It used to take us hours to manually enter payments in each purchase order after handwriting a check, and MineralTree saves us a lot of time here. It has also reduced our accounts payable staff from two people to one, saving hours worked and manpower. The setup of MineralTree was very easy, even though it was around 7 years ago, and I remember that well. **What do you dislike about MineralTree?** We tried the invoice capture feature, but it didn't work too well for us. It seemed faster to create bills ourselves. When bills moved to a pending approval stage because they didn't match the PO, my admin couldn't see them in her queue to approve. Also, invoices were saved as drafts when there was no PO number, warehouse location, or the vendor's part number didn't match ours. This ended up taking more time. **Recommendations to others considering MineralTree:** Not really does everything we need it to do **What problems is MineralTree solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use MineralTree to process check payments and create credit card tokens, which saves us hours of work and manpower. Additionally, we can forward items from our internal AP mailbox to the Mineral Tree capture email, which means our vendors no longer need to use separate email addresses to send us documents. Implementation and integration with SAGE Intacct were very easy and did not take a huge commitment from our internal team. The software worked as promised from the start. The account manager did 3 separate training calls for our internal users. She was very knowledgeable and made the transition an easy one. **What do you dislike about MineralTree?** To review the accounting coding used for an invoice, the approver must log in to the software and search for the specific invoice. However, most approvers do not take the time to do this; instead, they simply click the Approve button without checking the accounting details. I have been using this product for 8 years, and I still have the same requests I did when we moved onto MT. 1) They still can't handle credits within MT; 2) They don't have valuable reporting, nor a way to create your own reports; 3) They cannot read ship to addresses to distinguish vendors between locations; 4) They updated the main invoice page and now you have to do more clicks to see everything you need to because they added tabs; and 5) They have not tightened up the invoice coding area. They use too much real estate for coding making it harder to enter. **What problems is MineralTree solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are solving issues with the approval process where it was hard to know which invoices were sitting on someone's desk. Now we have centralized where all invoices come and we know where it is in the approval process. We have also solved the issue of not being able to see an invoice if we weren't at the corporate office. Finally, paying invoices is easy and straight forward. Because of all of this, we were able to reduce our headcount. ### 7. The implementation was easy and we were able to start using the software quickly. Its seemless integration with NetSuite has resulted in a significant reduction of paper usage in our office. The customer support team has been able to help us quickly with any issues, which are few and far between. **What do you dislike about MineralTree?** We implemented back in 2018 and at that time the PO matching functionality would not have been effective for us. The primary reason we implemented AP automation was to simplify the approval of invoices and payments. Since PO's are being issued and approved in NetSuite, invoices associated with PO's do not need to be approved, so this has helped us lower the cost of the software by not entering those invoices in MineralTree. **What problems is MineralTree solving and how is that benefiting you?** We previously had all non-PO invoices either signed for approval or emailed for approval. We can now easily review and approve invoices with a few clicks on our phone or computer. We also wanted the ability to pay vendors more securely and timely by using virtual cards or ACH. This has allowed us to take advantage of prompt pay discounts and negotiate better terms with our vendors. The implementation team is the best I have seen - knowledgable and responsive! Super happy with Mineral Tree and the whole organization is happy as well. **What do you dislike about MineralTree?** International direct debit payments needs to be faster. Alternatively these can be next day directly with the bank so not a major issue. **What problems is MineralTree solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mineral Tree solved the ACH positive Pay files with my bank. The vendor and payment integration is seamless and it was up and running immediately upon activation. I love that we have a dedicated customer success manager that we can contact directly anytime rather than needing to always go through support. With other providers, when issues arose, we always had to open a support ticket and then it wasn't a given that we would hear back. With MineralTree, our customer success manager always responds timely. Implementation was an absolute breeze. We were up and running within days and within the first week, MineralTree had almost all of our vendors enrolled in the virtual card program that were prevously enrolled with our old provider as well as some new ones and continue to enroll new vendors weekly. Finally, I love the balance between MineralTree's interaction with our vendors and our ability to support vendors. With other providers, any vendor changes need to go through the provider's portal and it may take days for changes to go through. The reality is that the vendor relationship is with us; not the third party payment provider so we need to have some control over that relationship. MineralTree provides that perfect balance. **What do you dislike about MineralTree?** My only complaint is that MineralTree is a little more expensive than the other services out there; however I do believe that you get what you pay for and we get way better service and a way better platform with MineralTree over the other providers we tried in the past. And the reporting features are helpful for various tasks such as showing what bills need approved for monthly accruals. As well as supporting that bills are OK to pay by running approval reports. **What do you dislike about MineralTree?** Glitches are inconvenient. Such as we have two A/P accounts to choose from. But sometimes the A/P account changes and I don't know how it got changed because we never use that account for bills processed in MT. This then causes payments from MT to not sync at all to QB. Also our "class" project codes are messed up so I have duplicate options to choose from. MT is setup to default to the lowercase letters, but it does always do this. And if I choose the one with uppercase letters then it will not sync to Quick Books because it is not a valid code. Also sometime a bill will have a broken sync, I don't know why this happens. And if its not paid through Mineral Tree and it is marked as paid in QB, it will not show as paid in MT. The feature in MT to mark a bill as manually paid is not ideal because then my supervisor who approves payments is concerned that a manual payment in Mineral Tree will somehow sync to QB to show it as duplicate paid. I wish the feature for marking things as manually paid stated that it will not sync anything to QB at all, but rather just mark as paid in MT. Also on the new beta I do miss the check mark box for syncing bills to QB. That was something I was used to doing with a checkmark and without the check box it seems less obvious that you are syncing a bill to QB. **What problems is MineralTree solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mineral tree allows all of our A/P invoices to be stored and filed orderly. The approval process is streamlined. I beleive Allocation Templates have the potential to do more by allowing default coding but not being constrained by values. We updated out company logo and MineralTree would only fix it for a large amount of money. Prior to our implementation, all invoices were routed through an approval workflow in Netsuite, which our users did not like. I can also make edits on invoices, but I'm unable to save those edits directly in MineralTree (instead, I have to save the copy to my desktop, reupload the invoice that has the changes, and then attach to the original invoice).
