# Best cloud-based virtual data room for confidential transactions

 I want to start a discussion with the VDR software community. What is the best cloud-based virtual data room for confidential transactions? Looking at some different Virtual data room solutions on G2, my software shortlist includes: iDeals VDR, Datasite Diligence VDR, and Firmex VDR. My full software app list based on recent G2 reviews is below:  1. iDeals Virtual Data Room  Favored for its streamlined interface, granular permission tiers, mobile access, and 24/7 support, perfect when UI clarity and support speed matter most.   Can you replicate a permissions template across linked projects to save setup time in recurring dealwork in iDeals?      2. Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room  Known for real-time activity tracking, AI-assisted redaction, and smart Q&A workflows with export capabilities, making high-stakes transactions smoother and more transparent.   Does anyone know if you can use Datasite to auto-generate a deal summary PDF?      3. Firmex Virtual Data Room  Highlighted for being enterprise-scalable with robust compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR), flexible pricing, and seamless redaction and API access. This makes it a solid choice for regulatory-heavy workflows.   Can you use Firmex's API to sync VDR events into your internal deal tracker or CRM for real-time alerts?      4. Ansarada  Stands out with its AI-driven engagement scoring, automated workflows, and freemium prep model, to help gauge bidder interest and reduce overhead in confidential processes.    Can you enable nudges in Ansarada when overall engagement dips?      5. SecureDocs  Favored for its rapid 10-minute setup, flat-rate pricing, and solid security, an excellent match when you need fast, no-surprises VDR tools.    Can SecureDocs support templated data rooms per deal type out of the box?      6. Digify  Known for its slick document tracking, expiration controls, and simple UI, ideal for teams that value agility and confidentiality without heavy admin overhead.    Does Digify let you recall access from specific users instantly?      If you have experience using a cloud based VDR, I would love to hear your opinions on my software shortlist. Based on your first-hand experiences, what is the best cloud-based virtual data room for confidential transactions?

When confidentiality is non-negotiable, the details matter: dynamic watermarking, screenshot protection, one-click NDAs, and a full audit trail of every interaction. Papermark has all of that, SOC 2, GDPR and HIPAA compliant, with self-hosting available if you need complete data sovereignty.
