I like that Otter.ai does the bare minimum of creating a transcript of what is being said.

What I like best about Otter.ai is its exceptional accuracy in real-time automated transcription and seamless workflow integration. The tool excels at live speaker identification and generates highly coherent automated summaries directly after meetings. Its smooth integration with video conferencing platforms like Zoom and Google Meet allows our team to focus entirely on discussions without worrying about manual note-taking, making review and follow-up tasks fast and organized.

I appreciate how well Otter.ai handles asynchronous collaboration. It stands out by transforming live conversations into searchable, shareable knowledge bases for people who weren't in the room. I like its Slide Capture Integration, which automatically captures high-resolution screenshots of slides during meetings and aligns them with the timestamped transcript. The "Catch-Up" & Cross-Meeting Chat features are also impressive, allowing me to catch up on missed discussions and query AI for decisions made in past meetings. The initial setup was not complex and quite friendly, which is always a plus.
