Leaving messages for the doctor. Saves time trying to leave a message.

**What do you dislike about MyChart?**

Making an appointment. Ridiculous process. For a follow up I pick the Dr by name. They direct me to the appt page. Then I have to choose their specialty, and you don't my Dr specialty? OK, use the drop-down list but it does not list their specialty. They say to call the general number. I'd should just call the doctor's office number. Total waste of time.

**What problems is MyChart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very little. I can leave a message for the Dr and get a reply. NOTHING ELSE. Worse garbage site I've seen and a disgrace for John Hopkins.

**What do you like best about MyChart?**

The ability to message quickly between patient and providers and their care team, previously due to hipaa, there was a lot of phone tag involved. In addition, accessing your own medica mecords was a huge nuisance and very timely with most practices. Having instant access to you labs, visit notes, medications, discharge instructions, etc, enables patients to be more fluid with effecting managing and maintaining their own health.

**What do you dislike about MyChart?**

There is some difficulty navigating providers that haven't been linked to account. In addition to including the provider team, it would be nice to have the option to schedule with new providers that were accepting new patients, ones that didn't require live phone schedules due to level of information or skillful scheduling required.

**What problems is MyChart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very effectively and efficiently improving communication between patients, providers and their staff, along with billing capabilities. On the business side, it enables data and workflow to move through work queues and be analyzed with more accuracy with such.

It allows for 1 stop shopping of all my medical needs. I can communicate with my Dr through the app for most things and can even do video visits!

The only issue is images for tests are in a format my phone can't open

**What do you like best about MyChart?**

- Appointments that are scheduled over the phone appear in MyChart within minutes.  
- Those appointments have a link that adds the appointment to the patient's calendar (Google, Outlook/Exchange, etc.}.
- After-Visit summary and Doctor's notes appear with the appointment as history.
- Medication(s) are tracked in the patient's MyChart with dosage and schedule.
- Patient can ask doctor or staff questions via 'e-mail like' text entry which can include pictures or forms
- Other people can be configured to have access to the patient's MyChart.
- Appointments and question replies can send e-mail or SMS notifications.

**What do you dislike about MyChart?**

- Too many steps are required to login into system
- Message headings are pre-canned with poor choices, and the patient has no option to enter their own message.
- There is no way to set a priority flag on messages, 
- There is no method to copy additional doctors on messages.
- Providers/Doctors lists do not have their specialty or roles displayed.
- Providers/Doctors lists do not have their scheduling phone numbers displayed.
- There is no list of scheduling phone numbers for departments.

**What problems is MyChart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Communication with patients is significantly improved without requiring telephone calls.
- Patients no longer need to call doctor to refresh their memory of medication dosage/schedule.
- Patients have a clear and simple listing of future appointments, reducing no-shows.

These benefits have streamlined the appointment scheduling process and it keeps the patient informed.

**What do you like best about MyChart?**

Epic MyChart is an excellent tool, and one-stop shop for connecting with your medical/health practice.  It's a versatile tool, as you can view lab results, pay bills, send private messages to your doctor, and more.  My favorite part is that I'm notified and can see my lab results, right as they come out -no additional waiting or wondering when you can see them, or calling the office, just to wait in queue on the phone.  MyChart keeps a record of the results, and messages between you and your doctor, and can be accessed on a computer or phone.  The tool really makes it easy to connect and get information.

**What do you dislike about MyChart?**

My only dislike, is that MyChart is simply an automated tool.  I'll sometimes get lab results, and be left to interpret myself, as they haven't been reviewed and explained by a doctor yet.  This can lead to poor assumptions or cause unwarranted worry or concern if you don't know how to read them.  Nothing's perfect, but the fact that the tool is all automated, without someone to talk to, lacks personability.

Overall, MyChart is a great tool, and definitely expedites the process in getting information to the patient.  The health system can be very slow when going through a call tree, and waiting on hold, but this tool gets the info to the user immediately.

**What do you like best about MyChart?**

The MyChart mobile application and online site make it easy for patients to be in control and aware of their medical summaries, bills, and appointments. Instead of physically tracking down paperwork from your doctor's office, all your essential records are securely kept in the MyChart software for easy access!

**What do you dislike about MyChart?**

Your medical summary only goes back so far. If you want to have all your records recorded in the software, you must contact all your past doctors and request your documentation for MyChart Administrators to input!

**What problems is MyChart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am saving time and effort with the MyChart application with real-time insight on my health records and the ability to book appointments myself at the click of a button! I also can obtain a detailed summary of my overall health that I can access anywhere at any time, allowing me to be informed and in control of my health needs and concerns. MyChart is the best!

If you don't enable touchscreen log in, make sure you enable two step verification. I lost Mt password once and they are very secure,  I had to reset everything.

I have realized organizing is key to taking the best care of myself. I can keep test results,  appointments and communicate with my provide on a non emergency basis all the time. Even make non emergency appointments!!!!

Understanding  the blood work.  It's not clear what the normal  range is or what the medical  terminology is for blood tests drawn.

**What do you like best about MyChart?**

The thing I like the most about MyChart is the mobile app. It is very helpful to be able to access your medical records at any time, any place. Another thing I like about MyChart is the messaging function. I am able to connect with my physician quickly for needs that don't require an appointment.

Something I dislike about MyChart is that the organization of the test results is confusing. I wish that they would be organized by type of test so that you could see your results over time for a specific test. Instead, they are organized chronologically, which can make it difficult to find.

A problem I am solving with MyChart is that I do not need to make an appointment or call my doctor's office for certain things, like accessing medical records or refilling a prescription. I am able to do these things quickly and easily on my phone or computer.

I like how all my appointments, results, contact info are all managed in one app. Rather than contacting the office or going through the hassle of following up on the results, I can use the app and get all the details. Another thing is that I can also print PDF versions of the results and share them with other healthcare providers. The app also notifies you of appointments through texts so makes it easier for me to manage and track my appointments

Maybe the UI could be worked on a little bit more, I know it is a simple app and gets the job done, but little bit more to clean up the home page would be great!

I am not solving any problems as it gets the job done and helps me with most of my needs.

MyChart is a phenomenal collection of beneficial medical information & action steps. Med lists/appointment steps, etc.

**What do you dislike about MyChart?**

Requiring USERID & password for login is not helpful. I have hundreds of online accounts & can't remember all of them.  I was in a dentist's office last Monday & a question came up regarding my current meds. I fumbled around trying to enter my password but couldn't remember it.  I loved the PIN used for login. Very quick & easy to use. Please bring it back.

I dislike that sometimes it's difficult to find messages that are sent if I'm not checking myChart regularly - I feel sometimes I get notifications and sometimes I do not.

I strongly recommend using this. It's an easy format to communicate with patients and have their basic needs met - billing, appointments, some questions.

I can access and request health data and needs at any time day or night.  I usually get a very quick reply as well.

It takes away that in person to person element we grew up with but that is it so far.

Mychart is very easy to use, user friendly and accessible by computer or phone app.  You can request refills, appointments in person or virtual, and ask questions of your health care provider(s).  This can all be done at any time of the day or night.

Having a busy work schedule, I am able to send a message after hours.  I am not left with an inability to reach out for scheduling an appointment after office hours.  Same with requesting an appointment or refills.

I dislike the inability to expand forms and use the MyChart vehicle as a PRO platform.

MyChart helps gather information ahead of time or allows patients to send information before and after visits so as to better plan care and time follow up.  The benefits are communication both directions with customers, but the real benefit is the potential use of PRO's through MyChart.

I like how I'm able to see my test results as soon as they're available, even before my physician's office calls me with results. I also like that I'm able to track all of my appointments.

There are certain notifications I can't get to go away, but I'm sure that's user error.

It is easy to be used by sophisticated clinicians and also user-friendly to patients. It can be accessible at the computer desk and also on the go on your personal phone.

It can have more, options, however not sure if Loma Linda has opted to have all of them .

Like other things with epic their are many redundant ways to get to the same page, lots of links etc. Could look nicer from a graphic user interface point of view.

**What do you like best about MyChart?**

What I benefited from was being able to look at exactly what the nurses have for under my medications, my allergies etc on the tv easily using the remote. I would know what is happening forward and be prepared internally knowing, okay, I know what’s going on versus the rushed experience without knowing it being told what’s happening. We shouldn’t have to ask. 

**What do you dislike about MyChart?**

The least helpful part was the immunizations reminder, even though I already took them but outside of The specific group. It won’t let the nurses update it.

**Recommendations to others considering MyChart:**

BEST THING EVER!! I only go to iNova because they have this implemented. Any office that doesn’t, I find one that does have it. I want to know what’s going on in my life too.

I’m able to use this as a product to recommend when fellow doctors offices or any medical practice is opening, I always recommend MyChart for the best patient doctor experience.

**What do you like best about MyChart?**

EPIC is an excel EMR system and I would highly recommend it to other hospitals. Specifically, EPIC My Chart  keeps patient records organized and it is a super efficient system to put in all the necessary patient information in a centralized location. 
 

Specifically, Epic Mychart allows for great communication between the provider and the patient. All old messages are stored so that a provider can pull up old conversations/notes on the patient. MyChart provides patients the peace of mind to know that their provider is only a message away. 

I really can't say enough about this EMR system, specifically MyChart, but it is really a great system, for administrators, providers, and patients.

**What do you dislike about MyChart?**

It has so much information/tools that I feel like we have barely scratched the surface of all of its capabilities. I feel like we are underutilizing the system and we can do more!

Epic and Cisco is an awesome combination in the healthcare world. Epic is accessible from the hospital to home and is very detailed with it's charts.

There's really nothing that I don't like about epic.

Please use this while in a hosoy. You can have your results as the team is going over your issues.

My chart is great for patients to look up all their medical information as we are updating things from epic into their charts all the time. The patients have access to test results and everything now.

I was a scribe for Beaumont and we used Epic to log doctor notes and patient information and also billing.

I can't open multiple patient files simultaneously, which slowed me down.

Epic is the most streamlined charting system I have used- easy to navigate with the mouse or the keyboard, able to find daily/weekly views on all flowsheets.

This is great for allowing patients to see their lab results quickly and gives them options to better understand their results when staff is sometimes too busy to explain these things

LoIt can be time consuming to set up and then determine who is an appropriate patient to use it

Everything is available in real-time and in easy to read format. You can access most information that is pertinent in a quick and efficient manner. The entire platform is organized well for user ease. 

**What do you dislike about MyChart?**

Some information is not displayed and I’m still not sure why. If you need details on a certain visit you aren’t always able to get then to show. 

**What problems is MyChart solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m not solving problems but I do think it’s made me more aware and have fewer miscommunications.

The email feature only allows for specific subjects, so if you have something that doesn't fit, you have to choose OTHER. There should be a free typing area for the subject.

Easy to use and great with the app.

I did not like the lack of providers available on this software, there is a hassle when trying to add anyone new,.
