each team and that's the cheat code to retention in today's labor market.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Pando's platform is emerging/building as a startup and has carved out a niche with modernizing assessments/feedback. They've been shipping new features rapidly and the product roadmap looks incredible. Hoping to see additional investment and even more success/growth for the incredible talent on the Pando team.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Retention. Companies are great at recruiting, but retention is often an afterthought. Pando helps us give our employees what everyone is looking for - career development and a way to transparently communicate that effectively.

  ### 24. Challenging old paradigms and building a new way to manage performance and career mobility!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kim R. | Principal People Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando eliminates the need for dedicated, time-bound performance review cycles, pushing the company into a continuous feedback model with clear, competency-based leveling.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Some of the features can be hard to access - it's not all intuitive yet, but it's a new product and they are super responsive to user feedback!

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Performance reviews suck. Nobody likes doing them, and management doesn't even typically use them effectively. Pando breaks apart the old way and opens the door to more equitable, objective performance management and career growth. It's different from anything I've seen on the market, and encourages more consistent attention to skill development, rather than a concentrated annual or semi-annual process that just takes more time than it's worth.

  ### 25. So glad Pando exists!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevan L. | Interim Head of Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

- One of the very few - and definitely the best - dedicated solutions to continuous feedback. There are a lot of great engagement platforms out there, but nothing to solve the acute job of feedback and coaching and progression
- Bring-your-own career development rubric has been really critical. I couldn't imagine doing it any other way
- The software works for regularly-scheduled review cycles as well as one-off, ad hoc feedback

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

- Still early days with product development, which can mean some odd UX moments and unclear directions on where to go and where to find the thing you're looking for. The team has been very responsive to requests and ideas, which has been great

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando solves my need to support my teammates in their career growth and personal development by creating a dedicated space for feedback and career conversations. It's so helpful to have a source of truth and historical documentation on the areas that we're working on together to help them level up

**Official Response from Adam Plachta:**

> Thanks for the feedback, Kevan! I'm very happy to hear you're getting value from the continuous feedback features--they're close to my heart as well. As for those "odd UX moments," we're tackling these in Q4. Would love to hear any more specific feedback if you'd like to share! Email me if so: adam@pando.com

  ### 26. An Amazing Career Progression Tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando partners with companies to create career frameworks that are equitable, actionable, and measurable. Competencies are custom-tailored to each team to be as relevant as possible. The tool is constantly getting better as the company grows. Their fantastic team works collaboratively to ensure success and collect/implement feedback as needed. I love that it creates constant conversation around growth and empowers our employees to take their development into their own hands!

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Pando as a company is new, and that comes with minor bumps as they iterate and improve their tool. On the flip side, they are extremely quick and receptive to feedback and truly act as a partner in your success. There are also some really cool things on the way for their tool that have our team so excited!

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando is helping us help our employees grow. This also positively impacts engagement and retention.

  ### 27. A complete but super intuitive software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susana T. | Legal Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

My company implemented Pando to help us with career and performance management last quarter. After using several tedious and confusing tools for this purpose in my previous jobs, Pando was a ray of sunshine for me! It is a super complete but very intuitive software. You always know when/where actions from you and your managers are required - you are always on top of the situation! You have a clear career path available, with associated levels and capabilities. You also have examples and clarification throughout the entire process, making your life easier when you are thinking about complex questions like "where do you see yourself in 5 years".

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

it can be a bit exhausting at some point when filling out the assessment - as it is very complete it requires a lot of work and a lot of time available: creating goals and actions given examples and associating skills.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my company, there was no career management policy and process in practice, so Pando is an excellent ally to fill this gap. People's performance has improved because now we can track the good aspects and those to be improved.

**Official Response from Adam Plachta:**

> Thanks, Susana! I'm so glad Pando was able to help think through your career path, as well as support the development of those career management practices. I hear you on the time commitment to fill out the assessments and supporting assets like goals and actions. I'd love advice on how to make this a smoother experience if you want to email me at adam@pando.com. Thanks again!

  ### 28. A tool that supports individual progression and drives transparency and accountability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kirstin B. | Director, People Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

This tool is helping us drive the right kind of clarity into our development and progression programs for employees. It centers around competencies for each role, which are visible to the entire organization. This creates a huge leap forward in creating both transparency and equity in how individuals are level-set across the company. And it puts individuals back into the driver's seat, by helping them understand what's behaviors and skills they need to demonstrate at their current level as well as every level above them.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

The tool is still in its early days, so some critical admin reporting features aren't available yet which are important for us to drive usage and understanding of how our people are using the tool. I'm in regular contact with reps at Pando and know a lot of this functionality is on the roadmap or currently being developed so we fully expect to have more self-service control soon.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando provides a robust set of tools to aid in several aspects of professional development. Yes, it helps with performance management, allowing us to see how someone might be falling short of expectations. But it's also a tool that is helping drive important career conversations between employees and managers that can often get overlooked in the course of day-to-day priorities. If we can get it right, we believe we'll be able to better engage with our top talent and drive continuous clarity and recognition throughout their career progression.

  ### 29. A great tool for a young and motivated team!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marina G. | Senior Manager, Partner Strategy and Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

The ability to give coworkers feedback on specific projects or overall competencies and request feedback from your team after wrapping a certain project or partnership is extremely valuable.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Some navigation needs finessing, but the Pando team is quick and eager to improve their platform.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Team growth and career progression. It is benefitting our team by having clearer goals and expectations from our team members!

  ### 30. Pando does everything I was doing manually...and then some!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heather W. | Director, Customer Success, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando is an incredibly innovative and useful tool to track professional development and drive the right behaviors with team members. It allows us to incorporate coaching and development into each 1:1 conversation we have with employees, and gives them ownership over how to work on upskilling themselves. Pando is a tool that combines everything I was doing manually as a people-leader in one spot - tracking employee goals, building competency rubrics, and providing team members the ability to self-assess and identify areas of opportunity.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

There are no "downsides" of using Pando - only that it's early-on in its development and many of the product features/functionality are still being built. That said, Pando's product team involves its customers in the roadmapping process and always asks for feedback on product enhancements, so it truly feels like you're a part of the building process together.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando provides a robust, yet user-friendly tool to track employee professional development in a way that goes beyond just performance management. This is the type of tool that creates engagement within your employee base and ultimately will retain top talent, as it sets you apart as an employer.

  ### 31. Builds more alignment and trust between the employee and manager.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian K. | Vice President Of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

The part of Pando I get the most value from are the manager-employee calibrations. It brings forward so many good conversations that leave you feeling aligned afterward. Employees who are hard on themselves benefit from this too, because it allows the manager to use the conversation to build confidence in the employee's ability.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Sometimes navigating can be difficult. I find myself drilling deep looking for information, only to have to navigate away to find relevent contextual information. Switching the navigation style from "nested" to a branching/bushy style navigation would be helpful.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando is solving a couple of problems for our team: clear career progression, the ability to explore other jobs and their expectations, and facilitates wonderful manger-employee conversation surround career progression and performance.

**Official Response from Adam Plachta:**

> Thanks for the feedback here, Sebastian! I love that perspective on the employee calibrations--using structure and transparency to help someone realize their impact and abilities is such a great use case. You'll hear more about how soon, but we're making some upgrades to the UX this quarter based on user feedback. If there's any more you'd like to share, you know where to find me!

  ### 32. Excellent for tracking career growth

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna W. | Software Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando has a beautiful user interface, is intuitive to use and is highly customizable for each company. It's been a tool that allows me and my team members to keep track of their milestones in one place.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

So far, there's nothing I dislike. Pando is still growing and building, so there have been some hiccups along the way, but the humans behind Pando have been exceptionally kind and helpful.

**What problems is Pando solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pando is helping each team member (including myself) track career growth. We now use Pando to help paint the case for promotions and title changes for our team members. Effective tool!

**Official Response from Adam Plachta:**

> Anna, thanks so much--we're quite proud of the design :) Achievement tracking was my favorite part of my very first demo--I'm glad you're team is liking it! We'd love to hear more about those hiccups to make sure we're resolving them--shoot me a note at adam@pando.com if you'd like to share more. Thanks again!

  ### 33. Highly recommend Pando

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando has built in competency-rubrics, and a library of competencies which we were able to use to build our performance framework. The team helped us integrate our values into the rubric to align values with team performance. The real-time feedback and structure ensures transparency around how employees are performing at a given time, and empowers them to take their development into their own hands.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

So far, everything is going well, we are just ramping up.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Pando?**

Pando is the best career development and leveling tool available on the market today. Its novel approach to an age-old question of how to provide career development information to individuals has really changed the game. The onboarding and implementation is probably the most valuable component because the team is very thoughtful in helping get you set up. This will lead to more usefulness long term—which is really exciting.

**What do you dislike about Pando?**

Not much. There are some areas of the product that need more development, UI needs some work, but the product is new. This will come in time, I'm not worried.

They are solving the problem of how to provide individuals and managers with a place to track, monitor and develop skills and competancies.
