We have a dinosaur-model accounting system that MineralTree doesn’t integrate with easily. We’re supposed to receive payment files on the same day each week so we can import them into that system, but there have been many times when we don’t receive the file and I then have to reach out to request it. We have many staff members that travel and a large chunk of them either approve invoices and/or signed checks. Previously, we had to wait until those individuals returned to approve invoices or send payments. Now, each staff member may review & approve invoices and payments effortlessly while traveling. It has also reduced our accounts payable staff from two people to one, saving hours worked and manpower. When bills moved to a pending approval stage because they didn't match the PO, my admin couldn't see them in her queue to approve. Also, invoices were saved as drafts when there was no PO number, warehouse location, or the vendor's part number didn't match ours. This ended up taking more time. Implementation and integration with SAGE Intacct were very easy and did not take a huge commitment from our internal team. The software worked as promised from the start. Regarding the Approvals from email, this is usually best permitted for Approvers that don't need to review coding details (those who just need to look at the invoice and documents attached). Customers that require Approvers to review coding often disable the ability for email approvals to ensure accuracy and eliminate rework. They added allocation templates which are decent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about MineralTree? While they continue to make changes, I don't feel they listen to their customers about what improvements we want. I have been using this product for 8 years, and I still have the same requests I did when we moved onto MT. 1) They still can't handle credits within MT; 2) They don't have valuable reporting, nor a way to create your own reports; 3) They cannot read ship to addresses to distinguish vendors between locations; 4) They updated the main invoice page and now you have to do more clicks to see everything you need to because they added tabs; and 5) They have not tightened up the invoice coding area. They use too much real estate for coding making it harder to enter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is MineralTree solving and how is that benefiting you? We are solving issues with the approval process where it was hard to know which invoices were sitting on someone's desk. Now we have centralized where all invoices come and we know where it is in the approval process. We have also solved the issue of not being able to see an invoice if we weren't at the corporate office. Finally, paying invoices is easy and straight forward. Our product team is actively working on some updates to the Invoice Approvals process. In the near future, Invoice Approvers will see a pop-up message to confirm the invoice was Approved. While it's not possible to retract a payment after it's been marked as approved, you do have the option to void a payment.
