What do you like best about MineralTree?

I really like the ease of the application and its sync to NetSuite. It used to take us hours to manually enter payments in each purchase order after handwriting a check, and MineralTree saves us a lot of time here. It has also reduced our accounts payable staff from two people to one, saving hours worked and manpower. The setup of MineralTree was very easy, even though it was around 7 years ago, and I remember that well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MineralTree?

We tried the invoice capture feature, but it didn't work too well for us. It seemed faster to create bills ourselves. When bills moved to a pending approval stage because they didn't match the PO, my admin couldn't see them in her queue to approve. Also, invoices were saved as drafts when there was no PO number, warehouse location, or the vendor's part number didn't match ours. This ended up taking more time. What do you like best about MineralTree?

The document capture feature works very smoothly. Additionally, we can forward items from our internal AP mailbox to the Mineral Tree capture email, which means our vendors no longer need to use separate email addresses to send us documents. Implementation and integration with SAGE Intacct were very easy and did not take a huge commitment from our internal team. The software worked as promised from the start. The account manager did 3 separate training calls for our internal users. She was very knowledgeable and made the transition an easy one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MineralTree?

To review the accounting coding used for an invoice, the approver must log in to the software and search for the specific invoice. However, most approvers do not take the time to do this; instead, they simply click the Approve button without checking the accounting details. This often leads to additional re-work. Regarding the Approvals from email, this is usually best permitted for Approvers that don't need to review coding details (those who just need to look at the invoice and documents attached). Customers that require Approvers to review coding often disable the ability for email approvals to ensure accuracy and eliminate rework. This is up to your team and what works best for you, but if you'd like to take a look at this process, please feel welcome to email customersuccess@mineraltree.com and our CS team will reach out to review your setup.

What do you like best about MineralTree?

We use MineralTree for processing invoices and it is both amazing and well equipped. It comes with great automation features and it makes auto reading invoices and data entry easy.

The AP automation features are also very helpful and the tool easily integrates with other accounting solution.

The tool also makes payment processing easy which comes as a plus.

What do you like best about MineralTree?

What do you dislike about MineralTree?

While they continue to make changes, I don't feel they listen to their customers about what improvements we want. I have been using this product for 8 years, and I still have the same requests I did when we moved onto MT. 1) They still can't handle credits within MT; 2) They don't have valuable reporting, nor a way to create your own reports; 3) They cannot read ship to addresses to distinguish vendors between locations; 4) They updated the main invoice page and now you have to do more clicks to see everything you need to because they added tabs; and 5) They have not tightened up the invoice coding area. We appreciate the feedback about the invoice status once you've paid and approved invoices. Our product team is actively working on some updates to the Invoice Approvals process. In the near future, Invoice Approvers will see a pop-up message to confirm the invoice was Approved. For now, you can see a detailed Invoice History in the Invoice Details page. We're so happy to hear your processes are easy with MineralTree and that you can now use ACH payments. I will pass along your credit application comment to our internal teams. While some of the ERPs we support allow for credit application directly in MineralTree, others currently do not. In those instances, credits are applied directly in the ERP, but the credits do sync to MineralTree to show the amount applied on the invoice.

What do you like best about MineralTree?

MineralTree has really helped us process our payables more efficiently by automating coding, approval routing, and mobile payment approval. The implementation was easy and we were able to start using the software quickly. Its seemless integration with NetSuite has resulted in a significant reduction of paper usage in our office. The customer support team has been able to help us quickly with any issues, which are few and far between. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about MineralTree?

We implemented back in 2018 and at that time the PO matching functionality would not have been effective for us. The primary reason we implemented AP automation was to simplify the approval of invoices and payments. Since PO's are being issued and approved in NetSuite, invoices associated with PO's do not need to be approved, so this has helped us lower the cost of the software by not entering those invoices in MineralTree.
