    "Powerful, Enterprise-grade Content Management"
What do you like best about OpenText Documentum Content Management?

Documentum is a true workhorse for enterprise content management, especially in regulated industries. Three things stand out:

Robustness and Scalability: It is incredibly powerful and can handle massive volumes of documents and complex taxonomies without breaking a sweat. Its ability to manage billions of objects is impressive.

Granular Security and Compliance: The control over who can see, edit, and approve documents is second to none. The detailed audit trails and version control are essential for compliance and records management, giving us peace of mind.

Powerful Workflow Engine: The ability to automate complex, multi-stage business processes is a core strength. We use it to route critical documents for review and approval, which streamlines operations and reduces manual errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenText Documentum Content Management?

Outdated User Interface: The user interface feels clunky and is not as intuitive as modern cloud-based solutions. This leads to a steep learning curve for new users and requires significant training.

High Cost and Complexity: Documentum is an expensive product, not just in licensing but also in the specialized IT resources required to administer and maintain it. Upgrades can be complex and time-consuming.

Slow Performance: At times, especially when performing complex searches or accessing very large files, the system can feel sluggish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
